Dr. Timmerman is a holistic veterinarian. His focus on Nutritional Response Testing (NRT) is very effective. Gut health is 70% of a dog's immune system, and this method helps a dog to heal by focusing on the gut (eg rebalancing the microbiome with healthy bacteria, treating nutrient deficiencies with a well balanced diet and adding in supplementation if needed). Dr Timmerman also uses animal chiropractics and low level lazer therapy, which are both gentle ways that stimulate the body to heal. Prior to trying NRT, I did a lot of guesswork, which is expensive in both time and money. NRT has eliminated all of that guesswork so that I am able to test and know which foods and supplements work well for my dog. My dog is a Westie. This breed is notorious for both skin allergies and gut issues. My dog is no exception, but thanks to Dr. Timmerman those issues have been dramatically reduced. -No more vomiting yellow bile. -Toes still get inflamed (but not as bad as before) and I'm able to immediately treat and quickly stop the inflammation. (I use Candida Freedom to wash his feet. It's a probiotic shampoo.) -Still prone to ear infections, but since balancing his diet, the number of infections is significantly less. -Still prone to skin allergies, but the effect of the allergy is also much less, since I improved his diet. I've used 2 holistic veterinarians so far and both have focused on gut health. And I can confidently say that my dog's body is healthier now than when he was a pup.

Paws Health Wellness Introduce

Welcome to Paws Health Wellness, a distinctive Pet Hospital located at 307 Willow Run Rd, Aiken, SC 29801, USA. Led by Dr. Timmerman, this veterinary practice offers a holistic approach to animal health and wellness, focusing on alternative and complementary therapies to support the body's natural healing abilities. The enthusiastic testimonials from pet owners highlight the effectiveness of Dr. Timmerman's methods, particularly Nutritional Response Testing (NRT), in addressing various health issues in dogs and potentially other animals like cats and horses.

While the reviews do not provide specific details about the physical environment of Paws Health Wellness, the emphasis on holistic therapies suggests a calm and supportive setting conducive to healing. A Pet Hospital focused on gentle and non-invasive treatments like animal chiropractic and low-level laser therapy likely provides a comfortable and stress-free atmosphere for its patients. The focus on gut health and nutritional well-being might also imply a clinic that emphasizes education and owner involvement in creating a healthy lifestyle for their pets.

Paws Health Wellness offers a specialized range of services centered around holistic veterinary medicine. A primary feature is the use of Nutritional Response Testing (NRT), a diagnostic technique that Dr. Timmerman employs to assess a pet's nutritional status and identify underlying imbalances, particularly those related to gut health. According to a reviewer, Dr. Timmerman's focus on gut health, which constitutes 70% of a dog's immune system, is a cornerstone of his approach. NRT helps to pinpoint nutrient deficiencies and guide dietary recommendations, including the rebalancing of the gut microbiome with healthy bacteria and the use of targeted supplementation when necessary. This method aims to address the root causes of health issues rather than just treating symptoms.

In addition to NRT and nutritional guidance, Paws Health Wellness offers other complementary therapies. Animal chiropractic is used as a gentle way to stimulate the body's natural healing processes by addressing musculoskeletal imbalances. Low-level laser therapy is another non-invasive treatment that can promote healing, reduce inflammation, and alleviate pain. These therapies, combined with the focus on gut health and nutrition, represent a comprehensive holistic approach to pet wellness.

A significant feature of Paws Health Wellness is Dr. Timmerman's expertise in holistic veterinary medicine and his commitment to finding the underlying causes of health problems. The testimonials highlight the effectiveness of his methods in addressing chronic issues like skin allergies and gut problems in a West Highland Terrier, a breed known for these predispositions. The positive outcomes reported include a cessation of vomiting yellow bile, a reduction in the severity and frequency of toe inflammation (managed with a probiotic shampoo), a significant decrease in ear infections, and a lessened impact of skin allergies, all attributed to dietary improvements guided by NRT.

The experience shared by one pet owner emphasizes the value of NRT in eliminating the guesswork often associated with managing complex health conditions. By being able to "test and know which foods and supplements work well" for their dog, the owner has saved both time and money while achieving significant improvements in their pet's health. The comparison to previous experiences with other holistic veterinarians further underscores the effectiveness of Dr. Timmerman's approach, leading the owner to confidently state that their dog is healthier now than when he was a puppy.

The reviews also suggest that Dr. Timmerman's holistic approach is not limited to dogs, with a mention of "life-changing" results for many dogs, cats, and horses. This indicates a broader application of his expertise across different animal species. The perspective offered is described as an "alternative perspective on health and wellness," suggesting a focus on natural and body-centered healing modalities.
