The kindest people came to Eve’s rescue. We were visiting grandma in Perry County and our sweet mixed chihuahua suddenly had an abscess and wasn’t eating. We called around and we’re turned away with closed or no appointment available. Luckily this animal hospital made time for us and didn’t take advantage of us on their charges. They worked me in immediately and provided excellent care. I highly recommend this clean and well trained team. Great experience and heartfelt thank you for saving Eve.

Welcome to Perry County Animal Hospital

Welcome to Perry County Animal Hospital, your local Pet Hospital located at 9050 IN-237, Tell City, IN 47586, USA. As a veterinary care provider in the Perry County area, we aim to offer services that cater to the health and well-being of your pets. We understand that your animal companions are important to you, and we encourage you to consider the experiences shared by other pet owners when evaluating our clinic.

Based on the available customer reviews, Perry County Animal Hospital has elicited contrasting experiences. One review recounts a positive emergency situation where the clinic demonstrated kindness and efficiency. A visitor to Perry County whose chihuahua developed an abscess and was not eating was turned away by other clinics due to being closed or having no appointments available. Perry County Animal Hospital, however, made time for them immediately, provided excellent care, and, importantly, did not take advantage of their urgent situation with excessive charges. The reviewer described the team as well-trained and the clinic as clean, highly recommending their services and expressing heartfelt gratitude for saving their pet.

In stark contrast, another review details a negative experience involving a severely injured stray kitten found in a dumpster. The reviewer's account suggests that the clinic prioritized payment over immediate care or humane euthanasia. According to this review, the clinic allegedly refused to put the suffering kitten down peacefully without an "outrageous fee" and stated they would not be able to examine the kitten until Friday, despite it being Wednesday. The reviewer expressed strong disapproval of this approach, suggesting that the clinic prioritized money over the animal's welfare in this instance.

Given these divergent accounts, it is difficult to form a singular definitive picture of the environment and service at Perry County Animal Hospital. One review praises a clean clinic and a well-trained, kind team responsive to emergencies, while the other paints a picture of a clinic perceived as prioritizing financial gain over animal suffering in a critical situation. Potential clients may have different experiences based on the nature of their pet's needs and the circumstances of their visit.

The services offered at Perry County Animal Hospital can be inferred to include emergency care (as demonstrated by the positive review where they accommodated a walk-in emergency) and general veterinary services. The negative review implies that euthanasia is a service they could provide, although the circumstances surrounding it were heavily criticized by that particular reviewer. It is reasonable to assume they also offer other standard veterinary services such as examinations, treatments for illnesses, and possibly surgical procedures. However, the conflicting reviews make it challenging to assess the typical delivery and prioritization of these services.

A feature highlighted in the positive review is the kindness and helpfulness of the staff, as well as the cleanliness of the clinic. Additionally, the reviewer appreciated that the clinic did not overcharge for an emergency visit. Conversely, the negative review suggests a potential feature of prioritizing payment upfront, even in situations involving a suffering animal.

Currently, there is no information available regarding specific promotions or unique services beyond the general provision of veterinary care. Potential local users should consider both the positive experience of prompt, effective emergency care at reasonable prices and the negative experience concerning the handling of a severely injured stray animal when deciding whether to utilize Perry County Animal Hospital.

Given the mixed feedback, it might be prudent to inquire about their policies, especially regarding emergency care and payment, to ensure they align with your expectations.

In conclusion, Perry County Animal Hospital in Tell City, IN, has received both high praise for its kind emergency response and excellent care in one instance, and severe criticism for its alleged prioritization of payment over the immediate needs of a suffering animal in another. Potential clients should be aware of these contrasting experiences when considering this Pet Hospital.

Was our first appointment for my German Shepard puppy. Very happy with the customer service provided today. Our bill was explained at the beginning along with explanation of what and why the Dr recommends certain things. Very impressed with the space provided for waiting. Plenty of room so everyone can be separated.

The assistants and Matt are so great to deal with. Matt is a very caring vet. They work so well with even sassy cats like my Bella who found her safe spot in the sink.

The vet and staff are very kind and knowledgeable. They take their time to explain things to us to allow us to make an informative decision for our fur babies. We have 2 dogs and 2 cats and will definitely continue to place their care here. When our previous vets office closed, I was initially hesitant to make this decision because many in the community stated “they’re way too expensive there.” Thats not the case at all! We have literally saved hundreds through the past year at this office compared to the other vets we used in the past (not the one closed), trying to find a trustworthy, affordable vet office. We appreciate them!
