Our dog in for teeth cleaning, xrays found many teeth needed to be extracted. Odenton Vet completed work, kept our dog at clinic overnight due to monitor health. Briefed at clinic by doctor and staff AM next day, great detail and exchange between Vet staff and doctor on follow ups, medications and our inquiries about owner expectations. Doctor called this AM inquiring about our dog and any questions we had. We were very satisfied with the feedback, phone calls and concerns we had about the care for our dog. Great teamwork from the vet team in caring for our dog.

Dr. Sinclair over prescribed my cat anti-anxiety medicine for having blood in her urine. My cat was fine, otherwise had no noticeable symptoms. 100mg of gabapentin for a 7lb cat every 12 hours led my cat to near death (symptoms arose that were never present prior: dragging of tail, dragging legs, inability to jump or climb, couldn’t sleep, couldn’t eat much, could barely walk). When confronted Dr Sinclair defended her actions and banned me from her practice. This DR carelessly prescribes medication and is petty. She banned me after i did nothing wrong but what was asked of me. I didn’t yell at her, nothing. After over three years of being a loyal patient, Dr Sinclair threw my 17 y/o cat out of her office at her most vulnerable state — while she is sick. Seriously a disgusting practice and awful DR. The staff is wonderful and i truly hope they enjoy their jobs and get the pay and benefits they so rightfully deserve. I only wish they had a better DR to champion around. Dr. Sinclair needs help. Someone who cares about animals doesn’t recklessly turn a cat away in their sick state after years of being a good patient. I never even got an apology from Sinclair, but i got one from every single other staff member i spoke with.

Horrible first time experience!!!!! HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!! I called in a month in advance to schedule my appointment. During this initial call the receptionist continuously tried to receive payment for the future service. But I continued to tell them no I’ll pay upon service and that I would be using my pet insurance. The day I came in for service, I was told to stay outside. I understand COVID is still happening HOWEVER we are not in the phase we’re we can enter buildings without mask on if you’ve been fully vaccinated with the COVID shot. Yes, I’ve been vaccinated. However, I was rudely told to go sit in my car and wait to be called on the phone for my appointment. After 30 minutes of waiting in my car as I was rudely instructed to do, I called them on the phone to express how I didn’t enjoy the recent interaction. I just couldnt understand why I needEd to wait in my car for my appointment and for such a long time for this scheduled appointment. I also expressed that my puppy was nee to me and that hed never been without me (we go EVERYWHERE together). I wasn’t sure how he’d be without me being there. So I asked if I could come in with my new puppy. The receptionist was again RUDE. She says to me, “ I will not be changing my rules for ANYONE! You can feel free to go to another vet.” By this point I was too thru with them. I finally was a bit rude and simply hung up on her while she was still attempting to spit out rude nonsense into my ear. And I did exactly what she suggested, I took my business elsewhere. I’ve already spent about $800s at Banfield over 3 visit already. Banfield’s staff is SO nice. The staff (this was in laure inside the Petsmart) walked me through the aisles to help me find different items for my fur baby. Even if they thought my mini Yorky was ugly (although he’s absolutely adorable, you never know someone may be disgusted by his adorableness 🤷🏾‍♀️). The staff behaved as if he was the cutes thing they’d ever seen and wanted to hold him and they were play fighting over holding him and blah blah blah. It was a great experience with them and it has been nothing but great each time I’ve gone for his visit. They even remember us each time we show up for his appointment. They also allowed me to come to my appointment when I was 30 minutes late and there was no judgement. I’m glad ODENTON VETERINARY HOSPITAL SUCKS because I wouldn’t have been forced to look elsewhere and find Banfield. Be advised the staff at Odenton Vet are RUDE! DON’T TAKE YOUR PETS THERE!!

Have been trying to get my Dogs medical records since 17 June 2024 to file a claim for an emergency surgery he had at a different hospital. They completely ignored the email from the pet insurance company for the medical records. To attempt to expedite the process I called at least 4 times between June and October. I also texted the number and have been told they have been sent to the doctor for approval and should be sent in a couple of days each time but never received anything. If you are in the military or a job that moves around frequently make sure to stay away from this place as you’ll never get your pets medical records.

I have been taking my boy, Jaxen, here for about 7 years and we have never had an unpleasant experience. All the doctors and techs are friendly and give my dog the best care! He recently had surgery and I was very comfortable knowing he was in their care.
