Our Pet Vets - University Pet Hospital

I have always loved Dr. Deo and now Dr. Munoz. The staff is great as well. However, I took my 13 lb., 11 year old Vida to get his teeth cleaned today. The last time the cost was about $650. This time the estimate was $950!!! A $300 increase within one year! Really? And this was with no extractions. The staff kindly called corporate to see if they could moderate the price and they refused to do so. Their reasoning: my dog is a year older. SO, if I follow corporate reasoning, the price goes up every year of my dogs' life? So next year the cost is $1250? I hope their other prices haven't increased like that. I worry about going to Tijuana for a vet, but if prices have increased to this degree I may have to sadly do so.

Our recent experience at the University Pet Hospital on 2/5/2025 was nothing short of wonderful. From the minute we entered, we were warmly greeted by a super friendly staff member (whose name regrettably escapes me), setting a positive tone for the entire visit. Yes, personally I would decorate the front desk area more to make it warmer but that's just me, lol. Animal Technician Leila was particularly impressive. Her patience and expertise stood out as she attentively answered our numerous questions. Leila took extra time to ensure our cats felt comfortable, and her clear explanations made everything easy to understand. Her dedication and kindness were greatly appreciated. The veterinarian was equally outstanding. His calm demeanor put both our cats and us at ease. He addressed all our concerns without making us feel like we were asking too many questions. The care and attention our pets received were exceptional, and we never felt rushed or dismissed. The University Pet Hospital truly exceeded our expectations. The staff's professionalism, combined with a genuine love for animals, makes it a special place. If you’re looking for a pet hospital in your Neighborhood that treats your furry family members with kindness and expertise, look no further than the University Pet Hospital. I’ve definitely found a vet I can trust and rely on with the health of my cat. My cat was very sick and my scheduled appointment at another vet clinic apparently never existed. After calling around for last minute appointments, I found University pet hospital and they were able to squeeze me in that same day, about an hour later! Everyone- the vet techs, the front desk, the doctor, were all so nice and helpful, and the prices were very reasonable. Dr. Munoz was knowledgeable and immediately knew what was wrong with my cat and how to treat him. I am so thankful for the kindness you guys showed me that day and my cat is doing great now thanks to you ❤️

These folks are the best in the business! We had been taking our lil dog to these folks for over 10 years until his passing and we cant begin to thank them for the loving care and treatment they gave to beloved dog Scrappy. The level of care they provided our lil guy was nothing short of exceptional! Always spot on with testing, communication, dietary needs, and diagnosis for his many conditions over the years he was in your care. *Dr. Munoz you are such an amazing Doctor and a huge asset to the Veterinary Community! I brought in my pitty puppy, who doesn't get out much. So she was freaking out in the office. One of the vet techs offered to take her to the back while we waited to be seen. Which was great! Dr Muñoz was thorough and caring in his examination or our Corazon. They had the meds available on site. We are long time customers
