So I left a review previously when I was so impressed with the care and cost when my Frenchie had a hematoma on her ear. I have one more experience I would like to share. My same little Frenchie Lucy whom we were told couldn’t get pregnant on her own without being artificially inseminated (by the breeder we bought her from) happened to get pregnant right after Hurricane Helene. The same hurricane forced us to move, and the place we moved to is 3 hours away (Buford). The vets around here are very expensive, and many don’t have same day appointments so we decided to take her back to Ogeechee for her xray to see how many babies she had. Again they had very fair prices and the kindness and efficiency here is unmatched they told me things to be aware of so I knew when she was in labor. I brought her home and took her temp daily. On the 3rd of December I took her temp she was 99.8 so we went and did some shopping came home around 4:30 and my dog had a water each bulging and she was clearly in labor. If you aren’t familiar with French bulldogs they need c sections most of the time and my pup was struggling with a puppy in her birth canal. At this time I knew I couldn’t make it to ogeechee for the c section they would be closed and need extra staff to help so I had to search around here near me for a vet. Everyone told me it would be an emergency and everywhere from 4-7 thousand dollars. This was beyond what I could possibly afford we have had two moves in less than 4 months and we are in a pretty bad financial situation at this time. Other vets with zero compassion would not take payments and basically told us good luck and hung up on us. One even suggested they could put her down. This is my baby with plenty of life left. I was desperate scared, and going out of mind. I was praying and I heard God say to me CALL OGEECHEE. I knew I couldn’t make it but I called anyways. Of course they were closed for small animals it would be an emergency but they wouldn’t have the staff and I’d still be after their after hours hours. So we knew our only option was going to be to put her down. I hung up terrified helpless nd feeling so alone. A few minutes passed and I had two missed calls from Ogeechee. I thought maybe they were calling with some at home advice and before I could call back they called a third time. The doctor spoke to me and said not to put her down to wait it out keep her calm and if she is ok in the morning be there at 8 am, the doctor had said to me “I don’t want money to be the reason you have to put her Down. If you’ve never felt a hug over the phone in a scary moment, that’s what that phone call felt like. To know someone even cared was enough to comfort me and I somehow knew Lucy was gonna be ok. At 3:30am on the 4th Lucy was sleeping and we loaded her in the car and drove the 3 hours to be there when they opened. They preformed the c section and unexpectedly there were still live babies in there. They gave me the bill and I can not tell you the details of it. All I can say is God touched the hearts of the drs. And gave us a miracle. I am forever using this vet and I don’t care how far I’m driving. They saved my dog. They truly cared about her. That’s who these people are, they are good caring folks who want your animal to be ok and who wouldn’t want to bring their animals to a dr that actually loves animals. I know this is a long review but some of these reviews talk bad about the staff and what not, but they are way off the mark. The front staff is usually two young girls who are cute and friendly. The dr. Is no nonsense straight to the point. And you just get the feeling they are like a family. Maybe it is a family. I don’t know but they operate very well together and get your pet in and out and do it with love.

A significant feature of Ogeechee Veterinary Associates PC, powerfully highlighted in one of the detailed customer testimonials, is the exceptional level of compassion, empathy, and dedication demonstrated by the veterinary team. The account of the French Bulldog's challenging pregnancy and subsequent emergency situation underscores a profound commitment to prioritizing the animal's well-being, even when faced with logistical difficulties and the owner's financial limitations. The veterinarian's proactive communication, unwavering support, and flexible approach in a critical moment showcase a genuine dedication to their patients that extends beyond standard professional obligations. This heartfelt care appears to be a core value deeply appreciated by at least one member of the local pet owner community.
However, it is crucial to present a balanced perspective by considering all available feedback. Another customer review describes a less satisfactory experience, citing concerns regarding prolonged waiting times, an unfortunate incident involving a biting cat in the waiting area that resulted in injury to a child, and a perceived lack of professionalism and empathy from the front desk staff. This review raises valid concerns about the efficiency of appointment management, the safety and comfort of the waiting environment, and the overall customer service experience. Potential clients should consider all perspectives when making decisions about their pet's care provider.
Considering the range of experiences shared in the online reviews, Ogeechee Veterinary Associates PC appears to be a Pet Hospital that is deeply committed to the well-being of animals and providing essential medical care, particularly in complex and critical situations. However, there may be areas for improvement in terms of administrative efficiency, ensuring a consistently positive experience in the waiting area, and maintaining a high standard of customer service across all interactions. The positive review strongly emphasizes the personal connection and the feeling of a caring, family-like environment, suggesting that the fundamental ethos of the practice is centered on animal welfare.
For local users in Louisville, GA, considering Ogeechee Veterinary Associates PC as their trusted Pet Hospital, the key takeaways from the available information include the potential for exceptionally compassionate and dedicated veterinary care, especially during challenging medical circumstances, alongside potential considerations regarding appointment wait times and front office management. We encourage you to directly contact Ogeechee Veterinary Associates PC at (478) 625-3021 to discuss your pet's specific healthcare needs and to inquire about their current practices concerning appointment scheduling, waiting room protocols, and the comprehensive range of services they offer. While specific promotional offers are not mentioned in the provided text, the positive review's mention of "very fair prices" suggests a potential benefit for cost-conscious pet owners in the local community seeking quality veterinary care.
In conclusion, Ogeechee Veterinary Associates PC, serving the Louisville, GA area as a Pet Hospital, offers a range of veterinary services. Online customer reviews present a spectrum of experiences, with a strong emphasis on compassionate and potentially life-saving care in critical situations contrasted by concerns regarding administrative efficiency and waiting room management. Dec 09, 2024 · Erica WilliamsI called and asked if they take walk ins… they said yes. I took my animal in at 8am. They said the vet wasn’t in but I could leave it and pick it up later. So I left the cat and told them I’d be back at 3pm. When I showed back up at 3pm they said my animal still hadn’t seen a vet. While waiting on them to get my pet from the back, my 4 year old daughter and I were petting the cat on the sofa in the wait room. The cat bit my daughter’s arm and left 2 puncture wounds. The 2 girls at the front desk were giggling as my daughter cried. Why would you have a cat on the waiting room sofa that bites? We got our sick pet and went home, still without being seen. Most unprofessional veterinarian’s office I’ve ever been to. I had planned on moving all of our business to this office since it’s closer to home. I wish I could leave zero stars.
Nov 13, 2024 · Jenny CollinsThis is an awesome veterinarian clinic. I have a large Working Line German Shepherd. At home she is all business at being very protective of me! But when we go for a visit she literally bolted away me (yeah, should have had the prong collar on her) when I opened the door. She was beside herself with joy and excitement. She scared a sweet little lady but was trying to lick her. I highly recommend Ogeechee Vet to all small pet owners, stock owners, horse owners. They always treat us with kindness. Please don't drive out of town. Give them a call instead and make your appointment. You won't regret that decision!!!
May 07, 2024 · Lee RinerI just moved to the area from Las Vegas I wish I had made this move years ago. Our vet in Vegas wouldn’t let us come say hi for the price I paid for my Frenchie to have surgery to drain a hematoma. The surgery, the meds, the vaccine I paid $225. Aside from very reasonable pricing (I’d pay anything for my babies) the staff is the sweetest. But I think it’s just the culture here because I haven’t met anyone that wasn’t kind and polite here. I will also add the office was very clean and had no pet odor. I 10/10 would recommend this vet.
Jul 22, 2024 · Erica WilliamsWhat a great vet!!! We are from out of town and my dog needed urgent care. I called and visited a couple other vets in a nearby city and they were quite busy (by no fault of theirs tho), so I called, spoke with a nice young lady at this office and told her what was wrong with my dog. She was unable to schedule me at that exact moment but would call me back when she had an answer. To my total surprise the vet himself called me back and got my dog right in! He got my dog fixed right up and out the door within 30 minutes! AND their price was GREAT!!!!! If ever I'm in need of a vet when we're visiting the area again, I will for SURE go to this office!!! Thank you ALL so much for everything!!
