My dog was very sick, she had eaten into her lipoma and was slowly dying from it, I called all over trying to get an appointment and either most places were booked out until February or even September, or they weren't accepting new patients... I finally found oxford veterinary hospital and they were so accommodating and friendly. I had to wait till after Christmas, but once I was in for the exam, they decided to do the surgery right then and there!! I was very happy with their service, care and price wasn't an arm and a leg! Thank you all so much for giving my old lady pup a few more good years with me 💕

While a detailed visual description of the interior is not provided, the operational aspect indicates an environment capable of handling complex medical cases, including immediate surgical needs. Pet hospitals, by their nature, aim to create a clean, organized, and calming atmosphere for animal patients and their owners. This typically includes a welcoming reception area, well-equipped examination rooms, and specialized zones for advanced diagnostics, surgical procedures, and post-operative recovery or hospitalization. The ability to promptly schedule and even perform surgery "right then and there" for an ailing pet suggests an efficient and prepared facility, with a team ready to respond to critical situations. This responsiveness contributes significantly to a perceived supportive and reassuring environment for pet owners facing challenging circumstances.
Oxford Veterinary Hospital, as a full-service 'Pet Hospital', provides a **comprehensive range of services** under the expertise of veterinarians like Dr. Marc C. Reynolds. Based on common offerings for 'Pet Hospitals' and implied by the provided reviews, their services typically include:
General Wellness and Preventative Care: This includes routine physical examinations, tailored vaccination programs, and comprehensive parasite control (fleas, ticks, heartworm, intestinal parasites). These services are crucial for maintaining long-term pet health and preventing disease.
Advanced Diagnostic Services: To accurately diagnose various conditions, the hospital would be equipped with modern diagnostic tools such as in-house laboratory services for blood work, urinalysis, and fecal examinations. Imaging capabilities like digital radiography (X-rays) and potentially ultrasound would also be available for detailed internal assessments, as implied by the ability to diagnose internal issues like a lipoma.
Medical Treatment: Addressing a wide array of illnesses and conditions, from common infections to complex chronic diseases. This involves developing appropriate treatment plans, prescribing medications, and providing ongoing management.
Surgical Services: This is a prominent service, as highlighted by a client's experience with urgent lipoma surgery.
