Finding a new vet in the area was super important to me, as I want to make sure my girl is in the best care. I have a 1.5yr old lab mix who is generally healthy, but I wanted to make sure I found somewhere I know would get her in if she was sick/having an emergency. The people at the front desk were very kind and welcoming! As a new patient, they helped me through the "intake" process of filling things out and making sure they had her records. The office itself, as well as the grounds, were very clean and well kept. I saw a lot of reviews of people talking about high prices, so I honestly figured I would be going in and spending a ton of money. That was not the case! I would say that Norwichtown vet is very well priced, especially compared to other places. My girl got 5 vaccinations, microchipped, stool test, and the exam and it was not nearly as much as I expected it to be. And they gave me a complimentary flea/tick/heartworm prevention for one month as well. I am very impressed and happy with my decision to bring my girl here! Wait times to get in as a new patient were not long either. I believe I booked about two weeks out, which is amazing. Wait times when we got to the vet were not long either, as soon as we got there, we were in a room and the tech was with us. Again, very impressed. Will definitely be taking my girl here from now on! Thank you to all of the vets, techs, receptionists, etc. at Norwichtown Vet!

This facility is a comprehensive veterinary care provider, offering a broad spectrum of services for small, large, and exotic animals. Its designation as a "Pet Hospital" signifies its capability to handle a wide range of animal health needs, from routine preventive care to complex medical and surgical interventions, and even emergency situations. With a history of serving the community since 1971 and a recent partnership with Pieper Veterinary, Norwichtown Veterinary Hospital reinforces its commitment to providing high-quality, compassionate, and accessible care to its diverse clientele.

The environment at Norwichtown Veterinary Hospital is consistently praised for being exceptionally clean, well-kept, and welcoming, fostering a comfortable atmosphere for both pets and their owners. Clients frequently highlight the positive demeanor of the staff, describing the people at the front desk as "very kind and welcoming." This initial positive interaction sets the tone for the entire visit. The internal spaces, including the office and examination rooms, are maintained to a high standard, which contributes to a professional and reassuring feel. Beyond cleanliness, the efficiency of their operations also plays a significant role in the patient experience. Clients are impressed by the quick turnaround times, noting that "wait times to get in as a new patient were not long either," often booking within two weeks, and that upon arrival, they were "in a room and the tech was with us" almost immediately. This minimizes stress for both anxious pets and busy owners. The staff's genuine care for animals is also a key part of the environment, creating a compassionate and supportive setting, especially during critical moments.

Norwichtown Veterinary Hospital offers a comprehensive array of services that cover nearly every aspect of pet health, truly living up to its "Pet Hospital" designation. Their services include routine wellness examinations, ensuring pets receive regular check-ups to monitor their health and catch potential issues early. Vaccinations are a core offering, with a client specifically mentioning their lab mix receiving five vaccinations during one visit. They also provide microchipping, a crucial service for pet identification and reunification. Diagnostic services are extensive, including stool tests, and likely encompass in-house laboratory testing, digital radiography (X-rays), and ultrasound, as mentioned in external information about their facilities. Surgical procedures are a significant part of their offerings, ranging from routine spays and neuters to more complex operations. Dental care, parasite control (fleas, ticks, and heartworms), nutritional counseling, and behavioral counseling are also provided. A critical service highlighted by customer experiences is their capability for urgent and emergency care. A client's testimony about their kitty, KitKat, being seen immediately after an attack, even after calling late on a Sunday night, demonstrates their responsiveness and dedication to emergency cases. They also offer end-of-life care, including euthanasia services, and pharmacy services for prescription medications. Furthermore, their practice is a mixed-animal one, providing care for large animals in addition to small and exotic animals, making them a versatile resource for a wider range of pet owners.

Several features significantly distinguish Norwichtown Veterinary Hospital as a top-tier Pet Hospital. Firstly, their responsiveness and availability for urgent and emergency situations are exemplary. The ability to get a critically injured cat seen "first thing Monday" after a late Sunday night call, and taking "immediate action to save my kitty," showcases their commitment to emergency patient welfare. Secondly, despite offering comprehensive and high-quality services, clients are often surprised by the affordability. One reviewer specifically noted that the cost for multiple vaccinations, microchipping, a stool test, and an exam "was not nearly as much as I expected it to be," highlighting a surprising value. They even provided a "complimentary flea/tick/heartworm prevention for one month," adding further value. This combination of quality care at reasonable prices is a significant draw. Thirdly, the efficiency of their scheduling and in-clinic wait times is highly appreciated. Getting a new patient appointment within two weeks and minimal wait times upon arrival contribute to a positive and stress-free experience. Fourthly, the consistently positive and compassionate demeanor of the entire staff—vets, techs, and receptionists—is a recurring theme, fostering a supportive environment for both pets and their concerned owners. Lastly, their long-standing history in the community (since 1971) combined with their recent partnership with Pieper Veterinary, a larger network, suggests enhanced resources, advanced expertise, and a commitment to staying at the forefront of veterinary medicine while maintaining their community-focused approach.

Promotional information for Norwichtown Veterinary Hospital leverages its strong reputation for quality care, surprising affordability, and exceptional customer service. Positive testimonials are a cornerstone of their promotion, with clients "very impressed and happy with my decision to bring my girl here!" and stating they "will definitely be taking my girl here from now on!" The narrative of providing immediate, life-saving care for emergencies, as seen with KitKat's owner expressing profound gratitude, acts as powerful organic promotion. They would likely highlight their comprehensive service offerings, from routine preventive care to advanced diagnostics and emergency services, appealing to owners seeking a single, reliable veterinary partner. The unexpected affordability, especially for the range of services provided, is a strong promotional point that combats the common perception of high veterinary costs. Their efficient scheduling and minimal wait times would also be emphasized, catering to the convenience needs of modern pet owners. As part of the Pieper Veterinary network, they can also promote access to a wider range of specialized resources and potentially 24/7 emergency care through the network, enhancing their appeal. Their long-standing presence and commitment to the Norwich community, coupled with their mixed-animal practice capabilities, further solidify their position as a trusted and recommended Pet Hospital for all types of pet owners.

My kitty was attacked by an unknown animal Thursday night. She did not eat or drink all thru Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and into Monday morning. I called the clinic late Sunday night and left a message asking if they could see my kitty first thing Monday. I drove to the clinic at 7:30 am and waited...hoping they would be able to see her. At 7:50 i got a call telling me to bring her right in. They took immediate action to save my kitty. I am so very thankful for people like you folks at the clinic that truly care about animals. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. Signed..KitKat and KitKat's owner!!!

We started coming here a year ago at the recommendation of another Frenchie family. We had previously used on base for our dogs but wanted to get them more established with an off-base vet. At first, they were great. In the last few months everything went down hill fast. The inconsistent information between who you talk to at the time is mind-blowing . There on a Tuesday for heart guard test, asked about scheduling spay, told all set to schedule however we had to look at calendar first, called next day and was told had to make appointment with vet first. This is only one of many inconsistencies. About a month before THEY GAVE US THE WRONG DOSAGE for our other dogs allergy medicine. If it was a different type of medicine and we didn’t know what the pill looked like it could have killed our dog. They were very “oops” about it and in no way tried to remedy the situation besides telling us I needed to drive the 25 minutes back to get the correct pills. Within 30 minutes of getting off the phone with them yesterday we have scheduled with a new vet for care and have notified our friends who do go there that something is amiss with this vet all of a sudden.

Poor/ nonexistent follow up. the front desk staff could care less about customer satisfaction. Standard line is "we will call you back" but no one ever does. If your so busy you can't call someone back SAY SO or hire more competent people. This place got bought by a large corporation and kept the owner on as a figure head. Since then, the care has declined a great deal. It's a shame, it was a nice place to go but after the buyout it's all corporate BS. Maybe the old owners hands are tied. Thats the only valid excuse I can see to let a practice go so down hill.

I went last week for my dog Harley. She is very afraid and often full of anxiety. They worked very hard with me to assure she did not run into other dogs. I felt safe and secure with their care and the help they provided!
