Dr. Battig has looked after our Banjo for one extensive surgery. He was on his way to dog heaven and she saved his life after an extremely difficult procedure. It’s been a year of him returning to a 14 year old puppy. Unfortunately he now needs another surgery. My trust in Dr. Battig to care for him again is unquestionable. She hasn’t given up and is determined to give him (and our family) more happy years with ole Banny. If your primary vet does simple dental work that’s fine. But for the real deal…consider this, it would be like having your primary care doctor perform surgery on your jaw. Smart people would get an opinion from a dentist or oral surgeon. Then they’d go with a specialist.

Welcome to Oregon Veterinary Dental Specialists

Oregon Veterinary Dental Specialists, located at 15800 SW Upper Boones Ferry Rd #300 in Lake Oswego, OR 97035, operates under the platform category of "Hospital," signifying its role in providing specialized veterinary care. This clinic focuses specifically on dental health for pets, offering services beyond routine dental work typically performed by general practice veterinarians.

Customer reviews highlight the expertise and dedication of the veterinarians at this facility. One reviewer recounted a life-saving, extensive surgery performed by Dr. Battig on their dog, Banjo, emphasizing her skill and determination. Their trust in Dr. Battig's ability to provide ongoing care for Banjo's subsequent dental needs remains "unquestionable." This testimonial underscores Dr. Battig's commitment to her patients and her ability to handle complex cases.

Another review emphasizes the importance of specialized dental care for pets. It draws an analogy to human healthcare, suggesting that while a primary care veterinarian might handle basic dental procedures, complex issues warrant the attention of a specialist, similar to consulting a dentist or oral surgeon for significant jaw problems. This perspective positions Oregon Veterinary Dental Specialists as the "real deal" for advanced pet dental needs.

A particularly detailed review describes the positive experience of a pet owner whose senior dog, Aurora, required the extraction of all her teeth due to severe dental issues referred by their primary vet. The owner expressed significant anxiety due to Aurora's age and previous negative reaction to anesthesia. However, they praised Dr. Bonner and the entire team for the smooth procedure and their responsive care throughout the recovery process. The improved quality of life for Aurora post-surgery was described as a "night and day difference," with the added bonus of a "cute little tongue blep." The reviewer expressed immense gratitude for the team's care and patience.

Based on these testimonials, Oregon Veterinary Dental Specialists appears to provide a high level of expertise in veterinary dentistry. Their services likely include complex dental surgeries, extractions, and management of severe dental conditions in pets. The environment seems to be one where both the animals' well-being and the owners' concerns are taken seriously. While specific promotional information is not available, the positive outcomes and the emphasis on specialized care suggest that pet owners facing significant dental challenges with their animals may find exceptional support and treatment at Oregon Veterinary Dental Specialists. When I adopted my pomchi Aurora from the shelter at 8 years old, her teeth were already in pretty bad shape. We tried to do what we could over time to salvage the situation but unfortunately some of her teeth abscessed and she was in consistent pain, so our vet referred us to ADC for extractions of all her teeth because they were concerned about the possibility of her jaw breaking during the procedure. I was a nervous WRECK about the entire situation, and anesthesia had left my pup pretty sick during her initial cleaning procedure. She was 10, almost 11 at the time of the surgery, so her age also made me super worried. Fortunately for us we had Dr. Bonner taking care of her! The procedure went as smoothly as it could’ve gone, and they were very responsive throughout the entire recovery process. We could not have asked for better care, and they had great patience with me and my ten thousand questions! My girl just turned 12 and her quality of life is one thousand times better. Night and day difference. Plus she has a cute little tongue blep now!! :) I cannot thank the team at ADC enough for taking such good care of Aurora and making the process as painless as possible for everyone.

I have nothing but great things to say about Dr. Otten and his staff! From the interactions with Bree up front who listened to the needs and concerns of my nervous pup and helped set us up for success. To Brian the assistant who was very gentle and kind working with my pup before, during and after surgery. You can tell how much they care about their patients and the work they do. We needed dental crown implants and Dr. Otten did beautiful work. Dr. Otten took the time to give a thorough explanation of his findings and update throughout. We will definitely come back here for any future needs!

I took my 14 year old dog here today for some teeth extractions and everyone we interacted with was so amazing and kind. We were both super nervous and now my old gal is home, resting, and on the mend! I couldn't be more grateful.

For specialty dental work for delicate dogs, we could not have received better service. Our 14 yo Pomeranian had all his remaining teeth removed in 2019. He came through like a champ and recovered quickly, as much because of the loving care he basked in as his own indomitable spirit. Thank you Animal Dental Clinic, our sassy little guy is 100% again!
