Dr. Page is amazing! She looks at the horse as a whole and has such a talent for knowing the issues the horse is presenting. My gelding is sensitive and he really likes her. She loves sharing education and is so encouraging. From chiropractic to acupuncture to nutrition, she looks at it all. She is fairly priced but I would pay more for her expertise. I wish I had found her years ago. She is changing my OTTB's world!

The environment of Peninsula Equine Services, while not explicitly described as a physical clinic space with a waiting room, is characterized by its dedication to providing care where the horses are most comfortable. Given that equine veterinary services often involve mobile visits to barns, stables, and individual properties, the "environment" is effectively the horse's familiar surroundings. This approach inherently reduces stress for the animal and allows the veterinarian to observe the horse in its natural habitat. The reviews consistently highlight the comfort horses feel with Dr. Page, even sensitive ones. This suggests a calm, reassuring, and professional demeanor that translates into a positive experience for the equine patients. The operational environment is therefore one of expertise, patience, and adaptability, ensuring optimal care delivery regardless of the specific location of the horse.
Peninsula Equine Services, under the expert guidance of Dr. Page, offers a specialized and comprehensive suite of veterinary services tailored specifically for horses. Their approach is notably holistic, looking at "the horse as a whole" rather than just isolated symptoms. Key services provided include:
- Chiropractic Care: Dr. Page is highlighted as an exceptional equine chiropractor, addressing musculoskeletal imbalances that can impact performance, comfort, and overall health. This service aims to improve mobility and alleviate pain through spinal and joint adjustments.
- Acupuncture: As an integrative therapy, acupuncture is offered to address a variety of conditions, from pain management and lameness to internal organ dysfunction, promoting natural healing and balance within the horse's body.
- Nutrition Consultation: Recognizing the critical role of diet in equine health, Peninsula Equine Services provides expert advice on nutrition. This involves assessing current feeding regimes and recommending tailored plans to support specific health needs, performance goals, or recovery processes.
- Lameness Diagnosis and Treatment: This is a core aspect of equine veterinary care. Dr. Page's "diagnostic ability" is specifically praised, indicating a thorough and accurate approach to identifying the root cause of lameness, which can be complex in horses. Treatment plans would then be developed based on these precise diagnoses.
- Comprehensive Wellness Exams: While not explicitly stated, a holistic equine practice would undoubtedly include thorough wellness examinations to assess overall health, identify potential issues early, and establish preventive care plans.
- General Equine Veterinary Care: Beyond the specialized services, the practice likely handles a range of general veterinary needs for horses, although the reviews emphasize their unique and advanced offerings. This could include vaccinations, deworming protocols, dental examinations, and basic wound care.
The focus on integrative therapies like chiropractic and acupuncture, combined with traditional veterinary diagnostics, demonstrates a commitment to providing a well-rounded and effective approach to equine health.
