We are huge fans of Dr Alli. We had a few bad experiences at vets in the area and when we found Dr. Alli, we were just blown away how patient and kind she was. She did not make us feel rushed at all. She took time to listen to all of our concerns and address every one of them. She also prescribed a medication that fixed our dogs problem within two months, when the other vet wanted to do biopsies and charge us thousands of dollars to cut into him, completely unnecessarily. We are so grateful for the Oceanside Veterinary Hospital . Jasper Jones said to tell Dr Alli “WOOF WOOF”❤️🙏

Dr. Allison Doherty is the best! Excellent care for our 16yr old Chihuahua Chuck Norris led to a great experience with the new Chihuahua puppy Regina George. It has proved to be a night and day difference for a happier doggie household. Thank you so much Oceanside Veterinary Hospital.

I didn't get the chance to write a review initially because it had been too hard to talk about my dog's passing. But I feel it is essential to highlight Dr. Alli's role in her diagnosis, and care. About a year and half ago, I brought my dog in to see Dr. Alli for a cough. That same visit, she was able to identify my dog had a massively enlarged heart. She encouraged us to see a specialist as soon as possible. While ultimately my dog had late stage DCM, and only months left to live, I wholeheartedly believe Dr. Alli's diagnosis gave us not only hope but a fighting chance. Throughout my dog's treatment, Dr. Alli personally called me to check in on her progress, and once she had passed away, she called me personally again to check in and offer support. She is so full of kindness, and empathy, and treated my nervous, and fearful dog with so much compassion and respect. She is not just an amazing veterinarian, but she's an extraordinary human. We are bringing home a puppy soon, and I cannot wait to begin this puppy's journey with Dr. Alli's guidance and experience. I won't see anyone else in Oceanside! We love her and appreciate her SO much.

Don’t be fooled by their “follow-up” tactics designed to lure you back and inflate costs. Be cautious of hidden fees—the price they quote is NOT what you’ll pay due to numerous add-ons. Make sure to get every agreement in writing, as they’ll fiercely dispute verbal promises and refuse to own up to their mistakes no matter what. For instance, if they tell you to return for a second vaccine dose and a follow-up blood test with a technician, quoting a specific price, expect a much higher bill. They’ll claim a different test was quoted and tack on fees like technician charges, disposal fees, and even another exam fee—despite the exam being handled by an assistant 3 weeks after the first exam w the veterinarian??. They’ll also try to add more vaccines, one after another. This should have been communicated during the first visit w the doctor.. I was told the second vaccine dose was included in a package which I have already paid for, but that was NOT the case. They will gained up on you and argue with you until you give up. Even when I had the follow up blood test quote in writing, they only partially refunded me, blaming it was the wrong blood test was quoted, while still charging for the additional fees mentioned above. No apology was ever offered. Also, they limit flea medication to a six-month supply, forcing another visit for more blood tests with a technician. Will this be a repeat of the same cycle of surprise costs and arguments? After seeing the great reviews, I brought my third pet here, but I’ll never come back. It was a harsh ordeal for me—staff were disingenuous, fixated on profits, showing no genuine concern for you or your pet. Replying to the response: What’s the point of calling you to discuss? Didn’t we discussed enough? I remembered having the discussion with your staff including your office manager already. I also gave you time to before I write this review.

We've been taking our year old French Bulldog to Oside Vet for the last 10 months and while we are happy with the service received, the actual patient, Mookie, absolutely loves his visits. He sprints from our car to the door and doesn't stop wagging his butt until we are back in the car heading home. Only saw the Dr once at his initial visit and he was quite knowledgeable, especially about the breed. This includes everything from what to expect, a nutrition plan, etc. Front desk is always kind and welcoming as well as willing to work with you. Although that could simply be due to my pup being so dang cute! Great Spot for you and your pet!
