Phenomenally kind staff who treated my husky with love and compassion. Found out he’s got an infection and sludge in his gallbladder, and they made me feel so much better by the end of our trip there, because I was scared I’d have to say goodbye forever. They have nice cushy dog beds in exam rooms which my boy appreciated, and they have cat climbing spots, too, which is amazing. Pricing was better than I expected, too. Would recommend them to anyone whose fur kid needs the care.

Based on the overwhelmingly positive customer reviews, Pet Urgent Care offers a remarkably comforting and well-organized environment designed to ease the stress associated with urgent veterinary visits. The clinic is described as "spotless and well-organized," which instills confidence in the level of care and hygiene provided. Notably, the facility goes above and beyond in creating a pet-friendly space, offering "nice cushy dog beds in exam rooms" that pets like and "cat climbing spots," catering to the specific needs and comfort of both canine and feline patients. This thoughtful attention to detail suggests a clinic that prioritizes the well-being and comfort of animals in distress.

Pet Urgent Care specializes in providing immediate medical attention for illnesses and injuries that require prompt veterinary intervention but may not be life-threatening emergencies requiring a 24-hour critical care facility. Their services are geared towards addressing urgent health concerns that cannot wait for a regular veterinary appointment. While the specific range of services isn't exhaustively listed in the reviews, it is reasonable to infer that they handle a variety of urgent medical situations, including infections, gastrointestinal issues (like the mentioned gallbladder sludge), sudden illnesses, minor injuries, and other acute conditions.

A significant feature of Pet Urgent Care is the exceptional kindness and compassion of their staff. Multiple reviewers highlight the empathetic and loving treatment their pets received. One pet owner whose husky was diagnosed with an infection and gallbladder issues specifically mentioned feeling "so much better" and reassured by the staff's demeanor, especially during a time of fear and uncertainty. This emphasis on emotional support for pet owners during stressful situations is a hallmark of their service.

Dr. Mike Severin is specifically commended in one review for his "deep knowledge and unwavering focus," which immediately put a pet owner at ease during a crisis with their cat. The reviewer also praised Dr. Severin for clearly explaining everything and showing genuine empathy, treating the pet as if it were his own. This personal and caring approach from the lead veterinarian is a significant feature of Pet Urgent Care.

The seamless teamwork and attentiveness of the entire staff contribute to a "calm and efficient environment," which is crucial in an urgent care setting where time and clear communication are paramount. This well-coordinated approach ensures that pets receive timely and effective care while owners feel supported and informed.

Another noteworthy feature mentioned by a reviewer is that the "pricing was better than I expected." This suggests that while providing urgent care services, Pet Urgent Care also strives to be reasonably priced, which can be a significant relief for pet owners facing unexpected veterinary expenses.

While the reviews do not explicitly mention specific promotional offers, urgent care facilities typically focus on providing immediate medical attention rather than routine promotions. However, they may offer transparent pricing structures or payment options, and it's always advisable to inquire about the costs of services upfront. Given the positive feedback on pricing, it's possible they aim to provide cost-effective urgent care solutions.

In summary, Pet Urgent Care in Troy, MI, stands out as a highly recommended pet hospital specializing in urgent veterinary needs. Their key features include a phenomenally kind and compassionate staff, a clean and well-organized clinic with thoughtful amenities for pets like comfy dog beds and cat climbing spots, and expert care provided by knowledgeable professionals like Dr. Mike Severin. The positive experiences shared by pet owners highlight the clinic's ability to provide not only effective medical treatment but also significant emotional support during stressful times. Additionally, their pricing is reported to be better than expected. I cannot thank Dr. Mike Severin and the team at Pet Urgent Care enough for their incredible help during a recent crisis with my cat. Dr. Severin’s deep knowledge and unwavering focus immediately put me at ease during a very stressful time. He explained everything clearly and showed genuine empathy throughout the process, treating my cat as if he were his own. The clinic itself is spotless and well-organized, which further reassured me that I was in the best possible place for urgent care. The staff was kind, attentive, and worked seamlessly as a team, creating a calm and efficient environment. While I prefer not to go into details, the care and expertise provided made a world of difference when I needed it most. If you’re looking for a vet who truly cares and a clinic that goes above and beyond, I highly recommend Dr. Severin and Pet Urgent Care. They are absolutely the best.

We had to take our 16 yr old kitty in, in February, and honestly this is best urgent care we've been to! Empathetic, kind, patient, everything you could ask for in a situation like this. They even called a couple days later to check on her! Kitty is doing better now thanks to them.. if you have to go make sure to give a pet to their "assistants"(I got to meet Blossom today 🥰)

I went here and drove double the distance since it is highly rated. I was seen at a reasonable amount of time, which I understand other emergencies take place and they did a good job updating me during the wait. Everyone was nice and helpful. However, 4 stars because of a miscommunication. I wasn’t verbally relayed information about her results I would have liked to know. I was told my animal would be back in an hour after testing, so early on in what I thought would be an hour wait, I went out to of the building for a few minutes. But within that time, the vet popped in and told my partner that her results were normal.(but next day I find notes about stuff going on in her x rays and when I called they said they already told us that- but my partner was told all is normal, and it wasn’t mentioned during discharge) Summary: I never got to speak to the vet about the findings since they never came in a second time into the room. I’m the owner of the cat so I would have appreciated the opportunity to talk to the vet myself about the findings- I brought her in to know what’s going on so I would have liked a conversation. It would have eliminated some of the “he said she said”. Thankfully she is doing better and I’m thankful for the prompt testing and attentiveness on their end. Pricing is reasonable.

My experience here was pretty good, the staff was very friendly and gentle with my senior dog. The vet was able to express her anal glands and make her feel a lot more comfortable. They also gave me medication to help with her diarrhea that had blood in it and did x-rays to ensure nothing was wrong internally (thankfully she was cleared). Overall, they take good care of your pets and try to find the best way to help them.
