I'm happy to say that I've had a wonderful experience as a first timer visiting this clinic. I just moved here a few months ago from Ohio, and had a minor medical emergency for my 10 year old cat (Big Boy). My previous experience with other veterinary clinics, has been very off-putting. Clinics that lie, upsell, push vaccines, push treatments, and try to keep you in the pay system for life with expensive food regimens. I was very relieved from the moment I walked in the door at Northwest Clinic. The receptionist was friendly, the vet tech was friendly, And Dr. (Eric?) Simmons was very helpful and knowledgeable. I was expecting to spend well over $1,000 and leaving angry. I wound up spending less than $500, With blood Labs, urine and fecal sample sent to labs, and two medications that had my cat feeling better in just 3 days! Dr. Simmons was kind, patient, knowledgeable, friendly, and did a wonderful job easing my fears and educating my mind. I will always trust this Clinic to give my pets the care that they need! Thank you

Jan 06, 2025 · Jae AndresFrom the moment I walked in with Wilson, my nearly 10 year old rescue Border Collie, we were treated like family. Made this dog mom comfortable as they took care of him and let me watch them checking him out! Thanks Brian for treating Wilson so well!
Mar 14, 2025 · Meghan BreenGreat care was taken to ensure my yorkie was safe and comfortable. The veterinarian went above and beyond communicating what was needed during, and after the surgery for a smooth recovery. Thank you.
Mar 07, 2025 · Terry TooleMy feline furball absolutely loves Jesse, one of the Vet Techs. I moved to Georgetown and I STILL bring Freya to this awesome veterinary clinic. Also they have very reason prices and great service. The only thing I would change is for them to also provide cat treats as well as dog treats. Would be totally awesome if they could provide equal treatment for both the beloved felines and canines LOL.
Oct 16, 2024 · Danielle BookerI just had a terrible experience at Northwest Austin Veterinary Center. I saw Dr. Boyd. My first visit to this vet. Shabby waiting room which is ok; it's more about the caring and expertise of the vets and a kind and helpful staff. The vibe in the waiting room was not friendly, cheerful. It was somber. From the second Dr. Boyd walked into the exam room, he behaved combatively and talked over me. After spending time in the waiting room past my appointment time, then in the exam room waiting to be seen, he informed me they wouldn't do a dental on my senior Chihuahua unless they vaccinated her. No one had told me this in advance. I am not one who vaccinates my dog anymore. She was vaccinated a few years ago and is now a senior. I don't want to expose her to the very real side effects of vaccines, especially rabies. The entire experience was not good, and this doctor was very unpleasant. I'll never go there again.
