We recently had our Doberman’s ears cropped at this clinic, and we couldn’t be more pleased with the experience. Dr. V and his staff went above and beyond in every way. The staff was incredibly kind and attentive, making us feel completely at ease throughout the process. Dr. V not only did a fantastic job with the ear crop but also took the time to explain every step of the procedure. He even allowed us to specify the exact length and look we wanted for our pup's ears. When we picked up our dog after surgery, we were touched to see that Dr. V had personalized his bandages with a "K" for Kyro—such a thoughtful and special detail. The results exceeded our expectations; his ears look great! Additionally, Dr. V’s extensive knowledge of the Doberman breed was evident as he shared valuable information about breed-specific concerns and common health issues. We truly appreciated his expertise and the care he showed our pup. Highly recommend! I wanted to share pictures from each stage of our pup's ear cropping journey to give others a clearer picture of the healing process. While it may seem intimidating or even a bit ugly at first, I think it’s important to highlight the progress and how great the final result can be. Ear cropping is definitely a "trust the process" procedure, but after seeing the care and expertise Dr. V provided, I would trust him with this procedure again without hesitation.

Dec 27, 2024 · MaKenzie PetersOne thing that stands out about this place is that staff always answers their phones and is always friendly and great at responding to emails and voicemails. I really appreciate that they ensure to maintain great communication. One other thing is that this is the only vet that sees small exotic animals in the area which is great for those of us who cannot drive far away to see an exotic vet. I also appreciate ample availability for appointments and flexibility in rescheduling appointments. Very accommodating office. I had a rat tumor removal on an elderly rat which was a risky procedure which I was unsure if she would survive. So far 24 hours later she is running around and happy as can be like nothing happened. And this was a huge invasive tumor on her belly. I’m impressed with the doctors precision and expertise to perform such a surgery on a tiny fragile animal. Update: Came back in for post surgery update and Deanne was very friendly and helpful and let me sit inside since I mentioned I did not have a car to wait in. I found this very considerate since it was freezing today. The doctor gave great post care advice and was very pleasant to speak to today. Love this vet, been here years ago at the Old Town location and glad to be back again years later.
May 26, 2023 · Vanessa L.TLDR; price gouging, unnecessary procedures, no face to face communication, lackluster care of my pet. I’ve been with this Vet Hospital for a year now. I have paid astronomical costs for unnecessary procedures on my rabbit. He was injured in March and I felt his healing was hindered by the lacking care he received. I spent thousands on medicine and so many visits and exams. when the vet did not initially shave the problem area to see the injury, a week went by and it got so much worse I thought he would lose his limb. Thus me having to go back and spend a stack on surgery. The stress my baby was under also slowed his healing, I’m sure. That was an absolute devastating and traumatic 3 month healing process for me and my rabbit. You only ever meet the vet techs. The doctor will not come out to talk directly to you and I really really do not like that. This animal is my child, my best friend. I would like a more direct and personal appointment with my vet so I can feel soothed and confident in my rabbits care moving forward. The quotes are… a double edged sword. I appreciate reviewing the information before hand but it’s a very tedious way of doing business. Can someone show me the documents on a business iPad, I review, sign or not sign, and I don’t have to bounce between email and phone calls just to get information when I’m literally sitting in the waiting area alone every time. My rabbit matters to me! And he should matter to my vet. The boarding process is inconsistent and unclear when my rabbit is ready to be picked up. Sometimes the communication would be very speedy then other times sparse and vague. Business qualms aside, mostly everyone there is friendly. I’ve encountered a couple of techs that made their ennui apparent. That doesn’t bother me personally but I can’t lie and say everyone there is friendly. The people who are nice are really nice so that does sort of balance out the less friendly techs. The vet is decently friendly but 🤷🏻♀️🤷🏻♀️ no data to conclude there. In summary, I sporadically go here for emergency needs since it’s close, so it’s not the worst place. But there’s definitely better care to be found with a longer drive
Nov 15, 2024 · Bri HurleyDr. Vyfhuis is very informative , and his staff is compassionate and kind. My chi-poo has been under Dr. Vyfhuis care since she was a puppy, and she's thriving!
Mar 22, 2024 · andrea rodriguezHorrible place they butchered my dogs ear crop!! They’ll take you money and treat your pet horribly, and not take responsibility for their action. Dr. V was suppose to crop my cane corso’s ears but he butchered them and gave me Grimlin, Bat, Gargoyle, dumbo ears .. I’ve added 2 picture after taking my puppy to a real vet and paying again to have them redone, This time professionally, I asked to get a partial refund. But got offended and DR. V said they were “perfect”. You can be the judge, the pictures don’t lie. Save your money and the headache, Drive the extra mile and go else where!!
