Welcome to Old Bridge Veterinary Clinic, a dedicated Pet Hospital located at 2400 County Rd 516 in Old Bridge, NJ 08857, USA. At Old Bridge Veterinary Clinic, the well-being of your beloved animals is the top priority. Based on the overwhelmingly positive testimonials from long-term and new clients alike, this clinic, under the guidance of Dr. Manuel (often referred to as Dr. Manny), is renowned for its compassionate, ethical, and genuinely caring approach to veterinary medicine. If you are seeking a veterinary practice where your pet's health comes first, and where honesty and transparency are paramount, Old Bridge Veterinary Clinic appears to be an exceptional choice for the local community.
While specific details about the physical environment of Old Bridge Veterinary Clinic are not extensively provided in the reviews, the consistent praise for Dr. Manuel and the staff suggests a welcoming and comfortable setting focused on patient care. You can likely expect a clean and well-maintained facility equipped to provide a range of veterinary services. A typical pet hospital includes examination rooms for consultations and treatments, potentially a surgical suite for various procedures, diagnostic imaging capabilities (such as X-ray), and possibly an in-house laboratory for efficient testing. The emphasis on Dr. Manuel's caring nature and the clinic's ethical approach implies an environment where both pets and their owners are treated with respect and empathy.
The reviews highlight several key features and services offered at Old Bridge Veterinary Clinic:
- Dr. Manuel's Exceptional Compassion and Care: Both reviews center around the exceptional qualities of Dr. Manuel. Clients consistently emphasize his genuine love for animals and his unwavering commitment to their well-being. He is described as truly amazing, with his top priority being the health of his patients, not financial gain. This deep compassion translates into a level of care that goes above and beyond typical veterinary practice.
- Ethical and Honest Approach to Treatment: Unlike some veterinary practices where unnecessary treatments might be pushed, Dr. Manuel is praised for his ethical approach. He takes the time to thoroughly explain all available treatment options to pet owners, ensuring they understand the situation fully. Importantly, he only recommends what he genuinely believes is in the best interest of the animal. This honesty and transparency build trust and allow owners to make informed decisions about their pet's care without feeling pressured.
- Thorough Explanations and Patient Communication: Dr. Manuel is commended for taking the time to explain medical issues and treatment options clearly and patiently. This ensures that pet owners are not only aware of what is happening with their animal's health but also feel comfortable and understood throughout the process. This dedication to clear communication is a hallmark of a trustworthy and caring veterinary practice.
- Focus on the Pet's Best Interest: The recurring theme in the reviews is that Dr. Manuel's primary concern is always the well-being of the animal. This guiding principle influences his recommendations and the care he provides. Clients feel confident that their pets are in the best possible hands when under his care, knowing that decisions are driven by what is truly best for the animal's health and comfort.
- Willingness to Provide Cost-Effective Solutions: One long-term client specifically mentions Dr. Manuel's willingness to provide medications directly if he has them available, saving the owner time and potentially money by avoiding immediate trips to a separate pharmacy. Furthermore, he is even noted to advise clients on where to obtain medications more affordably if he doesn't have them in stock. This level of consideration for the owner's financial situation is rare and speaks volumes about his genuine care and lack of focus on profit.
- Comprehensive Veterinary Services: While the reviews primarily focus on Dr. Manuel's personal qualities, as a functioning Pet Hospital, Old Bridge Veterinary Clinic likely offers a wide range of essential veterinary services, including:
- Wellness and Preventative Care: Routine check-ups, vaccinations, parasite control (for fleas, ticks, heartworms, and intestinal worms), and nutritional counseling to maintain your pet's health.
- Diagnostic Services: Utilizing tools and techniques to accurately diagnose illnesses and injuries, which may include in-house laboratory testing (blood work, urine analysis, fecal exams) and imaging (such as X-rays).
- Medical Treatments: Providing care for a variety of medical conditions through medication, therapy, and other appropriate interventions.
- Surgical Procedures: Offering surgical services ranging from routine procedures like spaying and neutering to more complex surgeries (the scope of surgical services may vary).
- Dental Care: Addressing your pet's oral health through examinations, teeth cleaning, and treatment of dental diseases.
- Emergency Care: Providing timely care for urgent medical situations (it is advisable to confirm the scope of their emergency services).
- Pharmacy Services: Dispensing prescribed medications for your pets, potentially with cost-saving considerations as mentioned in the reviews.
- Microchipping: Offering a permanent identification solution for your pet.
- Nutritional Counseling: Guidance on selecting the best diet for your pet's specific needs.
- End-of-Life Care: Providing compassionate support and services during difficult times.
- Loyal Clientele: The fact that one reviewer has been a client of "Dr. Manny" for over 10 years and travels a significant distance (45 minutes to 1 hour) to continue receiving his care speaks volumes about the level of trust and satisfaction he has cultivated within the community. This long-term loyalty is a strong indicator of consistent quality and exceptional service.

Feb 26, 2025 · Labrina SzymczakIt's hard to see these negative reviews, I've been going to Dr. Manny for over 10years. He has always shown care and compassion for my animals. Always letting me know if there is something he can't do he won't. If he has the medicines he'll give you those, that way you don't have to wait, or he will tell you where to get them cheaper, who does that. He's not there to make money, he does truly care about your fur babies. I live 45 - 1hr away and I will not go anywhere else.
Mar 06, 2025 · Margie FloresI am so glad I was referred here by 2 good friends! Dr Emanuel is very nice and excellent with my new puppy!
Apr 03, 2025 · Kathy CarragherTerrible service. We had an appointment, arrived on time, and then waited another hour for the service. The people at the reception are absolutely incompetent, they proved to me that the dog was a different color in their opinion, although in all the documents we have the appropriate color. When we got to the doctor's office after an hour, we were there for less than 5 minutes, the doctor's request was for a rabies vaccine, his assistant brought an unknown vaccine in a syringe, after we wanted to look at the ampoule, the date of manufacture, it was indicated that the vaccine is valid for 3 years, although we insisted on a 1-year vaccine, we talked about this when we made an appointment, when we came to the reception, and when we got directly to the doctor's office. The dog was not examined, the temperature was not measured, and we were not told if everything was fine, but they brought us the vaccine in a syringe. But they decided to do it their own way, when we once again emphasized that we needed a vaccine for 1 year, the doctor just got nervous, said he would not do it, his assistant poured the vaccine back into the ampoule and they both left the office, leaving us there. Although I didn't mind paying for the used vaccine. We were treated rudely. We do not recommend it. The doctor does not treat animals with care and love!!! At our request, they could have explained in a normal way, instead of freaking out and storming out of the office. The owners are responsible for the life and condition of my animal. So I don't care if they didn't like some of my additional questions about vaccination!!!!!
