So with great sadness I have severed my relationship with Parkway. I gave her, being the owner, several opportunities to provide a solution which was a simple call to the pharmacy. As mentioned in my previous review, my 10 year old bulldog is on palliative care for a very aggressive tumor in her skull. She had been prescribed rx to keep her comfortable. I give her oxygen when necessary. Their veterinary authorized refills on her meds and committed to follow her, providing care during her final days. My last phone call was with one of their staff CONFIRMING THE MEDICATION had been called in to Costco. Great! Shortly thereafter, I received an email, that went out to all clients, stating the clinic would be closed for three 3 MONTHS!! They were remodeling. There would be no care available!! It did state that if urgent they could be communicated via email. That gave me some comfort. I was still frustrated that nobody had enough courtesy to tell me they would be closing for an extended amount of time. Move forward a few days. I went to pick prescriptions up from Costco and the prescription was missing. It's one of the essential meds that provides pain relief, helps anxiety and aids her respiratory.. All that was needed was a call to the pharmacy. It was an approved refill/prescription confirmed as being called in. I was annoyed, however, confident it could be resolved. I sent an email with the information and then the ridiculousness began. I was first told after a week of sending the email that they were aggressively trying to resolve the situation. Then crickets. I heard nothing. I sent out three additional emails, one to their sister company, requesting the owner contact me. That never happened. I received a response saying that they would not be able to satisfy my request and I would have to take my Gypsy in to another clinic. I am temporarily on disability and do not have the money to pay for an unnecessary appointment at a new clinic. Why cause her the stress to be seen for the refills. All that was needed was for them to take five minutes and call the prescriptions in. I don't think that's asking too much. I let them know I would be updating my review and that the last thing I wanted to do was post something negative. Dr. Henderson, who opened that clinic, was a GEN . It's unfortunate his daughter could not follow in suit. I am SO greatly saddened and disappointed. CURRENTLY I am searching for a vet for a new appointment with Gypsy. I have to put her through something that she shouldn't have to do. DO NOT GO TO THIS CLINIC. . Their only concern is monetary and they lack any care or empathy towards the animals under their watch. Bottom line is My BULLDOG IS ON PALLIATIVE CARE. I was depending on them to provide care during this time. Prescriptions were confirmed called in. Loving Hands (at home euthanasia)is on call for when she begins to digress . One of their employees neglected to phone it in as promised and confirmed. It is nonsensical that they refuse to do what is RIGHT! I had really hoped they had an urgency to remedy this situation but they didn't. They prefer to lay flat and do nothing . Shame on them! SHAME! Knowingly allowing a dog to suffer when having the power to correct their wrongdoing.

You can reach them by phone at (760) 743-0973 or via their mobile number, +1 760-743-0973. While specific details about the clinic's environment, such as the layout and ambiance of the waiting areas and examination rooms, are not explicitly provided in the given information, it is common for pet hospitals to strive for a clean, comfortable, and reassuring atmosphere for both pets and their owners. A well-maintained and hygienic environment is crucial in a veterinary setting to ensure the safety and well-being of all visiting animals and to facilitate effective medical care.

The services offered at Parkway Pet Clinic likely encompass a wide range of veterinary care to address various health needs of pets. Typically, a pet hospital provides routine check-ups and wellness examinations, which are essential for preventative care and early detection of potential health issues. Vaccinations, parasite prevention (such as flea, tick, and heartworm control), and nutritional counseling are also standard offerings aimed at maintaining your pet's overall health.

Beyond preventative care, Parkway Pet Clinic likely provides diagnostic services, which may include laboratory testing (blood work, urinalysis, fecal exams), imaging techniques (such as X-rays), and other procedures to help diagnose illnesses and injuries. Surgical services, ranging from routine procedures like spaying and neutering to more complex surgeries, are also commonly offered at pet hospitals. Dental care is another critical aspect of pet health, and Parkway Pet Clinic may provide services such as teeth cleaning, dental examinations, and treatment of dental diseases.

In times of illness or injury, having access to medical treatment is paramount. Parkway Pet Clinic is expected to offer medical services to address various health conditions, providing necessary care and treatment to help your pet recover. It is also possible that they offer specialized services or have veterinarians with particular areas of expertise. For specific details on the full scope of services available, it is advisable to contact the clinic directly.

Based on the provided customer reviews, there are varying perspectives on the services and care provided at Parkway Pet Clinic. One long-term customer of 11 years mentions positive experiences, highlighting good prices, occasional deals, and helpful and nice staff. They also note the availability of special low-cost clinics that Parkway Pet Clinic can refer clients to, suggesting a commitment to providing accessible care options.

However, another review expresses significant dissatisfaction and details a negative experience concerning the continuity of care for a pet undergoing palliative treatment. This review mentions a breakdown in communication regarding a temporary clinic closure for remodeling and a failure to ensure a critical prescription refill was processed. The reviewer expresses frustration over the perceived lack of empathy and the inconvenience caused during a sensitive time, ultimately leading to the severing of their relationship with the clinic. This feedback raises concerns about communication protocols, especially during periods of change, and the reliability of prescription management.

It is important to consider both positive and negative feedback when evaluating a service provider. The positive review suggests that many customers have had satisfactory experiences with Parkway Pet Clinic over an extended period, appreciating their pricing and staff. The negative review, while concerning, represents one individual's experience and highlights specific areas where improvements might be needed, particularly in communication and ensuring seamless care for pets with ongoing medical needs.

Promotional information is not explicitly provided in the given text. Typically, pet hospitals may offer introductory discounts for new clients, seasonal promotions on specific services (like dental cleaning or vaccinations), or wellness packages that bundle essential preventative care services at a reduced price. It is recommended to inquire directly with Parkway Pet Clinic about any current promotions or special offers that may be available.

In conclusion, Parkway Pet Clinic in Escondido, CA, aims to serve the local community by providing a range of veterinary services for pets. While one long-term customer speaks positively about their experiences with pricing and staff, another review details significant issues with communication and continuity of care during a critical time for their pet. Potential clients are encouraged to consider all available information and perhaps contact the clinic directly to discuss their specific needs and to gain a clearer understanding of their current operational status and service delivery.

I am a little late on posting this but I wanted to say thank you to parkway Clinic. I have been taking my cat here since she was a kitten. She is now 3 and a helion to deal with! Unfortunately I have to choose to sedate her to get stuff done because shes a nightmare! The vets and staff were so calm with the situation and were able to get everything done I needed for her to get caught up on vaccinations and other stuff. My cat got a little nauseated from sedation and I was concerned leaving but they gave her nausea injections that just didnt kick in, in time. The next day Janika (front desk) called me when they were off that day to ask if my cat was okay. Was very sweet! Thank you for all your help. Zoey is back to herself happy and playful(only around me). haha

I took my 5.5 month old puppy here to be spayed. The office is clean and all of the staff was nice & helpful. The cost for the procedure was less than half of what I was quoted at other veterinary offices. They didn’t try to upsell me on anything my puppy didn’t need. My puppy is doing great. I highly recommend this veterinary office! Thank you Parkway Pet Clinic!

I have been going to Parkway Pet Clinic for many years with both dogs and cats. They really care about their treatments and they NEVER order unnecessary expensive tests like I have encountered at other locations. I feel good about the care they provide and the costs they charge for those services. Highly recommended !!!
