Ocala Veterinary Hospital

I’ve had some wonderful veterinarians over the years, and recently a real stinker. I’m am so grateful I found Dr. Osborne and his staff. First class all the way. I know in my heart they have me and my pets’ best interest at heart from the moment I walk through those doors. I could not be more pleased with the staff, providers and the care my pets receive here.

These guys are the best! Dr. Hodges takes very good care of my cats and you can tell how passionate he is about it. I had to have one of my older cats euthanized a few months back and it was a heartbreaking experience but he did everything in his power to help my old man. The staff is excellent and always very detailed in my animals care.

I would love to give this clinic a better rating than 2 stars but because of the practice owner, I could not allow for this. He is constantly yelling at his staff, using foul language with no regard for privacy or who can hear. The wait times to be seen for things as small as a technician appointment are extremely long, and it is apparent that it is because the staff is stalled by the owner. The clinic does not seem to have a good flow of appointments, otherwise, the staff would not be standing around talking instead of watching people wait. It feels like a waste of time and unnecessary stress on pets - especially cats. The care that I got from the veterinarian who usually sees my pets, Dr. Spoon, is wonderful, and most of the technicians seem to be knowledgeable. Dr. Spoon is the reason I allowed for 2 stars. She is kind and knowledgeable, and the care she has with animals can be seen through and through. However, confidence in the other doctors is minimal. The owner "tries" to come off as caring, honest, and involved, but does not listen to his clients, or seem to trust his staff. In one of my appointments, he walked out because he felt my pet was going to bite him- which she was not. She just wanted to look at me. He will ask questions but will not allow a response before he cuts you off. The third doctor only sees cats, is not available more than a few times a week, and seems Ultimately, if it were not for the long wait times, and the disappointing practice owner, this would be a great place to bring your pets. My recommendation would be to see Dr. Spoon ONLY.

I was in Ocala visiting my sister, my cat had an allergic reaction and needed to see a vet. The entire staff is awesome, Dr. Osborne was able to see her the same day and took excellent care of her. If I lived here, Ocala Veterinary Hospital would definitely be where she would go to for all her care!

Dr. Holbrook came to our home and helped our little girl, IZadora cross over her Rainbow bridge. He was on time. He explained the procedure and walked us thru everything he would do to care for IZadora. He was very gentle, caring and respectful of us and our needs. He also handled the Cremation and transportation of the body to the Crematorium. We are very grateful and thankful for Dr. Holbrook has his services. Thank you Dr. Holbrook.
