I want to thank the staff that was working the morning of Sunday, March 29, 2025. Salem, my best friend, and the love of my life was being treated by my local vet. Despite all our efforts, nothing seemed to be working. Sunday morning Salem nudged me with his nose to wake me up, then collapse in my arms. Me and my friend share our dogs, and they are never left alone. Either I'm there or he's there or Salem and his girl, Scout are with each other. So, I immediately called him and told him Salem was going down fast. He was there in 3 minutes! He put Salem in my car and the 3 of us were off, racing to Kannapolis. I called your office and explained the situation and was told you'd be ready for our arrival, thinking it was going to be surgery and we'd be bringing him home. But, woefully, it didn't happen that way, Salem passed on the exit before we got there. When we arrived we were grief stricken and honestly in shock. That's when 2 angels came out to meet us with a gurney. They took the 3 of us to a private room where we could mourn over his sudden passing. The dignity and respect they showed us was heartfelt and profound. My friend and Salem's dad took care of all the final arrangements because I couldn't. He explained we wanted Salem's ashes, but no urn or other remembrances. He paid for the ashes and we quietly headed home. A few days later we went back to pick Salem up, and we were moved beyond words, I was handed a bag with Salem's ashes in a beautifully carved urn along with his paw print and other items. The love, the kindness, and the respect for animals makes Pet Emergency & Trauma Services, my hero. They made sure Salem received a royal send-off, and I will forever be thankful. PETS went above and beyond. And I now know a heart can be forever broken while yet feel full of deep appreciation and gratitude. Sincerely, Meg Freeman

This introduction provides information about Pet Emergency and Trauma Services, located at 3003 Dale Earnhardt Blvd, Kannapolis, NC 28083, USA. Understanding the capabilities and compassionate nature of such emergency facilities can be valuable for pet owners in Singapore, even though direct access is not possible. It highlights the importance of having access to similar emergency services within their local community.
Pet Emergency and Trauma Services (often referred to as PETS by their clients) operates as a specialized veterinary hospital focused on handling emergency and trauma cases. Unlike general practice veterinary clinics that primarily offer routine and preventative care, an emergency and trauma center is equipped and staffed to deal with critical and often life-threatening situations that require immediate medical attention. The environment of such a facility is typically fast-paced and equipped with advanced medical equipment necessary for critical care, including oxygen support, monitoring devices, and surgical suites for emergency procedures. While specific details about the physical layout are not provided in the reviews, the nature of their services implies a facility designed for urgent and intensive medical interventions.
The services offered by Pet Emergency and Trauma Services are centered around emergency and critical care for pets. Based on the customer reviews, these services include:
- Emergency Medical Care: The primary function is to provide immediate medical attention for pets experiencing sudden illness, accidents, or other critical health issues. The first review illustrates a situation where the pet required urgent care due to a sudden collapse.
- Trauma Care: As the name suggests, they are equipped to handle pets that have sustained traumatic injuries, such as those from accidents. The second review details the care provided to a cat with extensive facial injuries from an accident.
- Critical Care and Monitoring: Pets in severe conditions often require continuous monitoring and intensive medical support, such as oxygen therapy, intravenous fluids, and constant observation. This is evident in the care provided to the injured cat who was kept overnight on oxygen.
- Surgical Intervention: Emergency situations often necessitate immediate surgery to address life-threatening conditions or injuries. While not explicitly detailed in the reviews, a trauma center would typically have the capability to perform emergency surgical procedures.
- Pain Management and Symptomatic Relief: Ensuring the comfort of pets in distress is a priority. The second review mentions easing a terminally ill pet's symptoms while the owners waited.
- Euthanasia and Compassionate End-of-Life Care: In cases where a pet's condition is irreversible or causing severe suffering, humane euthanasia is a critical service. The first review poignantly describes the compassionate and respectful way the staff handled the passing of a beloved pet. This includes providing a private space for mourning and assisting with aftercare arrangements.
- Aftercare Services: This can include options for cremation and the return of ashes. The first review details the unexpected and deeply appreciated gesture of providing the pet's ashes in a carved urn, along with a paw print and other mementos.
Several features of Pet Emergency and Trauma Services are highlighted in the customer reviews. The rapid response and readiness to receive critical patients are evident in the first review. The compassionate and respectful treatment of both the pets and their grieving owners is a recurring theme, particularly in the context of end-of-life care. The expertise and dedication of the medical staff are showcased in the successful treatment of the severely injured cat. The willingness to go "above and beyond" in providing comfort and support to grieving families, such as the unexpected provision of an urn and paw print, demonstrates a high level of empathy and care. The detailed account of the injured cat's recovery underscores the thorough and effective medical care provided, including overnight monitoring and oxygen therapy. While one reviewer noted a potential for waiting times, this is often the nature of emergency services where critical cases are prioritized.
Currently, there is no specific promotional information available in the provided text. Emergency veterinary services typically focus on providing immediate care when needed, and their pricing structures reflect the specialized nature of their services and the urgency of the situations they handle. Information about costs and payment options would usually be discussed directly with pet owners at the time of service.
For pet owners in Singapore, understanding the importance of having access to emergency veterinary care is crucial. The experiences shared by the customers of Pet Emergency and Trauma Services underscore the unpredictable nature of pet emergencies and the vital role that specialized emergency veterinary hospitals play in these situations. The level of care, compassion, and support provided can make a significant difference to both the pet and the pet owner during a crisis. Apr 08, 2025 · meg PeckI have had to take two pets here. One was in one of the worst situations a pet owner can have, we had to suddenly say goodbye to a pet of 17 years. They were very kind and helped to ease her symptoms while they waited for my husband to arrive so we could both be there. The second, which photos are attached (only after healing), are where they helped my cat after and accident. We thought that she would always look different because her face had extensive facial skin injuries but they did everything they could for her that day. They were clear that her stitches may not hold but they did and she's healed surely wonderfully. If it was not for her shaved paw and neck it would be very hard to tell she had an accident at all. It's been less than 3 weeks. I hate to be so gruesome but when we found her she looked like she could have been a prop in a horror movie and until we broke her out of shock and she moved we didn't think she would be ok enough to make it. But here she is, completely normal. Of course it was not just stitches. They kept her overnight on oxygen and monitored her. She needed good care and she got it. They are very nice and they are good doctors. Just be prepared to wait.
Dec 05, 2024 · BecYesterday was one of the hardest days of my life. I had to say goodbye to my sweet boy very suddenly. The whole team was so empathetic and compassionate. I can't stay thank yall enough for being there for Herb and my family during this crappy time. No matter what it sucked, but yall made him and us a lot more comfortable with it all.
Feb 24, 2025 · Maren McCraryOne of our dogs was passing away due to old age. I rushed her to the pet emergency room at 2am for them to help her pass and not suffer. The girls there were so helpful and caring and comforting during a sad and slightly traumatic experience. Their cremation services were outstanding. They've even reached out a few weeks later to check in with us.
Apr 10, 2025 · David Baz IIII have had very positive experiences at this location. While it’s unfortunate that I had to take my dog here, the doctors and staff are incredible! They were compassionate, thoughtful and gave explanations that were clear. I wish they treated humans! Highly recommend them if you have a pet crisis!
