Our first visit with Dr. Smith and our new puppy was amazing. She and her tech did a wonderful job handling our very rambunctious 5 month old Aussiedoodle Zoey. Best vet experience we have ever had. Would recommend Dr. Smith to all in need of vet care and services.

Apr 03, 2025 · Debra IrelandWe went to Northwood Animal Hospital today for Mia’s first visit, we transferred from another facility. When we walked in we were throughly impressed with the cleanness of front office and how friendly the staff was. Hannah took us in the exam room and was extremely nice and answered all my questions and concerns. Dr Smith came in and I was very impressed with her, she answered questions and even showed me how to clean out Mia’s ears. She took a lot of time with us. I’m very happy that we found this facility and give them 10 stars 😊
Mar 04, 2025 · Mary Ann WalterBad Business – Customers Beware Northwood Animal Hospital in High Point, NC (NAH), you can try to silence me on social media, but you can't delete this Google review. 1. Red Flags from Day One: On my first visit (2/16/2023), a large sign told customers to "be kind" to staff. While kindness is important, that sign raised concerns about professionalism. Respect should be mutual—not something demanded via signage. 2. Overpriced and Oversold: I was charged heavily for services, and when I questioned the costs, I was told, “Vet services are just expensive.” That’s not a justification. I was pushed into procedures that didn’t feel medically necessary—like $215 for pre-op bloodwork on a healthy dog before a routine dental. Preventative meds like Simparica Trio were the only option offered—costing over $600 per pet per year. This felt more like upselling than genuine care. 3. Billing Issues: I repeatedly found billing errors—always in the clinic’s favor. Discounts were missing, charges were vague or inaccurate, and explanations were unclear. I had to follow up multiple times to get reimbursements or honored discounts. When I tried to use a $100 Dental Awareness promotion, I was incorrectly told it had already been applied via my $100 deposit—which was untrue. 4. Mass Staff Walkout with no Warning: On April 10, 2025, my trusted vet and most of the team walked out. No one informed us, even though my dog had undergone major surgery just the day before (April 9). When post-op issues arose, there was no support. That same day, the clinic posted a message telling clients to seek emergency care elsewhere. We were left completely on our own. 5. Serious Ethical Concerns: Knowing they were about to lose staff and potentially shut down, they still chose to proceed with my dog’s surgery. That decision was reckless, unethical, and put my pet at risk. 6. Attempts to Silence Feedback: When I tried to raise these concerns on NAH’s Facebook page, my post was deleted, my account was blocked, and the entire page briefly went offline. When it returned, all critical posts had been removed. My husband, who still had access to NAH’s Facebook page, confirmed my post was gone. It’s clear this was a deliberate attempt to suppress legitimate complaints. Bottom Line: This clinic lacks transparency, accountability, and respect—for clients, staff, and the pets they’re supposed to care for. Trust has been completely broken. Proceed with caution.
May 06, 2025 · Nora MooreThis was the best vet experience I’ve ever had. All of the staff at Northwood appears to really live what they do and that makes a difference! Dr. Smith approached the appointment with such care, understanding, and a distinct desire to make me a better pet parent. She took time to explain things to me not only verbally but also showed me visually and with tactile examples of what could potentially impact my dog’s health. My dog, who is like my child, left smiling and so did I! If I could give them more stars I would.
