A Comfortable and Supervised Environment

The environment at Paws Inn Kennels & Pet Center is designed with your pet's comfort and safety as top priorities. While functioning as a "Pet Hospital" sub-category for boarding and care, their facilities are geared towards creating a home-away-from-home experience. The kennels for both dogs and cats are described as clean, comfortable, and temperature-controlled, ensuring a pleasant stay regardless of the weather. For dogs, this includes large indoor runs with blankets and bedding (for non-chewers) and access to a large fenced outdoor play area for exercise and socialization. They accommodate individual or group play sessions based on the dog's temperament. Cats enjoy complete cat boarding condos with windows and cozy places to curl up, creating a relaxing "cattery" environment.

A significant aspect of their environment is the encouragement for owners to bring familiar items from home, such as blankets, toys, or their pet's own food. This helps to reduce stress and make pets feel more at ease during their stay. The facility offers tours in the afternoons, allowing prospective clients to see the accommodations firsthand and address any concerns they may have. The presence of highly trained and attentive team members, alongside the direct proximity to a veterinary hospital, ensures that pets are under constant watchful eyes, providing an extra layer of security and care.

Comprehensive Services Beyond Boarding

Paws Inn Kennels & Pet Center, though primarily known for boarding, offers a range of complementary services designed to meet various pet care needs. Their offerings include:

  • Dog Boarding: This is a core service, providing secure, comfortable, and temperature-controlled indoor runs. Dogs receive personal attention, health monitoring, and three outdoor playtimes daily. They also accommodate feeding pets their own food and administering medications for an additional fee. Strict vaccination requirements (Rabies, Kennel Cough/Bordetella, Distemper-Parvo) and parasite-free status are enforced for all boarding dogs, and adult dogs must be spayed or neutered.
  • Cat Boarding: Cats are housed in dedicated condos designed for their comfort, complete with cozy spaces and windows. Staff ensure cats receive plenty of attention, stimulation, and socialization. Cats also have strict vaccination requirements to ensure the health of all feline guests.
  • Dog Daycare: While primarily a boarding facility, the structure of daily outdoor play and supervision suggests they also cater to daycare needs, where dogs can enjoy supervised play and interaction.
  • Pet Grooming: Paws Inn offers professional grooming services. This allows pet owners to have their pets pampered and cleaned during or after their stay, adding convenience.
  • Pet Supplies: The center also provides access to various pet supplies, likely including food, toys, and other essentials for convenience.
  • Special Needs Pet Accommodation: A critical feature is their ability to accommodate pets with special medical, physical, or emotional challenges. Their staff is trained to address these specific needs, and the proximity to the Animal Hospital of North Myrtle Beach means veterinarians are on-site for immediate oversight if medical emergencies arise. This provides immense reassurance for owners of pets requiring specialized care.
  • Veterinarian-Supervised Care: The most prominent feature, highlighted by its direct association with Animal Hospital of North Myrtle Beach, is the veterinarian-supervised aspect of their boarding services. This means that highly trained team members oversee the pets, and in case of any medical emergency, a doctor is just steps away, ready to provide immediate care.

Received incorrect information about boarding. No one was in the kennel when we arrived ( at the time specified for us to drop off our dog) took them approximately 3 hours to return our call. All was well when we picked up our dog, but the front desk personnel was very slow in checking us out plus I feel the price for a week boarding was much higher than it should have been. I can tell you that our dog has to go to the veterinarian because she now has a very predominant limp of her left leg. So much she can hardly walk. She had NO LIMP when she was dropped off. I WOULD NOT USE THIS FACILITY EVER AGAIN.

My name is Louie, a 5 month old Poochon. My mom, dad and my brother had a vacation in Myrtle Beach so I stayed at Paws Inn. I had a big room, the bed is very comfy, I don’t bark, just felt funny when I saw other doggy barking at each other. I couldn’t help laughing at one of them peeing on the floor, why not on the pee pad? I was wondering 🤭. Karen took care of me like her own kids, took me for walk, gave me a bath, even giving me a bite of chicken, yummy, my favorite! I was so happy of spending 3 nights at this caring home and missed Karen and Patsy so much! Love you all 🐕

I took my dog Chuck who is a labordoodle to Krystal for grooming. She did a fantastic job and I would highly recommend her. Staff was also super friendly.
