Petcare Express

I found a stray cat, and brought him in to check for a microchip. Upon finding out he didn't have one and deciding I'd be keeping him, I was able to get him attended immediately. This included a test for any life threatening diseases, vaccines, flea medication, supplements, and a microchip. The cost was around $230, which I would say is very reasonable for such great service. The staff here is extremely friendly and understanding, walking me through every step and answering any questions I had. I was even taught how to clean my cat's ears with a quick tutorial by our amazing vet. Definitely do show up early to be attended quicker, I arrived at 9:30AM and was out the door by 12:30PM. There was 9 people in front of me in line, so it did take a while to get attended. If you have the time, I can't recommend this place enough!

I would definitely go to Petcare Express again. I took 4 foster kittens for Felv/FIV test and for skin issues. I could have had the test done without seeing the vet, but was given the option to wait to see the vet, as there were people in front of me also needing vet attention. I chose to wait, and I was impressed with the thorough exam. I received meds but was told that 2 of everything would cover the treatment for all 4 kittens. There is no pressure to buy extra. The reviews that mentioned people seen out of order probably didn't realize that most people wait outside in their cars and the front desk calls you when it's your turn, so it may feel like people are seen before you that just got there. I could not have been happier the service, the office (super clean), the staff and the vet. It can be a long wait, but absolutely worth it for the price.

I have always had a wonderful experience with both locations of Petcare Express. I used to go to the location on Holcomb Blvd but switched to the location on W43rd because it's closer to my home. Everyone is always kind and helpful. The entire crew is professional and courteous. I had the misfortune to have a dead battery recently when leaving the clinic and they kindly came out and gave my car a jump to get me on my way. I love them!

10/10 the best!! The wait time is long no doubt about it but you are able to leave and they will call you to come back when it’s your turn. From the time i checked in till I left the facility was 2 hours total, not bad considering the price. Pricing is cheap and the staff are all knowledgeable and friendly. They place gets busy so be sure to get a spot early!

The pricing is upfront and reasonable, they do not try to recommend any tests or treatments your pet doesn’t need, and, most importantly, the staff from reception to vet techs to vets, all care about your pet. They also never shame you for being in a low income situation. They never make you feel like you don’t care about your pets just because you don’t have a lot of money, and they work with you. The vets spend a lot of time talking to you, and are even personable. I had accompanied my sister-in-law to support her when she was thinking of putting her cat down, and the vet was very kind and reassuring. When it was time for her pet to cross the rainbow bridge, my SIL said they let her daughter hold their cat and brought her daughter tissues and a water bottle, and were very kind. I really feel like these may be the best vets in H-town or anywhere. They are worth the small inconvenience of waiting. I also like that they have an online store where I can purchase very reasonably priced flea medication. Five stars!
