Oz Animal Hospital Sauganash

Beautiful, welcoming facility! My pups have been long-time patients at the Oz Animal Hospital in Rogers Park, near where we live--but I wanted to get one of my pups in quickly, and this new location had more availability--and it's only about a 20-minute drive for me. The facility is gorgeous--with more rooms and amenities (they had juice, water, coffee, cookies, etc. and lots of seating areas), and the staff is so friendly. I recognized both the receptionist and the vet tech from the Rogers Park location, so I felt right at home. I hadn't met Dr. Sam Smith before, but he was kind, thorough, and knowledgeable. I felt like my pup and I were treated with respect and care. Overall, it was just a great experience. I'll probably continue with the Rogers Park location as my primary spot, due to proximity--but I'll be happy to come here again if they're booked.

I've been a patron of Oz for 10 years, and I have to say, this new location is very impressive! Dr. Maione and her staff are kind, friendly, and knowledgable, going above and beyond to find solutions for any ailment. I recommend Oz to anyone with a pet looking for a vet and I urge everyone, new and current patients, to check out their new Sauganash location!

Older male doctor hardly examined my dog, tried to sell me on allergy testing while i kept saying no(he is already on an HP food which i said; his skin is in the process of healing and i’m working on it with my other vet), gave us eyedrops that had a steroid while my dog had an ulcer in his eye which significantly worsened the ulcer(dr did not do an eye stain or even make sure there was no ulcer present). I’m sure the other vets are wonderful but i did not feel like the man i saw was there to help, just felt like a money grab.
