I had a little emergency with my cat and they were able to get me in right away so I wouldn’t have to wait until the early morning drop off. Not only did they take great care of her needs, but they went so far as to load me up with some complimentary food and nutrition they had in back that was taken off the shelves because they were close to expiry (we’ll be using it up well before they expire). Also, everyone on the staff has always been kind and great with my pets.

Welcome to the introduction of Northside Pet Hospital, a veterinary care provider located at 1727 Western Ave, Eau Claire, WI 54703, USA. As a local pet owner in search of reliable veterinary care, understanding the environment, services, features, and reputation of a pet hospital is crucial. While direct information about the hospital's facilities and comprehensive service list isn't explicitly provided, we can glean insights from the available customer reviews to form an objective understanding.

Based on the feedback, Northside Pet Hospital has, at least in the past, demonstrated a capacity to handle pet emergencies promptly. One reviewer specifically mentioned their positive experience with the hospital accommodating a cat emergency without requiring an overnight wait. This suggests a potential feature of timely attention to urgent cases, which can be a significant factor for pet owners facing unexpected health issues with their animals.

Furthermore, the same positive review highlights a caring approach beyond immediate medical needs. The act of providing complimentary food and nutrition, even if close to expiry, indicates a willingness to go the extra mile for their clients and their pets' well-being. This suggests a potential focus on holistic care and client support.

The reviewer also consistently praises the kindness and excellent interaction of the entire staff with their pets. This aspect of compassionate and pet-friendly staff is often a cornerstone of a positive experience at any veterinary care facility. A team that is gentle and understanding towards animals can significantly ease the stress associated with vet visits for both pets and their owners.

However, it's important to consider the more recent feedback, which presents a contrasting perspective. Several reviews indicate a perceived decline in the "tone and care" provided by Northside Pet Hospital, particularly following the departure of Dr. Emily and Dr. Michelle. This suggests that changes in personnel might have impacted the overall atmosphere and quality of service experienced by clients.

One concerning review expresses disappointment with the lack of communication and empathy received during a recent interaction. The primary response received by this customer, offering to send their pet's records, suggests a potentially transactional approach rather than one focused on addressing the client's concerns and emotional needs. This raises questions about the current emphasis on client relations and empathetic communication within the hospital.

Another comment echoes a broader sentiment of declining empathy in veterinary care within the Eau Claire area over the past decade. This paints a picture of potentially shifting priorities within the local veterinary landscape, and the reviewer expresses hope for finding a provider that prioritizes genuine care beyond the "bare minimum." This feedback underscores the importance of a pet hospital demonstrating genuine compassion and commitment to both animal welfare and client satisfaction.

In summary, based on the available reviews, Northside Pet Hospital has demonstrated positive attributes in the past, including the ability to handle emergencies promptly, a caring attitude towards clients by offering additional support like complimentary nutrition, and a kind and pet-friendly staff. However, more recent feedback indicates potential concerns regarding a perceived decline in the quality of care, communication, and empathy, particularly following staff changes. Potential local users are advised to consider these varying perspectives when evaluating Northside Pet Hospital for their pet care needs.

As a "Pet Hospital," Northside Pet Hospital likely offers a range of veterinary services, which typically include routine check-ups, vaccinations, diagnostics (such as blood tests and imaging), surgical procedures, dental care, and treatment for illnesses and injuries. Depending on their facilities, they might also offer specialized services. While the reviews don't explicitly detail all the services provided, the mention of emergency care implies they are equipped to handle urgent medical situations.

The potential sale of goods could include prescription medications, specialized pet food, nutritional supplements, and other pet-related products aimed at supporting the health and well-being of animals under their care. The complimentary food mentioned in one review suggests they might stock and potentially sell such items.

For local users in Eau Claire, WI, considering Northside Pet Hospital, it would be prudent to weigh the historical positive feedback against the more recent criticisms. Visiting the facility to assess the current environment and potentially speaking with the staff could provide a more up-to-date understanding of their services and approach to patient and client care. It's always recommended to inquire about their specific services, fees, and policies to make an informed decision about your pet's healthcare needs.

Promotional information is not available in the provided text. Therefore, we cannot comment on any current offers or special programs that Northside Pet Hospital might be running. Local users are encouraged to contact the hospital directly using the provided phone numbers or visit their address for any such information.

In conclusion, Northside Pet Hospital, as a "Pet Hospital" in Eau Claire, WI, has received both positive and negative feedback from its clients. While past experiences highlight prompt emergency care and a caring staff, more recent reviews suggest potential concerns regarding communication and empathy. Local users are advised to conduct their own due diligence to determine if Northside Pet Hospital aligns with their expectations for veterinary care.

We were happy to be clients here for a few years but the tone and care has changed. After Dr Emily and Dr Michelle left, it is a very different feeling place. When I expressed disappointment with the (lack of) communication and empathy I received this week the primary response was "let me know where you want us to send your records". Sad and disappointed. Veterinary care in EC has gotten so much worse and less empathetic over the last decade... hope we can find some place that lives up to it's word and shows more care than just the bare minimum.

My dog needed to be seen right away and the staff was able to make that work. They were kind and friendly. The vet explained my dog's condition and answered my questions.

My dog had a full dental done in June 2024. Over $1000. In August I brought him back in for a tooth issue with an abscess & was quoted what's shown on the pic I included. We had to reschedule a couple times because we didn't have the money but I called and asked how long the quote was good for, did I have a time limit I needed to get him back in for the tooth extraction? I was told blood work is good for a year so I had time. Finally got the money and went today to his appt. The tech left to "check something" and comes back with a new quote of $690-$1000 because the prices went up after the new year and he also needs blood work due to his age. I said the price is that much for 1 tooth? He's just supposed to be getting 1 tooth extracted. The tech left again and came back with a quote for $400+. She said in case they get in there and he needs more etc. HE JUST HAD A FULL DENTAL 7 MONTHS AGO. She went to go " check something" again & I left. I don't have $400! I was going by our earlier quote. Yes I see now that the quote says it expired in Sept. I understand the prices will go up. But the Tech was rude. She couldn't care less about my problem, she had no sympathy and just kept saying yep the prices went up. Also I called many times and rescheduled the appt why wasnt I told about the prices and bloodwork then? So frustrating. They didn't seem to know what they were doing. Isn't it in his chart?

they are so accommodating they make time out of thin air and they have always been so good at making my pet comfortable not stressed... they're also very good at reassuring the human pawents who are often more nervous than the pets 🥺🐕❤️
