My dog has been going here twice a week for the past few months after a scary incident when we discovered she has disc issues that caused her pain and hindered her mobility. I was really worried about her quality of life and her primary vet recommend trying out Paw Rehab. The team here has been amazing — not only have they helped her increase her strength and mobility, but they’ve also taught me so much about home care, exercises, and compression techniques we can continue between visits. PAW REHAB Pacific Animal Wellness Rehabilitation Center Introduce

Welcome to the introduction of PAW REHAB Pacific Animal Wellness Rehabilitation Center, a distinguished establishment within the Pet Hospital category dedicated to providing exceptional rehabilitation services for your beloved animal companions. Located at 14942 Ventura Blvd, Sherman Oaks, CA 91403, USA, PAW REHAB stands as a beacon of hope for pets facing mobility challenges, recovering from injuries or surgery, or simply in need of enhanced physical well-being. While physically situated in the United States, this detailed introduction aims to inform local users about the comprehensive services and philosophy that define PAW REHAB, should they be seeking similar high-quality care for their pets.

At its core, PAW REHAB Pacific Animal Wellness Rehabilitation Center operates as a specialized Pet Hospital, focusing primarily on the physical rehabilitation and wellness of animals. Unlike general veterinary practices that offer a broad spectrum of medical services, PAW REHAB's niche lies in restoring and improving the physical function and quality of life for pets through targeted therapies and exercises. This specialization allows them to develop a deep expertise in addressing musculoskeletal issues, neurological conditions, post-surgical recovery, and age-related mobility decline in animals.

While specific details about the facility's environment are not explicitly provided in the given information, it is reasonable to infer that PAW REHAB offers a comfortable and safe setting designed to facilitate healing and rehabilitation. A well-equipped rehabilitation center typically includes dedicated spaces for various therapies, such as therapeutic exercises, hydrotherapy (if available), manual therapy, and potentially modalities like laser therapy or electrical stimulation. The environment would be designed to be calming and reassuring for animals, minimizing stress and promoting cooperation during treatment sessions. One can envision a space with specialized equipment tailored to different animal sizes and needs, ensuring a safe and effective rehabilitation process.

The services offered at PAW REHAB Pacific Animal Wellness Rehabilitation Center are centered around the principles of physical therapy and rehabilitation for animals. Based on the provided customer reviews, key services include:

Individualized Assessment and Treatment Plans: Dr. Little, mentioned in one of the reviews, conducts thorough assessments to understand each animal's specific condition and needs. This assessment forms the basis of a tailored rehabilitation plan, which is crucial for achieving the best possible outcomes. The plans are not static and are adjusted as needed based on the animal's progress.

Therapeutic Exercises: These exercises are designed to improve strength, flexibility, balance, and coordination. They are a cornerstone of any rehabilitation program and are likely a significant component of the twice-weekly sessions mentioned in one review. These exercises are carefully chosen and guided by the rehabilitation team.

Manual Therapy: This encompasses hands-on techniques such as massage, stretching, and joint mobilization to address pain, stiffness, and muscle imbalances. These techniques can improve circulation, reduce muscle tension, and restore proper joint movement.

Home Care Education: A significant feature highlighted in the reviews is the emphasis on empowering pet owners to continue care at home. The team at PAW REHAB provides valuable education on home exercises and techniques, such as compression, which complements the in-clinic sessions and promotes ongoing improvement.

Post-Surgical Rehabilitation: For pets recovering from orthopedic or neurological surgeries, PAW REHAB likely offers specialized programs to aid in healing, restore function, and prevent complications. This may involve controlled exercises, pain management strategies, and gradual return to activity.

Management of Chronic Conditions: For pets with chronic conditions like disc issues or arthritis, rehabilitation can play a vital role in managing pain, improving mobility, and enhancing their quality of life. The long-term care and adjustments to treatment plans, as mentioned in the reviews, suggest expertise in this area.

Non-Surgical Alternatives: One of the customer reviews explicitly mentions avoiding knee surgery as a goal achieved through the therapy at PAW REHAB. This highlights the potential of rehabilitation as a non-invasive alternative for certain musculoskeletal conditions.

The features of PAW REHAB Pacific Animal Wellness Rehabilitation Center, as gleaned from the customer testimonials, point towards a patient-centric and highly effective approach:

Experienced and Compassionate Staff: The recurring praise for the team's professionalism, care, and compassion underscores a positive and supportive environment for both pets and their owners. Their ability to connect with the animals and understand their needs is crucial for successful rehabilitation.

Personalized Treatment Plans: The emphasis on individual assessments and tailored plans ensures that each pet receives the specific care they require, maximizing the potential for recovery and improvement.

Focus on Outcome: The positive results reported by pet owners, such as increased strength, improved mobility, higher energy levels, and pain reduction, demonstrate a strong commitment to achieving tangible improvements in their patients' well-being.

Emphasis on Education and Collaboration: By actively involving pet owners in the rehabilitation process through education on home care and exercises, PAW REHAB fosters a collaborative approach that extends beyond the clinic visits, leading to better long-term outcomes.

The staff here is so good with their furry clients! They are professional and care very much for the outcome of their clients. My big guy, who is 10, has done so well with his PT plan. He is getting stronger and his energy level is high. We avoided knee surgery which was our goal. Dr. Little provides a plan based on her assessment and makes any adjustments as needed. Seeking their help was the best decision I made for my angel.

Can’t say enough about PAW and their staff. We adopted a 8 week old handicapped puppy and brought him to PAW. The love and therapy given our fur baby has been amazing. Highly recommended for your pets needs.

So many red flags from this place. - They don't allow any clients in the room during your dogs PT sessions or the consult. - After your $400-ish consult they email about literally 50 pages of PDFs, but no rough outline of what the PT plan will be. I called for clarification and all they sent was a vague email about what exercises they may do. - After the consult, if the vet recommends 6 sessions for your pet, they all have to be paid for up front and are non-refundable, even though they told me on the phone that they are in fact refundable. The agreement they sent me stated otherwise. - They require your dog be on an outdated parasite medication to do hydrotherapy (as well as flea, tick, heartworm and up to date on vaccinations). My dog has IBD and can not take chewable parasite medication, so he was unable to do hydrotherapy which was the only reason I brought him to Paw Rehab. - I booked my dog's appointment 3 weeks in advance. I never heard any follow up from Paw Rehab. I called the day before his appointment, turns out he would not be allowed to do hydrotherapy as he can't take their required parasite medication. They never contacted me to ensure he was good to go for his appointment. They're now refusing to refund me for the consult even though they have such strict and unusual requirements for hydrotherapy that were not communicated to me until the day before his appointment. It is not common for PT places to require so much for hydrotherapy, especially an anti parasite medication. My vet told me my dog should not be on a parasite medication as it could cause an IBD flare up for him. They wasted my time, delaying my dog's care, and my money back their unusual policies and poor communication. I’m now paying another $350 for another PT consult at CARE where they allow clients in the room and dont require random parasite medications.

This has to be one of the greatest places I've ever brought my dog. Bruno is giant yellow Labrador who is around a hundred pounds and 13 and a half years old. Over the last 6 months or so he began to have some mobility issues with his back legs. I just wanted to make sure that he didn't have pain and really wanted him to be able to have better stability and to be able to comfortably move around. The therapy and care he's received at Paw Rehab has made such a difference you just wouldn't believe it. He's doing so well, I absolutely know this therapy has added so much to his quality of life, and probably has given me much more time with my dog than I would have had otherwise. Everyone there is just terrific. Super caring and very knowledgeable. Dr Bak really knows her stuff she explains things well to me and I trust her absolutely. And my dog is completely in love with his therapist Nancy. He sees Nancy and knows instantly she is there to help him and she takes such good care of him he is putty in her hands! They are very thorough in their examinations and rechecks of him and really take the time during his therapy to give him a good experience. The feeling at the facility is calm and serene, unlike other Veterinarian offices I have been to where it just feels like there's a constant emergency going on. My dog is so calm over there that he gladly drinks water or lays down to relax. At my regular vet he's way too nervous and pent-up to do either of those things. I would recommend Paw Rehab to anybody who has an animal who needs Special Care, because this is the place where they can get it. Special shout-out to Alyssa, Michelle, and Kiefa. And of course Nancy! They along with the rest of the staff are so wonderful, I thank them for taking such great care of my best buddy Bruno. From the bottom of my heart, both Bruno and I are wagging our tails! Love this place!
