Paws and Perches Animal Hospital

Everyone was very kind it was my first time there. My little bird needed his nails trimmed and I wanted someone that knows what they are doing to do it. The vet came in and did a nice job and her assistant was sweet. I will take him back again.

I would just like to share an experience with local and "snowbird" pet owners. My fur babies and I have supported another veterinary hospital for about 15 years, through many changes because we were very loyal to our favorite Vet, Jennifer Waltman. After the clinic was sold to a corporation, our favorite left, as did many other team members who had served us. We found that they raised prices, reduced services and wanted to refer to "specialty" vets due to limited coverage in their practice. We found and followed Dr. Waltman from location to location and she recently turned up at "Paws and Perches." The clinic is clean and cozy, more hands on than high-tech, but most important, it felt like "home." The team is very caring and responsive and the resident veterinarian, Ashley Lab, is thorough, knowledgeable and compassionate. They are open 7 days a week and move their emergency patients to the top of the list. Two weeks ago, we had to make a tough decision with our Sissy and the entire staff showed support before and after she passed. Last week, our other 14 year old pup suffered a stroke and we were back again to Dr. Lab. We were worked in on Saturday morning and we have started a course of treatment that is working better that we could have hoped for! If you are looking for a local veterinarian, I would strongly endorse Dr. Lab and the entire team at Paws and Perches in Lake Wales.

Dr Ashley and her associates were excellent, very friendly and caring. 1st time here for a wellness check and nail cutting and I felt like my dog Henry was well taken care of . Highly recommend.

This was our first visit here . What impressed me most was how quickly the receptionist tried getting us in. Our piggie was itching and i thought she may have had something going on, turns out she was just fine. Apparently just likes to itch. We had both poppy and piggie checked out to be safe. The vet was informative and did a complete exam. I would go here again. Happy cavies !

When my sister brought her puppy in for a neutering they were not very friendly at all. They wouldn’t make eye contact with her and would not answer her questions. It seems like new customers are not as important as existing customers after viewing some of the other reviews. I had a bad experience here as well a few years ago with my kitten but we hoped they would be better this time. The price after my sisters visit was ridiculous and they did not explain why it was so expensive when asked. We are very disappointed and will not be coming back. Who goes in to get their small puppy neutered and spends over $700. It doesn’t make sense.
