Excellent care for my dog and 3 cats. They have convenient hours for appointments and the satellite location is also great during busy times. I love that I can text photos of my pet to them and they respond in a timely manner via text. Highly recommend. It’s on the high priced side, but it’s the only vet I’m Washington we’ve ever been to, so I can’t say relatively. But most of us would pay more on our pets’ healthcare than on our own.

The services offered at Northshore Veterinary Hospital are likely to encompass a broad spectrum of veterinary medicine. Based on the positive customer reviews, it is evident that they provide routine check-ups and preventative care for common household pets such as dogs and cats. This may include vaccinations, parasite control (flea, tick, and heartworm prevention), nutritional counseling, and general health assessments to ensure your pet's well-being. The mention of care for a rabbit indicates their expertise extends beyond just dogs and cats, suggesting they are equipped to handle the specific needs of other small animals.
Beyond routine care, a full-service Pet Hospital like Northshore Veterinary Hospital typically offers diagnostic services to identify and address various health issues. These services may include laboratory testing (blood work, urinalysis, fecal exams), imaging techniques such as X-rays, and potentially ultrasound to visualize internal organs. These diagnostic tools are crucial for accurate and timely diagnoses, allowing the veterinary team to develop appropriate treatment plans.
For pets requiring medical intervention, Northshore Veterinary Hospital likely provides medical treatments for a wide range of illnesses and conditions. This could involve administering medications, providing supportive care, and managing chronic diseases. In situations where surgical intervention is necessary, a well-equipped Pet Hospital usually offers surgical services. These can range from routine procedures like spaying and neutering to more complex surgeries depending on the hospital's capabilities and the expertise of their veterinary staff. One of the standout features highlighted in the customer reviews is the convenience offered by Northshore Veterinary Hospital. The availability of convenient appointment hours is a significant benefit for busy pet owners, making it easier to schedule necessary veterinary care without major disruptions to their routines. Furthermore, the mention of a satellite location suggests a commitment to accessibility and potentially reduced wait times during peak periods. This multi-location approach demonstrates a proactive effort to serve a wider range of clients and ensure timely access to care.
Another notable feature praised by a customer is the ability to text photos of their pet to the hospital and receive timely responses via text. This modern approach to communication showcases a commitment to leveraging technology to enhance client convenience and provide prompt advice or guidance. This feature can be particularly valuable for initial assessments of minor concerns or for providing updates on a pet's condition remotely.
The follow-up call received by a customer the day after their rabbit's appointment is another significant positive feature. This proactive approach to patient care demonstrates a genuine concern for the animal's well-being and provides an opportunity for pet owners to ask any follow-up questions or address any concerns that may arise after the visit. This level of communication and attention to detail contributes to a positive and reassuring experience for pet owners.
Regarding pricing, one customer noted that Northshore Veterinary Hospital is "on the high priced side." However, they also acknowledged that they have no basis for comparison within Washington and expressed a common sentiment among pet owners – a willingness to invest more in their pets' healthcare than their own. While cost is a factor for many, the positive reviews emphasizing excellent care, communication, and convenience suggest that many pet owners find the value provided by Northshore Veterinary Hospital justifies the expense.
In conclusion, based on the available information and customer feedback, Northshore Veterinary Hospital appears to be a reputable and comprehensive Pet Hospital serving the Bellingham, WA area. They offer a range of essential veterinary services for dogs, cats, rabbits, and potentially other small animals. Key features include convenient appointment hours, a satellite location for increased accessibility, modern communication methods like text messaging for updates and inquiries, and proactive follow-up care. Mar 30, 2025 · Meredith LMHDr. Jensen and staff were excellent. Very communicative and helpful in taking care of my rabbit. I was also pleasantly surprised by the follow-up call the next day to check on him. He’s recovering well!
Jun 03, 2024 · Becky FinkbonnerFantastic customer service for both humans and animals here. The staff are knowledgeable, communicative, and clearly care about their charges. They put my mind right at ease while my cat had an all day procedure. Thank you.
Dec 06, 2024 · Liz AndréDr. Lee and the teams at both Northshore Veterinary locations are so helpful and kind! I needed a last-minute appointment for my cat and they fit me in the same day I called, which helped relieve so much stress for me. The visit was great, and Dr. Lee gave me a ton of resources and tips to help my cat feel better. It's such a comfort to know that even in emergencies, I can count on the staff at Northshore. I highly recommend bringing your pet to them!
Mar 07, 2024 · Rachel WermagerI cannot say enough good things about them. My cat absolutely loves Dr. Lee. She shocked us with her good behavior with this awesome vet. Recently my daughter had to have her beloved cat euthenized, because of cancer, and her coworkers and boss (she works there) were incredibly supportive.
