Yeehaw! Our bunnies have spoken and the news is out! Coco Chanel and Marcelino are very grateful to be in your care! Dr. Knox has been our primary veterinarian since we moved up here in January, but we had already heard about her for years — vets from all over San Diego have consistently recommended her as the best exotic vet. Now that we’ve experienced her care firsthand, we completely understand why. She’s incredibly knowledgeable, compassionate, and thorough, always taking the time to explain everything clearly and making sure our rabbits feel safe and well cared for. Her calm, patient approach has made all the difference, especially during stressful moments. We also had a great experience with Dr. Nissan, who helped us over the phone during an urgent respiratory issue. Even though we hadn’t met her in person, she made sure we could get a last-minute appointment, and we’re so grateful for her quick action and kindness. This review is not meant to encourage you to book up all their appointments so that they’re too busy for us (haha!), but honestly, seeing Dr. Knox is an experience worth your while. We’re so thankful to have found a veterinary team we can trust with our rabbits’ health and well-being.

Apr 28, 2025 · Saliha FerozeWe love Palomar Animal Hospital for our two bunnies. When you have bunnies it is important to go to a vet that has experience and understands them because they are considered exotic pets. We have seen two of the vets (Dr Knox and Dr Nissen) there for several years and couldn’t be happier. Hank and Dorothy are very skittish buns who hate leaving the house. PAH is always quick, efficient, and kind with their care. It has always been easy making appointments but they also have an online scheduling feature which is amazingly convenient. Also, shout-out to the staff who are welcoming, patient, and knowledgeable :)
Mar 15, 2025 · Erin DaddioI’ve been taking Bleu to Palomar since I adopted him 7yrs ago. The vets are amazing and take great care of Bleu. It’s all of the vet techs and staff that keep us coming back. Sonia is a favorite. Everyone is the best.
Apr 07, 2025 · SparksKind staff and attentive doctors. Pricing is more affordable than our last vet.
May 13, 2025 · Britt AntoniwI have a rabbit, and at my last vet, I felt he was handled too roughly. After my first visit to Palomar Animal Hospital, I knew they were a major improvement. Theo was calm because the staff was gentle, knowledgeable, and kind. They even had a rabbit treat for him and gave me so much great care advice. He didn’t even react to his vaccination because of how well they handled him. Thanks to them, the vet won’t be a stressful experience for Theo anymore!
