Palm to Paws Introduce
For pet owners in Houston, TX, seeking a "Pet Hospital" that combines affordability with exceptional surgical skills and a deeply caring approach, Palm to Paws presents a compelling option. Located at 5860 Westward St, Houston, TX 77081, USA, Palm to Paws can be reached at (713) 981-6031 or via their mobile number, +1 713-981-6031. Based on heartfelt testimonials from satisfied customers, this clinic has demonstrated its ability to handle complex surgical cases with successful outcomes while also being sensitive to the financial constraints of pet owners.
While the reviews do not explicitly describe the physical environment of Palm to Paws in detail, the positive experiences shared suggest a functional and adequately equipped facility capable of performing surgical procedures. The emphasis on successful surgeries implies the presence of a dedicated surgical suite, anesthesia monitoring equipment, and necessary post-operative care facilities. One reviewer notes that the clinic is "small," which suggests a more intimate and perhaps less opulent setting compared to larger veterinary centers. However, the focus on the quality of care and successful outcomes indicates that their resources are effectively utilized to prioritize patient well-being.
The services at Palm to Paws clearly include specialized surgical procedures. One customer specifically sought their expertise for an "ovarian remnant surgery" for their cat, Lucky, a procedure described as "difficult" by another clinic that quoted a significantly higher price with no guarantees. Palm to Paws not only performed the surgery successfully but also at a "great cost," highlighting their affordability in complex cases. Another reviewer also sought surgical intervention for their cat, with initial quotes from other clinics ranging from $3.5K to $5K. Palm to Paws "worked with me and my financial struggle," ultimately providing the necessary surgery at a much more reasonable price. These experiences underscore a significant service offering: high-quality surgical care, including complex procedures, at a more accessible cost than many other veterinary facilities in the area.
Beyond surgical expertise, Palm to Paws also provides essential follow-up care and demonstrates a strong commitment to their patients' well-being. The second reviewer mentioned that when their cat "accidentally cut himself during the healing stage," Palm to Paws "worked with me to get him in to have it repaired," further emphasizing their responsiveness and dedication to their patients even after the initial procedure. This suggests that their services extend to post-operative care and addressing any complications that may arise.
A defining feature of Palm to Paws, consistently praised in the reviews, is their staff. They are described as "amazing" and "EXTREMELY attentive and caring." The willingness of the staff and doctor to go "above and beyond to answer your questions, even when I called so many times with new questions," speaks volumes about their commitment to client communication and support. This level of attentiveness and patience is crucial in building trust and ensuring that pet owners feel informed and comfortable with the care their animals are receiving. The positive experiences shared directly contradict any "bad reviews" that one customer initially read, suggesting that the positive aspects of their service significantly outweigh any potential negative experiences.

Mar 11, 2025 · cathy briskyAbsolutely love this clinic and trust them. I read some of the bad reviews and was a bit skeptical, but all the good reviews shined and I went ahead and took my cat to Palm to Paws. The surgery was going to cost anywhere from $3.5K to $5K at all other clinics, but Palm to Paws worked with me and my financial struggle. They even helped me when my cat accidently cut himself during the healing atage, and worked with me to get him in to have it repaired. The staff and doctor are EXTREMELY attentive and caring. They go above and beyond to answer your questions, even when I called so many times with new questions. This clinic is affordable and small, but they work hard to help their patients. Thank you again!
Dec 03, 2024 · Jocelyn GomezUPDATE!!! 9/25/2024 I called the office at 12:46pm on Saturday, September 21st asking if they took walk-ins. The woman who answered stated they do but it was too late for the day and asked what was wrong. I informed her my dog fell through a window and I noticed him limping when he finally decided to get up to go out and relieve himself. I checked his paws and saw one looks a little inflamed I didn’t see any glass but it may also be in his paw pad. She agreed and stated I could take him elsewhere or bring him into the office on Tuesday since they were closed Sunday and Monday, I told her I was satisfied with their service and he’s familiar with them, going elsewhere would require too much, we will wait it out. I informed her I would keep him comfortable, not let him walk only to eat and relieve himself and soak it in warm soapy water, she said that was good, see you Tuesday. Tuesday morning, I get some work done, put my hours in to leave early and drive an hour away to the office only to be told, “I’m sorry but we can’t we Uno today, the person you spoke with didn’t put any notes in his chart”. Now is that my fault or theirs? I have a 100+lb dog with glass in his paw and you’re telling me you can’t see him AFTER I told you I was told to come in on Tuesday and you have the audacity to send me on Bissonet wherever the hell that is and I have no medical records or nothing else on me for him to see a new vet right then and there?!?!? What in the entire f..?!?!? Will I return? Your guess is as good as mine..🤬 #changingthosestarsfrom5to3 THE BEST!!!! After visiting another animal hospital I was referred here, my family tried to talk me out of going this far but they should’ve known I’d go to the moon for my pup. The staff and physician were all patient, very hands on, and amazing. My pup was initially evaluated 3/2024, for a lipoma that I noticed 2/2024 & his vet said it was small it could stay unless it bothered “me”. After relocating to Houston 3/2024, the lipoma began to grow and became more noticeable that it had enlarged some around early June. I took my time searching for a vet because I didn’t know anyone and it was difficult trusting someone new when he can’t speak for himself. Visiting Palm To Paws on 8/16 immediately brought my mind to ease, I knew this would be our future home for veterinary services. My baby was evaluated and we were given a surgery date immediately, unlike… The days leading up to surgery and the day of surgery everything that could go wrong went wrong. I had a possible broken toe😬, I had an appt the same time my pup had to be at the vet for surgery so I got dropped off and walked to my appt🤷🏽♀️ which helped me mentally because I had become worried with fear the closer his surgery date came. Immediately following my appt I logged onto the hospitals site to see his progress and burst into tears, I’d never seen him so “still”. I reloaded the picture and saw the size of the lipoma and that’s when I knew I’d done the right thing. I cried even harder because the hard part was over, the lipoma was out. I waited until it was time to pick him up and upon arrival, I was early, I was given all of the instructions needed to help him fully recover. The next morning I received a text asking how he was doing and I chatted back, that helped me because he has a minor setback and at this point I’d been awake over 24hrs one of us needed sleep. From that moment on and even when the office called later and I spoke with the physician, I was over the moon elated with my decision to go with them. I love them and appreciate all they did not just for my Uno, but for all of the fur babies!! Thank you!! #UnosMommy
Sep 26, 2024 · LaTanya LucasWe recently became acquainted with Palm to Paws through helping some abandoned puppies get their shots and other care, including spaying at 9 months. This is one of the kindest, most compassionate veterinarian offices you will ever encounter. From the front desk staff to the doctors, you can tell immediately how much everyone cares about the animals they are treating. Some of the care for these puppies got complicated, but PxP patiently unraveled what was needed for each dog. The prices are fantastic, and at the same time, they are providing exceptional service and quality. Highly recommended!
Mar 13, 2024 · Goldie FrostMy cat Molly, had some infected teeth and was in need of tooth extraction and teeth cleaning. The quote from the vet by my house was $1000. Palm to Paws was able to squeeze her in, get her comfortable and do the density work she needed for $710. The cleaning and teeth extraction was $600. The extra $100 was for pain meds and antibiotics before the surgery. Molly is doing great. I am so grateful for their compassion, kindness and skill. Thanks Palm to Paws staff!
