Oswego Animal Hospital

I have been bringing my cats here since moving to Oswego. Every doctor has been fabulous, caring and knowledgeable. From surgeries to check-ups, I've never had a bad experience. Appointments are very easy to make over the phone and prescriptions are always managed in a professional way. Thanks to Oswego Animal Hospital for always being there for our pets!

Updated 3/10/2025 I hate THIS PLACE. Tell me why, my Senior Chihuahua went for grooming and a senior blood panel and came home NOT WANTING TO EAT, Head was shaking and back right leg was shaking and could barely walk. Upon inspection, I didn't see any clipper burns (Which has happened at this place a few years ago from a different groomer). On advice from the doctor who did an exam of my dog during the grooming (Never even heard back from the Doctor on their assessment either but I did pay for it), they said to wait until Saturday morning and if he wasn't better to bring him in. I took him to the Plainfield Animal Hospital to find out that these people, caused physical harm to my dog and somehow pinching a nerve in his lower back on the right side. This Hospital use to be so great when the owner was there and was involved. Treatment was cared for a tailored to the specific dogs needs and now, it is like any other business focused on profits and constant over recommendations of vaccinations and treatments that are not needed. This happened this past Friday and here we are Monday 3/10/2025, My dog is still in pain, Won't eat without a appetite stimulant if he eats at all which the last time was on Saturday at 6PM. I should have trusted my gut on the way there that was telling me not to take him but I did anyway and now it has caused Physical Harm to my pet, not to mention the emotional harm it has caused him and us as his parents are beyond stressed and had to spend another $550 and 4 hours of our time because of the negligence of this facility which has caused us to lose sleep just to ensure he is comfortable and ok. Kristin was the groomer, this is the second time I have had an issue getting him groomed their by two different groomers. I have tried to give this place a chance but every year it's another issue and no consistency with this place which is why I imagine they cycle through so many Veterinarians. Find a difference place to take your bet if you really care about their well being. I am not the only one that has complained about how they take care of the animals.

I had to bring my dog in for euthanasia and the staff was incredibly sweet. Staff was crying with me and my husband when we had to bring in our baby boy. The set up for euthanasia was amazing. They had a bed big enough for me lay with my Great Pyrenees while he went in peace. I can't say enough good things about this place.

I've been taking my cat, Rainey Catrick, to OAH since I adopted him in May. They've been amazing with him. They've made everything from shots to neutering easy on my Rainey. I highly recommend them.

The staff at this hospital go above and beyond for their clients and their pets. The technicians, doctors, managers, receptionists, and especially kennel staff do an amazing job at making my pets and i feel comfortable. I am truly grateful for all the love, care, and attention they have given to my three dogs over the years- and couldn’t imagine taking my pups anywhere else!

Always good service at OAH. We recently went in for my dog Charlie’s flu shot and grooming. Alyssa is an awesome groomer! Our family & Charlie loves her!!

Updated 3/21/2025 I did leave a 1 star review after the grooming incident led to my dog having an Abscess Anal Gland which in turn, turned into not pooping for two days and led to an Enema which caused an inflamed Colon and bloody diarrhea for days and also dehydration-He stayed at the Plainfield Animal Hospital which cost $3500. On Friday I noticed he was dehydrated again so I brought him back to the Oswego Animal Hospital and spoke with Dr. Hall who had previously looked at my dog before. She provided him with fluids, anti nausea medication and Critical Nutrition by Purina. He started eating again and has been well hydrated and pooping normally for the most part again. I will only be taking him to see Dr. Hall. She is FANTASTIC and you can tell she really cares about the pet's that she see's.

Recently took our beloved dog Sophie there for a 2nd opinion. Dr Lubas did a complete work up on her, she took the time to explain everything to us & was very thorough. We will continue with this facility & this vet. The care & attention given Sophie was just wonderful!
