I don't feel this man is mean or angry. He was wonderful and caring to baby when he spayed her this week. She's recovering nicely. And very reasonable priced.

Welcome to Northside Veterinary Clinic

Welcome to the introduction of Northside Veterinary Clinic, your local Pet Hospital located at 2004 West St, Grinnell, IA 50112, USA. As a part of the 'Pet Hospital' platform category, Northside Veterinary Clinic aims to provide veterinary services for the animals in the Grinnell area. Based on the limited but contrasting feedback from real customers, we can attempt to introduce their environment, services, features, and any potential implications for local users.

The provided reviews offer differing perspectives on the environment and atmosphere of Northside Veterinary Clinic. One customer described the veterinarian as "wonderful and caring" towards their pet during a spaying procedure. This suggests a compassionate and attentive environment, at least during treatment. However, another reviewer had a negative experience regarding communication and the veterinarian's demeanor over a phone inquiry about operating hours, describing the individual as "one of the rudest individuals I have ever spoke with." This paints a less favorable picture of the clinic's approach to client interaction, at least in this particular instance. Without more comprehensive information, it's challenging to definitively characterize the overall environment, but it appears that experiences can vary.

Based on the customer feedback, we can infer some of the services offered by Northside Veterinary Clinic:

  • Spaying: One review explicitly mentions that the veterinarian spayed their pet, indicating that this surgical procedure is among the services provided.
  • General Veterinary Care (Implied): As a Pet Hospital, it is highly likely that Northside Veterinary Clinic offers a range of general veterinary services, such as check-ups, vaccinations, and treatment for various illnesses, although these are not specifically detailed in the provided reviews.

Given the limited information, it is difficult to ascertain the full scope of services offered. Typically, a Pet Hospital would also provide services like diagnostics, other types of surgeries, dental care, and preventative medicine. Local users would need to contact the clinic directly to inquire about their complete service offerings.

The customer reviews provide some insights into the features of Northside Veterinary Clinic:

  • Caring Veterinarian (Reported by one customer): One reviewer found the veterinarian to be "wonderful and caring" during their pet's spay surgery, which suggests a compassionate approach to animal care in some instances.
  • Reasonable Prices (Reported by one customer): The same positive review also mentioned that the services were "very reasonable priced," which could be an attractive feature for pet owners.
  • Potentially Negative Communication (Reported by one customer): Conversely, another reviewer described a very negative phone interaction, highlighting potential issues with communication and customer service in certain situations.
  • Not Accepting New Clients (Reported by one customer): The statement "I am not taking new clients anyways" from the veterinarian, as reported by one reviewer, is a significant piece of information for local users seeking a new veterinary provider.

The stark contrast in these experiences suggests that while some aspects of the clinic, like the care during procedures and pricing, might be positive, other areas, such as communication and client intake, may present challenges.

In terms of promotional information, the positive feedback regarding the caring nature during the spay and the reasonable prices could be seen as positive points for those who are already clients. However, the information about not accepting new clients currently would act as a deterrent for those looking for a new veterinary service. There are no explicit promotional offers mentioned in the provided text. Local users might find the reasonable pricing appealing if they are current clients or if the clinic's status on accepting new patients changes. The caring attitude reported by one customer could also be a draw for those prioritizing compassionate care.

In conclusion, Northside Veterinary Clinic in Grinnell, IA, as a Pet Hospital, appears to offer caring service during certain procedures and has been noted to have reasonable prices by one customer. However, another user reported a negative experience with communication and was informed that the clinic was not currently accepting new clients. For local users, it would be prudent to consider both perspectives. If you are an existing client, you may appreciate the care and pricing. If you are a new pet owner in Grinnell seeking veterinary services, you should be aware of the report that the clinic is not currently taking new clients and perhaps contact them to confirm their current status on accepting new patients and inquire about their services and communication practices. You can reach Northside Veterinary Clinic at (641) 236-3868 or +1 641-236-3868 for further information.

All I wanted was to know his hours of operation. He did call me back 4 hours later only to be scolded for calling at “610” in the morning. Hasn’t he ever heard of emergencies? Our fur babies are our babies. One of the rudest individuals I have ever spoke with. Oh and “ I am not taking new clients anyways.” He is a sad, sad man.

Probably the RUDEST doctor i have ever dealt with and in my profession i deal with a lot of veterinarians. A 20 second phone call left me feeling degraded and also sad for the person talking to me.

This is a fantastic down to earth country vet! I don't want to pay for ambiance and expensive buildings. I just want a great vet AND this is a great vet.
