Pacific CARE Pet Emergency was incredible in a time of crisis. One of my dogs had eaten as sock which was stuck in his small intestine and he had to have emergency after-hours surgery. I was referred to Pacific CARE by a different hospital and was told that the surgeon, nurse, and anesthesiologist were all made aware of the situation before I took him to the Pacific Care facility, and all came in for the surgery after-hours late on a saturday night. The surgeon and staff kept me aware of what was going on before, during, and after surgery, and called throughout his stay to give consistent progress updates and pictures. The care that my dog received was top shelf and I don't think I would still have my dog with me if not for the amazing, compassionate, knowledgable team that worked on him. I can not thank the pacific care team enough for saving my baby's life. They did absolutely everything they could to give her the best care as well as be sensitive to myself during the scary time. Sapah is now recovering from her surgery but is starting to act like her happy, goofy self again.

I really want to say this Emergency Room helped me out so much and to the best of their ability. I really loved how the doctor explained everything in detail that was going on with my cat. I loved how kind and patient even the nurses and assistants were with me. I am a college student who was struggling to pay for the cost, but I loved how both the doctor and nurses were helping me bring the price down by providing alternatives that will still help my cat. The next day I was concerned about my cat still bleeding a little bit and I called the hospital. I really appreciated the help the doctors and nurses provided over the phone by reassuring me he was okay. I also liked how they told me to not hesitate to call back if it gets worse. I truly saw my cat get better in 2 days. His mood changed so much. It was 8pm when I took my cat and came out at 2 am, but I liked how the nurses and doctor reassured me he was going to be okay and go home to get some rest. Overall, my experience was very good.

I took my dog Larson there as she had trouble going to restroom. From the first person I met until I was able to check her out and get her back home, I thought I was getting the best diagnosis, advice and treatment plans as well as timely updates. They accommodated me visiting her throughout her stay. I cannot recommend higher. I am very thankful to the whole staff for having Larson back home.

My dog displayed signs of feeling unwell for a few days. We thought she had just eaten a foreign object because she likes to steal people’s socks, has been caught with toilet paper rolls and paper towels, envelopes, that kind of thing. Long story short we had to take her to Pacific Care pet emergency. We were there waiting all night even though we were the only people in the lobby. The visit took about 2 hours longer than it had to, not because the doctor was slow but because no one would collect our paperwork and come back to give us the information we needed. She was diagnosed with pyometra. We caught it in time for her to be operated the next day but if she did not have the surgery the next day, she would likely pass. We were quoted over $11k for the surgery. I declined because her regular doctor had given me a quote for a fraction of that price but I was treated as though I did not care about the well being of my dog. With the help of friends and family we all made some calls to other places and paid less than $1k the next day for the same procedure with an excellent doctor and clinic. I don’t post negative reviews often because we are business owners too and I’d like to think we are all doing our best but I decided to make this post for others to be aware of because it might mean the difference between life and death for their pet.
