My dog was diagnosed with corneal ulcers and entropion in both eyes. Ocean Veterinary Optometry provided exceptional care throughout the process. They performed a complex surgery with precision, ensuring my dog’s health and preventing the need for additional procedures. From the front office staff to the veterinary team, everyone was incredibly kind, compassionate, and thorough, treating my dog with so much love and care. I can’t recommend them highly enough!

My dog, Torben is only 8, but had a cataract that had rather suddenly gotten worse and was affecting his vision so our regular vet referred us to Ocean Veterinary Opthalmology. The office is around an hour away from where we live, but our vet assured me they were worth the drive and recommended them over more local options. I'm so thankful for that! They were able to see my pup within two days of the referral, and surgery was scheduled four weeks later. The staff here is so kind! Everyone takes the time to explain exactly what they are doing and/or what needs to be done. The various techs we've seen, along with Dr. Mancuso, have been so gentle with my anxious 100lb boy. The estimates I was given were clear (for cataract removal) and because my pup was so anxious on his initial visit, the surgeon suggested scheduling the required "pre-cat surgery testing" and the surgery itself for the same day, instead of the typical several weeks later. The cataract removal surgery was yesterday, 6/24/2024, and Dr. Mancuso was fantastic about keeping me updated throughout the day. Their follow-up care is also great. An appointment was scheduled for the morning after surgery to make sure everything continued to look as it should, and we'll be going back in Friday for another check before the weekend. I really can't say enough good things about this practice and all of the staff we've come in contact with. No one wants to take their pet to a specialist. No one wants their pet to need one and the desire to pay for their specialized knowledge is pretty low on most people's bucket lists. But, knowing your pet is in skilled hands that really want to help them is absolutely worth it when it comes to their eyes. At least, it was to me and my lurcher, Torben. 💜 (I'm attaching a couple before photos as well as two from the last two days post-op 💜)

Absolutely wonderful ophthalmology practice!!!! Dr. Mancuso and her team were so knowledgeable and professional with our Mastiff, Emmaline. They are caring and Dr. Mancuso explained everything. Emmaline’s surgery went smoothly and Dr. Mancuso did an exceptional job and definitely cares!! I am so thankful we were referred to Ocean ophthalmology!! Have a great experience with the Ocean Veteinary Ophthalmology. My dog Teddy has severe reaction on the eye ointment prescribed by the regular vet. Unfortunately my old practice couldn't resolve the problem for over three weeks. I got a referral to Dr. Laura Mancuso. I could see the big changes happened right in a couple days after new treatment. Teddy's stollen, red eyes got better, no itching. Still continue his treatment, but I see a big improvement. The doctor is very knowledgeable, pleasant, caring, explains the process of treatment and healing. The office staff is very efficient and helpful. Thank you.

They were wonderful with my elderly dog! So welcoming and sweet and made a point to give tons of tasty treats so the procedures and tests wouldn’t be so traumatizing.
