Welcome to NorthPaws Veterinary Center
Located at 564 Putnam Pike, Greenville, RI 02828, USA, **NorthPaws Veterinary Center** stands as a highly regarded pet hospital, serving the needs of companion animals and their families in Greenville and the surrounding communities of Rhode Island. NorthPaws has built a strong reputation for combining advanced veterinary medicine with a deeply compassionate and personalized approach, embodying their motto: "Modern Medicine, Traditional Values."
The environment at NorthPaws Veterinary Center is carefully designed to create a welcoming and comforting atmosphere for both pets and their owners. Notably, the hospital operates out of a **retrofitted 150-year-old Victorian home**, which physically embodies their philosophy of blending high-tech care with a "homey feel." This unique setting, located on a busy Greenville corner, contributes to a warm and inviting ambiance that can help reduce the anxiety often experienced by pets during veterinary visits. The owners, Drs. Mark and Danielle Paradise, specifically sought to create a practice that offered technologically advanced care while retaining the personal, attentive feel of a "country doctor." This means clients can expect a clean, professional, yet comforting space where their pets feel more at ease. The dedication to preserving the historical character of the building, coupled with modern veterinary amenities, truly sets the physical environment of NorthPaws apart.
NorthPaws Veterinary Center offers a comprehensive suite of **veterinarian services** designed to cater to the diverse needs of dogs and cats throughout every stage of their lives. Their core offerings include **preventative care and wellness programs**, which are fundamental to maintaining long-term health. These typically involve routine wellness exams, tailored vaccination protocols, and effective parasite prevention and control. Beyond routine care, NorthPaws is equipped to handle more complex medical conditions with extensive **diagnostic and imaging capabilities**, including a **modern surgical suite**, **in-house ultrasound**, and **two digital radiograph units**. This allows for quick and accurate diagnoses, which are critical in emergency or critical care situations.
The center's surgical services span from routine procedures like **spaying and neutering** to more complex soft tissue and orthopedic surgeries, all performed with meticulous attention to patient safety and post-operative care. As evidenced by a client's review regarding a spaying surgery on their Texas Heeler, the communication about "what-to-expect, including recovery" was thorough, the process "went smoothly," and the "scar is barely visible," highlighting the high standard of surgical care. Additionally, NorthPaws emphasizes **dental health**, providing professional dental cleanings and dental X-rays to address oral health issues that can impact overall well-being. Other specialized services include **dietary counseling** for nutritional support, **acupuncture and herbal medicine** for alternative and complementary therapies, **K-Laser Therapy** for pain management and healing, and a **well-stocked in-house pharmacy** for convenient access to medications. They also offer **overnight care** for hospitalized patients requiring continuous monitoring.
One of the most compelling features of NorthPaws Veterinary Center, consistently praised by long-term clients, is their **compassionate staff and genuine concern** for their animal patients. Reviewers repeatedly describe NorthPaws as "the greatest vet our family has ever had," noting the "care they have shown for our dogs and cats over many years." This profound level of care extends beyond medical treatment, embracing the emotional needs of both pets and their owners. The staff's ability to demonstrate "genuine care for our pup, as if it were their own," is a recurring theme. Moreover, NorthPaws provides crucial **pet loss and bereavement support**, offering guidance and comfort during the difficult time of losing a beloved pet. A poignant review states, "When it was time to go, we cried together. When the time comes, know that the staff truly care and always do their best for the pets and their owners." This highlights their empathy and understanding during sensitive moments, establishing them as an "extended family" for many. Their commitment to superior quality medicine and compassionate care is a direct reflection of their mission to provide outstanding customer service and to foster a positive attitude toward pet ownership.
In terms of promotional information, NorthPaws Veterinary Center endeavors to make high-quality veterinary care accessible and convenient for their clients. While specific, limited-time promotions are dynamic and best confirmed directly with the center, they do offer competitive pricing on products and medications, often able to match or beat online prices for in-office purchases. This ensures that clients receive guaranteed products backed by the manufacturer, with the added benefit of professional guidance and return policies. NorthPaws also offers an **online store partnered with Vetsource** for convenient home delivery of medications and prescription diets. They have also been noted to partner with **CareCredit** for treatment financing, helping clients manage unexpected large medical costs. Furthermore, NorthPaws Veterinary Center is **AAHA (American Animal Hospital Association) accredited**, which signifies their adherence to the highest standards of veterinary excellence across all aspects of their practice. They also provide various resources on their website, including information about pet insurance, which can further help manage veterinary expenses. They strive to accommodate busy schedules, with appointments available Monday through Friday from 7:30 AM to midnight, Saturday from 8:00 AM to 7:00 PM, and Sunday from 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM, making them a readily available option for pet owners.

Aug 03, 2024 · Nick InglisNorthPaws offers great veterinarian services. They have been our pet care facility for roughly 10 years. And have cared for our cat Jack, our dog Pepper who are no longer with us, And currently our Senior Border Beagle, and 1 year old Texas Heeler. Our heeler recently underwent spaying surgery. We were well informed of what-to-expect, including recovery. Post op, her scar is barely visible. The process went smoothly, communication effective, and again genuine care for our pup, as if it were their own. We recently lost our dog of 11 years. They helped to guide us with care and treatment options and when it was time to go, we cried together. When the time comes, know that the staff truly care and always do their best for the pets and their owners.
Jun 14, 2024 · Melissa PugliaI couldn't be happier with the care that my pets have received from Dr Paradise and the staff at North Paws! I had a very high strung chihuahua, Max, who had a very difficult time being away from me. Dr Paradise always let me stay with Max when having dental procedures - I held him until he was groggy with pre-meds, then I held him after the procedure until he was fully awake and ready to go home. Max had never received such kind, understanding care before seeing Dr Paradise and staff. I currently have a fearful black Lab/pittie mix who is also treated with very gentle and compassionate care. Thank you to Dr Paradise and staff at North Paws!
