Welcome to PetFix Northeast Ohio

PetFix Northeast Ohio operates as a specialized Pet Hospital, centrally located at 885 E 222nd St, Euclid, OH 44123, USA. As a non-profit organization, its core mission is to provide high-quality, affordable spay and neuter surgeries to end pet homelessness and the need for unnecessary euthanasia across Northeast Ohio. This unique focus differentiates it from traditional full-service veterinary clinics, positioning it as a crucial resource within the "Pet Hospital" category for specific surgical needs. PetFix aims to make these vital procedures accessible to all pet owners, feral cat caregivers, shelters, rescues, and animal control agencies, thereby tackling pet overpopulation at its root.

The environment at PetFix Northeast Ohio is structured for efficiency and professionalism, optimized for the high volume of surgical procedures they perform daily. While not designed for extensive waiting room amenities or long-term hospitalization, the facility prioritizes a streamlined intake-to-discharge process. Customers consistently commend the "organizational flow at intake with the paperwork, instructions etc." This indicates a well-oiled machine where every step, from scheduling an appointment with staff like "Ms. Dee" to check-in and pick-up, is handled with clarity and precision. The overall atmosphere, as described by clients, is one of "Awesome professional Staff" and "Great customer Service," emphasizing a supportive and welcoming environment despite the specialized nature of their services. While a clean and functional surgical environment is paramount, the focus remains on ensuring a smooth, stress-free experience for both pets and their owners, even those commuting from considerable distances, such as Lorain, Ohio, deeming the travel "so worth it."

The services provided by PetFix Northeast Ohio are primarily centered around spay and neuter surgeries for dogs and cats. They cater to a broad clientele, including owned pets, community/feral cats, and animals from shelters and rescues. Their pricing structure is designed to be affordable, making these essential procedures accessible to a wider demographic. For instance, female dog spays range from $105 to $125 depending on weight, while male dog neuters are between $95 and $115. Cat spays are priced at $70 and neuters at $50, with a reduced fee of $25 for feral cat spay/neuter which requires an ear-tip. In addition to the surgeries, they offer supplementary services such as vaccinations (DHPP/FVRCP for $15, 1-year Rabies for $6, available only with surgery), nail trims ($10, only with surgery), topical flea & tick prevention ($12 for a 30-day supply), and microchips ($20, includes free registration). Importantly, all animals receive pain medication at no additional charge, and a free e-collar/cone is provided to prevent licking of the incision area. It's crucial to note that PetFix Northeast Ohio does not offer general wellness or vaccine-only appointments; their services are specifically tied to spay/neuter procedures. For general veterinary care, they advise contacting a full-service veterinarian. Since its inception in 2006, PetFix has performed well over 130,000 surgeries, significantly impacting pet overpopulation in the region.

Several key features define PetFix Northeast Ohio's unique position as a Pet Hospital. Firstly, their commitment to providing "Low cost with Quality care" is consistently highlighted by satisfied customers. This mantra is not just an advertisement but, as one client noted, a "Statement" they "Back this Statement up." This dual focus on affordability and high medical standards is critical for their mission. Secondly, their specialization in spay/neuter allows them to achieve high volume and efficiency, which often translates into lower costs for pet owners. They operate as a high-volume, high-quality clinic, a model that has proven effective in addressing pet overpopulation. Thirdly, their dedication to community welfare extends to their feral cat program, which plays a vital role in humanely managing free-roaming cat populations through Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) initiatives. This proactive approach helps prevent the birth of countless unwanted kittens. While the vast majority of feedback is overwhelmingly positive, one review mentioned an isolated issue with nail trims, where a dog's nails were cut too short, resulting in bleeding. This highlights a minor area for potential improvement in a facility that otherwise receives praise for its professional surgical outcomes and staff demeanor. The overall consensus, however, remains strongly positive regarding the professionalism and care provided during the critical surgical procedures.

Promotional information for PetFix Northeast Ohio largely centers on its core mission and the tangible benefits of its services. Their television advertisements are effective, as evidenced by a client who learned about them through such a campaign. The phrase "Low cost with Quality care" serves as a powerful and direct message to potential clients. Beyond direct advertising, their non-profit status allows them to highlight the broader societal impact of their work – reducing pet homelessness and unnecessary euthanasia. They often collaborate with other animal welfare organizations, shelters, and rescues, which helps disseminate information about their services. Their website provides clear information on services and fees, allowing pet owners to easily understand costs and make informed decisions. PetFix also leverages positive customer testimonials, which serve as organic and highly credible endorsements. The sheer volume of surgeries performed since 2006 (over 130,000 as of recent reports) acts as a powerful testament to their operational scale and community impact. They may also promote their services through community events, partnerships with local veterinarians for referrals, and educational campaigns about responsible pet ownership, particularly the benefits of early spay/neuter for behavioral and health reasons. For those receiving government assistance, they may be eligible for reduced surgery fees through limited grant funding, further promoting accessibility. This focus on affordability and community benefit is a key promotional strategy, attracting pet owners who might otherwise struggle to afford these crucial procedures.

People were very nice, although they did cut my dogs nails way too short and he bled from almost all his nails. Seems like they need to do better with that. My dog was treated well and his operation went great and the people were very nice and professional. I just have an issue with the nails being cut and leaving blood stains on his toes. Need to do better with that. Maybe more training or slow down or I dunno. You guys gotta figure that out.

Wonderful experience! I am very grateful for the service provided to the animal population. Leia has shown no signs of discomfort since the surgery 2 weeks ago. The cost was significantly less than the vet as an added bonus!

Service was quick. My dog came out happy. She was treated well. The staff could see she was nervous and let me take her back to get a sedative to calm her down. Price was minimal compared to what some vets charge. They were also very helpful when I was getting my older dogs fixed and offered suggestions for affordable, quality options.
