I highly recommend coming here for pet emergencies. It is best to call ahead and ask if your pet can be seen, if they have availability. They saw us right away and took great care of my weenie dog immediately when she was stung by a bee and had an allergic reaction. Very professional and friendly service. They helped me stay calm while my heart was racing and adrenaline pumping. Awesome staff and doctors. Thank you all very much! The facility was clean and tidy.

First I wanna talk about the service.. On my way to the hospital, I was reading other reviews and they all said that the girls at the lobby were rude and not really respectful, that wasn't my case, they were really patient and nice to us during the whole situation we went through with our cat. The doctor helped us with our cat because he had a claw ripped or something, he was bleeding a lot, but he got two stitches and a bandage, for that was $800 dlls.. Since I'm from Mexico, the prices in USA are disgusting and DISTURBING, because that same bandage and stitches would be less than $50 in my country, so I couldn't believe that our savings would go straight to ONE HOSPITAL VISIT, that was insane to me, and I'm still shocked.. My cat ripped the bandage ( which was $85 dlls..) we called to the vet and they were super nice and they helped us TWICE!!! to change the bandage with no extra charge, which was a relief, because $85 a bandage should be ilegal 😂 Anyways, the attention and help was good. The meds they sent were too strong for our cat, he was completely doped but he feels better. I appreciate your service, we wouldn't ever go back and definitely cross to Tijuana next time, but for an emergency, they did helped a lot with Fritz paw.

THEY PREY ON YOUR DESPERATION When I called, they said the examination was less than $200. Upon arrival, they took my dog away for VITALS. After anxiously waiting for what felt like forever, I was called to talk to the vet who gave me scary news, followed by "your bill is about 1k as of right now". Wait, she was taken in for vitals and examination only. At the time, I was too distressed to think straight, but now I see how the script is meant to create a sense of urgency to "save" your beloved dog. My experience with other animal hospitals: the vet examines my dog in front of me and has my permission for every additional exam/charge. That makes a lot of difference in terms of making an educated decision. If this happened to you too, let's report them to the American Veterinary Medical Association and the California Veterinary Medical Board.

I would like to thank everyone at the Pet Emergency and specialty center for helping me get through for trusting my decision and emotions of having to put my 18-years Old Baby to sleep. They took good care of him on the times when I had to take him to see them for his medical needs as well they are highly appreciated and I am just very thankful.

They took great care of our pup who decided to eat something he shouldn’t have! They were able to get him into surgery and everything went smoothly. I appreciate the upfront estimate on cost for care as well, so we knew what to expect. Emergent care isn’t cheap, but they made it worth it!
