I've been going to this clinic for a year with my senior kitties. General info: Appointment costs are reasonable if not a bit cheaper than surrounding clinics, which is great. The clinic is busy, but they're always able to get you in for a sudden appointment if necessary, which I'm grateful for at times when my pets had concerning health issues arise. They always try to accommodate you. There are many vets at the clinic (I've met with at least 4-5), so you'll likely visit different vets each time unless your pet has a health issue, which means you'll see the same vet until it's resolved. Everyone is friendly and lovely and you don't feel rushed when you have an appointment. *Note: We are the voice for our pets health, so still, make sure you ask all the questions and do whatever you need for your pet, including following up on results for tests, etc. Because all these vets come from different backgrounds, at this clinic, I've experienced different consultations: vets with firm beliefs and who make immediate diagnoses and vets who advocate doing your own research (which i appreciate) and who consider any and all options before confirming anything. My experiences with most of the vets have been pleasant, but these differences naturally have us inclined toward favoring some vets at the practice more than others. Personal story: First, it was an annual exam, then it was my calico's unfortunate diagnosis of chronic kidney disease. Later, my tuxedo kitty was suffering from her mouth and because they didn't have any immediate dental care openings, they insisted upon her being checked by a dental specialist at a specialist clinic and we found she had terminal cancer. I'm grateful they did not make us wait. Her loss hurts us still to this day, but this clinic was very sweet in sending a card with their condolences. Dr. E: My calico got pancreatitis soon after that ordeal and she was seen by Dr. E, who is kind, very informative, and dare I say, our favorite vet at the practice. My calico was sent to an internal medicine doctor for specialist care, but despite this and some continued struggles, Dr. E was always thinking of ways to help when we needed it and always patiently answering and clarifying our many, many questions. Since working with Dr. E on maintainance care, our calico has gained weight and is doing very well, even when her chronic kidney disease has slightly progressed. What really helped her get out of lasting pancreatitis symptoms by the end was B12 injections Dr. E prescribed. Due to our many positive experiences with her, we continue to ask for Dr. E and highly recommend her. In conclusion: We've gone to this clinic so many times in the course of a year, and every time, the receptionists, vet techs, and vets have been wonderful to our cats and the prices of anything and everything have been fairly decent (highly recommend pet insurance with senior pets though). I would recommend this place for your pet's medical care, especially with Dr. E. and Dr. Roberts. [Pictures from 1 year ago]

Oct 23, 2024 · Arezui took my very fearful, high anxiety bunny here. the assistant and doctor were very patient and gentle with handling her to make sure she didn’t injure herself, and did a very thorough exam. we were surprised that it went so smoothly! i feel at peace knowing there’s a rabbit savvy team here when we need them. the office kitty is very charming too!
Mar 10, 2025 · Samantha SmithOur family have been going to this office for a few years now and I have to say that they are all from the Doctors and Staff are all wonderful. Our first visit was an emergency and from day one we were sure to always return. That’s how much we trust them. They’re knowledgeable and help you understand each course of treatment for our furbabies. They’re helpful in getting us a faster appointment during emergencies. They are compassionate and you can feel that they are animal lovers. After losing our Sparky they’ve been very attentive and thoughtful with remembering her. We are so touched. Our furbabies are very fortunate to have found a good doctor.
Feb 14, 2024 · DianaI could not be more grateful to have found this place for my bunny Zelda!! I have been to other bunny vets and I was not comfortable with taking my bun back there. This place is exactly what I was looking for this whole last year. Everyone who works here is amazing and they all know all about rabbits and all animals too. They sell critical care, hay, all natural bunny treats etc. My bun is not easy to deal with.. she is a sweetheart and friendly but she HATES being held or grabbed & they handled her so good. She wasn’t mad at me when we got home. Maria was so helpful with all my questions and handling Zelda, I appreciate you so much! And Dr. Ichikawa was amazing as well. Glad I did my research, if you’re looking for a good bunny vet or vet in general I highly recommended this place.
Mar 08, 2024 · Sarah KovatchMy bébé bunny Jameson and I looove the staff at Northwood Animal Hospital! Though it’s located in a teeny tiny plaza, I love coming here because the customer service is amazing! Setting up an appointment is as easy as making a phone call. They’ll ask if you’re a new or returning member and then discuss reasons for your visit. For your first visit, they charge you 50% of the standard price which is great. Due to Covid restrictions, only one person may accompany the pet into the room so family must wait in the lobby or in the car. Dr. Roberts is a very well-known vet who specializes in rabbits and she is super sweet! She always calls Jameson “the perfect size” and makes sure to give great pets and snuggles before finishing up the check-up. There is a new requirement to have the RHDV2 vaccine even for grooming services but since it’s safer for your bunny, I opted for this anyway. The vaccine is $45, the nail trim is $20-25, and the visit is $80-90 (can’t remember). Overall, this is our primary choice in Orange County and I can’t speak highly enough about how great the team is!
