Brought my dog in to Paducah Vet Clinic today for a nail trim and to have the doctor look at some itchy bumps that my dog has on his back and hind legs. First of all, the assistant, April is her name I believe, was and is ALWAYS very rude and hateful towards my dog. She took him by his leash and almost drug him in the examination room saying "come on little monster! Get in the room" with me right behind her as if I couldn't hear her!! I was FURIOUS!! She may have thought that was funny or cute but I sure didn't!! When Dr. Everett came in, he didn't even so much as glance at my dog on the table! No greeting, no nothing! He darted straight for his computer. Didn't even ask me why we were there! I preceeded to tell him about the bumps and told him my dog was biting at his hind end area quite alot. He didn't even look at the bumps! He preceeded to cut his nails and drain his anal glands without a word to me regarding my dog! I asked him to give my dog an allergy shot. He refused! He said maybe next visit he'd give him an allergy shot. He acted like he was in a hurry and I felt very rushed. Definitely NOT a thorough exam at all (as usual) and acted like he couldn't care less about the most important reason I had brought my dog in for! Not professional at all! My dog and I have gotten this same treatment every time weve been there! April comes back in after the "so called exam" on my dog and yells at my dog for barking! Really?!?!? I've given this place SEVERAL chances to treat my dog thoroughly and professionally and it never happens! Today was the last straw! Won't be back!! Now I know why their prices are low! You get what you pay for at this place which is nothing!

Welcome to Paducah Veterinary Clinic
Paducah Veterinary Clinic, located at 3205 Central Ave, Paducah, KY 42001, USA, serves as a local option for pet owners seeking veterinary care in the Paducah area. The clinic can be reached by phone at (270) 443-8835 or mobile phone at +1 270-443-8835. As a 'Pet Hospital' category platform, Paducah Veterinary Clinic aims to provide various services and goods related to animal health and well-being.
When considering any veterinary clinic, understanding the environment, range of services, distinguishing features, and any available promotions is crucial for pet owners. An objective overview, drawing from publicly available information and customer feedback, can help local users make informed decisions about their pet's healthcare needs.
Regarding the environment, a veterinary clinic's atmosphere plays a significant role in both the pet's and owner's comfort. While specific details about the interior aesthetics or waiting room setup of Paducah Veterinary Clinic are not widely disseminated, one can infer that like most pet hospitals, it likely provides examination rooms, a waiting area, and possibly surgical or treatment areas. The overall cleanliness and organization of such facilities are paramount to providing a safe and effective healthcare environment for animals. For local users, the clinic's location on Central Ave suggests accessibility within Paducah, which can be a key factor for pet owners in emergency situations or for routine visits.
In terms of services, a typical pet hospital like Paducah Veterinary Clinic would generally offer a foundational set of veterinary care options. These commonly include routine check-ups, vaccinations, parasite prevention and control, basic diagnostic services (such as blood work and urinalysis), minor surgical procedures, and dental care. They would also typically provide guidance on pet nutrition, behavior, and general wellness. Given its classification as a "Pet Hospital," it is reasonable to expect that Paducah Veterinary Clinic handles a variety of common pet health issues, from preventative medicine to the diagnosis and treatment of illnesses and injuries. Some clinics also offer boarding services, grooming, or specialized dietary products for sale, although the specific availability of these at Paducah Veterinary Clinic would need to be confirmed directly with the clinic.
The features that differentiate one veterinary clinic from another often lie in their approach to patient care, the specific expertise of their veterinarians, and their customer service. For local pet owners, understanding these features helps in selecting a clinic that aligns with their values and expectations. A key feature for any pet hospital is the compassionate and professional interaction between staff, veterinarians, and both the pets and their owners. Effective communication about a pet's condition, treatment options, and costs is also a highly valued feature.
Based on customer reviews, some experiences at Paducah Veterinary Clinic highlight areas that potential users should consider. One customer described an assistant, April, as "ALWAYS very rude and hateful" towards their dog, using phrases like "come on little monster! Get in the room." This suggests a potential issue with the initial interaction upon arrival. The same review mentioned Dr. Everett not even glancing at the dog, darting straight for the computer, and not asking why they were there. The customer also noted that the doctor proceeded with a nail trim and anal gland drainage without discussion, and refused an allergy shot request for the current visit, promising it for "next visit." This feedback points to concerns about the thoroughness of examinations, communication from the veterinarian, and a feeling of being rushed. The customer expressed feeling that the service was "NOT a thorough exam at all (as usual)" and that the doctor "acted like he couldn't care less." Another review echoed similar sentiments, stating that for one dog, the vet was "extremely kind," performing a cystocentesis for urine and taking temperature, providing "relief." However, for another dog on a different visit, the temperature wasn't taken, the infected back paw wasn't examined, and a urine request via cystocentesis was refused with the vet acting "hateful and clearly aggravated." This review also mentioned the vet "arrogantly" confronting the customer when they stated they were taking their dogs elsewhere. These reviews collectively suggest inconsistencies in the level of care and customer service provided, with some experiences being positive and others raising significant concerns about professional conduct, thoroughness of examination, and communication.
Regarding promotional information, specific details about ongoing discounts, first-time client offers, or loyalty programs for Paducah Veterinary Clinic are not readily available through the provided information. However, some customer feedback indicated that prices at Paducah Veterinary Clinic might be considered low by some, with one reviewer stating, "Now I know why their prices are low! You get what you pay for at this place which is nothing!" This suggests that the clinic may position itself as a more affordable option for veterinary care, which for some pet owners could be a significant draw. However, it's important for potential clients to weigh cost against the perceived quality and thoroughness of care, as highlighted by the varied customer experiences.
In summary, Paducah Veterinary Clinic operates as a local pet hospital in Paducah, KY, offering standard veterinary services. While its accessibility and potential affordability may appeal to some, prospective clients should consider the feedback regarding customer service and consistency of care. As with any healthcare provider, it is often advisable for pet owners to visit the clinic, ask questions, and potentially schedule a preliminary consultation to assess if the environment and approach align with their expectations for their beloved pets' health and well-being.

Jan 16, 2025 · ValerieWhen I took my little dog in last Saturday the vet was extremely kind and I asked for a urine and they had to get his urine by way of ctosysis even took his temperature and I left with relief but today i.took my other dog in and his temp didn't get taken he wouldn't even look at his infected back paw also I requested a urine and he wouldn't do ctynosis on my dog to get his urine at all and was hateful and clearly aggravated so I was paying ( which I shouldn't have had to one dime )! anyway I told the girl when I was paying to take my dogs out of the computer that I was going to take them somewhere else and I was being very polite and the vet overheard what I said and he arrogantly came around the corner to ask me what the problem was and proceeded to say I did everything that you asked me to do and no he didn't either like I said he was extremely rude he didn't take his temp he didn't even look as his busted open paw or get his urine those are facts my cousin was a witness to all of it! At least I can go to sleep at night knowing that I know right from wrong. I deserve my money back PERIOD because my dog WAS NOT GIVEN AN EXAM I SHOULD CALL A VERY GOOD FRIEND OF MINE AND TAKE HIM TO CIVIL COURT AND GET THE 42 DOLLARS BACK! A person takes thier dogs to the vet when they are sick and not one damn thing was done for my DOG!
Nov 02, 2024 · K CrawfordHad two different difficulties with elderly dogs and Dr. Everett was full of professional ism, very experienced, and extremely compassionate! This clinic is excellent! He is a private practice so you know you will see him when you need him, not different doctors each time you return. They usually fit you in pretty quickly. We call ahead as much as possible. Dr. Everet has kept his prices ,on purpose, very reasonable! You won't regret taking your pets here.
Feb 07, 2024 · BeverlyI have gone to this clinic since I adopted my first dog, and my husband has been coming for at least 20 years. Dr. Everett is fantastic with all of our pets, even our fussy old cat. The staff are all friendly and obviously care a lot about the animals they work with. All my dogs LOVE doctors visits as a result. We have only been recommended great products and they never tried to sell us anything we didn't need, which has kept our vet bills very reasonable. I wouldn't go anywhere else!
Nov 30, 2023 · Sarah WeekesI found this clinic on line. I had a dog that needed attention before the weekend. It was a Friday around 4 pm. They told me if I could get there by 4:15 that they could get me in. The vet was super friendly. He was gentle and treated the dog like he was a person. The staff was so friendly, too. They all had smiled on their faces and were ready to assist in any question I had. I have found my new veterinarian clinic. ❤️
