Apr 12, 2025 · Teresa “Terry” Fowler-MeggittWe moved back to Frederick after being out of the county for two years. Yesterday we had an emergency with our dog and went to the only emergency vet we knew of. They actually literally had NO VET ON STAFF (an emergency vet!) So in desperation, we googled the next closest from that vet's parking lot and came on Partners. In a night of suck, it was the best thing that happened. They were a professional, polished, and top-of-the-line practice. They saw our dog immediately. And (this does not have a happy ending) while our dog was at the end of her life, they also were very direct about her prospects, gave us choices at every step, and in an act of compassion that I will never forget gave her a "charcuterie board" with all the *forbidden* foods that a dog normally can't have (potato chips, chocolate, and a donut), and even put her initials in spray cheese. While my poor Murphy dog was so ill that she had no interest in them, that act of kindness is something I'm never going to forget. I also won't forget that the vet was tearing up when he was talking to us, even though he'd only just met us. We are currently (for the first time in 23 years) without an animal companion. But I know if and when our next pet finds us, should we need emergency care, this is going to be our first choice. The compassion they showed us (as well as the professionalism when we first came in, very efficient triage and very efficient communication up to the prognosis) give me confidence that this wasn't a one-off.
Dec 28, 2024 · Emily Ann MeyerThis was the worst customer experience I have ever experienced. Warning-DO NOT BRING YOUR PETS HERE. We came for emergency service for our 5-month dog on 4/2/25 (she was having seizures). They suggested hospitalization, tests, xrays, etc. and a tech provided a price range between $3,187-$3,857. After a few rounds of negotiations, we opted for the basic treatment, bloodwork and medicines for about $480. The experience felt like a car dealership with the tech going back and forth with the doctor to try to upsell us on services instead of waiting the next day to see our regular vet . The vet never once came to support us. Unfortunately, the seizures did not subside and after further medical treatments w our regular vet, we had to put down our loving 5-month pup on 4/10. On the day of euthanasia, at this clinic, we interacted with 2 front office members of staff, 1 technician and 1 vet. I was there with my 10-year old daughter with a dying dog. Not once did any employee offer condolences or say we are sorry. There were no bedside manners. They asked me to pay right before they administered the final dosage of life-ending medications. This practice is absolutely horrible. Do not come here. Do not trust this organization with your pet's life.
Apr 10, 2025 · Rajeev GuptaI highly recommend them for both Emergency and Specialty care. I have 2 old dogs and been there for both services in the past year. It is THE place to go in the Frederick area. They are caring and although not inexpensive, they are conservative in their recommendations, not pushing for the most expensive options, but rather the pet’s quality of life is their primary concern.
Feb 19, 2025 · Carol FisherI am only giving one star due to how quickly they “diagnosed” my pet. In November I brought my 4 yr old cat in on a Sunday because she seemed very unwell and lethargic. She was admitted around 8-9am and by 1pm she was diagnosed with kidney disease. I was advised by the doctor that she would need 5 days of hospitalization costing 8-10k or consider euthanizing her. Of course I was devastated and initially opted for euthanasia at home. My bill was still $2000 for the few hours she was there. After taking her home I decided to schedule a appt with her normal vet as I did not believe it was her time to go. She was seen the next day and this Doctor gave me a full plan of treatment options to do at home which cost less than $300. It was not guaranteed to be a success but I was thankful that I was at least given a chance to save her. Within a few weeks she made an amazing recovery and I am grateful to still have her here today and filled with life! It saddens me to think that if I had went with the medical advice given to me by Dr. Worth at the emergency vet I would have unknowingly sent my girl to an early grave💔 This is my experience and I can only hope that no one else is forced to choose the rainbow bridge prematurely due to the outrageous treatment cost this facility charges.
