Leaving a thorough review because they deserve every ounce of it and I hope it helps give someone an accurate picture of how incredible this place is. Not that a pet hospital is high up on any list of places to be with your furbaby, but if you need to be there its nice to know what you're getting into. We were referred here for oncology with Dr.Gedney when we discovered a pulmonary mass on our baby, Kodiak. He is doing well three days post op and he received THE BEST care from PETS Lancaster. They were able to get us in for initial consult with oncology within a week of referral. Dr.Gedney was intelligent, thorough, kind, calm, and wrote summaries of routes of care/possibilities on a white board while she was talking with us to help us process what could happen (which was super helpful). They brought him in for a CT with lung aspirate biopsy within ten days of the consult. 12 days later, we met Dr.Jaeger (his surgeon). She has a heart of pure gold. Similar to Dr.Gedney, kind, confident, supportive, intelligent, patient, compassionate, detail oriented- explained everything about his surgery and answered all questions/concerns as if there was no where else she would rather be. Dr.Jaeger performed an intercostal thoracotomy to remove the right caudal lung lobe that had a carcinoma in it. Staff made me feel welcome every time I came to them and especially while I waited through my baby's surgery. They understood I wanted to be as close by as possible and everyone was so kind. Nurses gave me updates through the surgery as they could. Dr.Jaeger personally came out to the waiting area after she was done to give me information about the surgery, tell me how Kodiak was doing, and sat with me until I was composed to drive. Again, a God send of a woman. She has Kodiak's best interests in mind and made decisions on us visiting him that would be least likely to make Kodiak anxious during recovery with us coming and going. I was in the waiting area for surgery for a couple of hours and every, single, patient and their family was greeted by a triage nurse that treated them as if it were a good friend they hadn't seen for a while that they had genuine concern and support for. In that time, I saw a couple furbabies brought back for vitals being doted and loved on with sweet words or cuddles by those nurses. Front staff were all kind and positive, every time the phone rang (didn't matter how slammed busy they were between phone lines) they answered with a smile and professionalism, always doing their best to provide updates to families calling in for inpatient. Liz was Kodiak's main nurse, she sent photos of my baby to me by my request and loved on Kodiak so much for us (we absolutely loved her!) , Nurse Sarah gave thorough discharge instructions with patience and a smile. There were a few doctors rotating through shifts while he was there as he was in for 48 hours & every single one called personally to give updates at least once per. I don't want to misspell any specific names, but they all deserve recognition! Kodiak had close eyes on him the entire time he was there and I'm confident this is the best hospital we could have taken him to. Their service rates are very fair, it was actually less than we thought it would be given he had major surgery, 48 hours of around the clock skilled care from doctors and nurses, medications, anesthesia, all of it. It's every pet owners responsibility to have some form of health/injury insurance on their pet to help with unexpected costs to fairly pay the hospital for their around the clock care and thankfully we did. If we had not, they had info on CareCredit at the front desk so that no one had to be turned away for service due to finances. The facility was super clean in the areas I saw personally and in the photos of Kodiak in recovery areas. I saw two staff members either mopping or going around cleaning bathrooms at separate times. I pray after his two week check up that he is safe, healthy, and that we don't have to return often, but I have faith in pet hospitals because of them. THANK YOU

I had to take my girl here for an ultrasound to make sure she didn't have any foreign objects in her stomach. They kept her overnight and called early in the morning to let me know how she was doing and to let me know what time the ultrasound would be. The dr called me right after the ultrasound to inform me that no objects were seen and that she was doing fine. When we came to pick her up the Dr. Came in and went over everything with us and brought her into us to take home. Everyone was great at this office from start to finish! I would highly recommend this Er to anyone that needs Er care, I felt confident leaving her with the staff. Thank you for taking good care of our girl. And they even called the next day to check up on her.

They were so good to us when we had to rush our dog in. She was triaged immediately into emergency surgery. When she was struggling to pull through they kept us informed and let us see her when we could. They saved her life and we are so grateful.

Had to take my kitten in for a high fever. The woman i saw was very nice the whole time, and she managed to work with my budget very well. They sent me home with meds for him, and he's recovering beautifully. I previously had to put down a pet here, and they were very kind there, too. They gave me a lot of time to sit with him before I made the final call, and I got to keep his ashes.

Traumatized, my baby wasnt treated humane from the start. All I heard was money talk and Uthinize . He wasn't given a chance. The vet I assume used him for practice because he convulsed in my arms instead of gently falling asleep. Im not even sure i got his ashes back. Sloppy and unprofessional and he suffered at their hands. I will not be able to get those last images out of my head. If you love your pet if it part of you i would take them else where. This place puts money above love. They recommend uthinizing 1st. He didn't deserve to die this way . This was him just days before before is inhumane death. He was my rock my strength.
