Above and beyond. Great staff. Appreciated the vet giving all options and letting me make an educated choice. Ẃent with an IV for hydration and nausea medicine. 3 hrs later my pup is eating frozen blueberries, boiled chicken & kibble. Drinking water and on the mend🥰 They make sure you're aware of prices for care and they're THE NICEST people ever. Buzz was in good hands!

Cooper had to pay a visit to the emergency room. Everyone was SO caring and made me feel at ease when I had to leave my little guy there for a few days to get better. I was mostly impressed with the staff’s communication skills. It didn’t matter which shift or what staff was working they all knew my Cooper and what was happening. The doctors called me each day for an update on his progress. Cooper had multiple issues and each doctor took their time in explaining everything he had going on and what the next plan was. On top of all this still keeping my family vet up to date on his stay as well. I can’t thank Nives enough for the excellent care and compassion they provided. Truly top notch. ❤️

I need to extend my profound gratitude to the Northeast Indiana Veterinary Emergency and Specialty Hospital in Fort Wayne. I hope that we never need their services again, but wouldn't hesitate to have them care for any of our furry family members. From the moment we frantically walked through their door late last Friday night with Max, until today when we picked up his ashes, they were nothing but compassionate, thoughtful and professional. The care that they gave not only to him, but also us, last week was exceptional. Every detail of what is undoubtedly a horrific experience for a pet owner was handled with grace and compassion. They gave us treatment options, detailing what each would look like, answered our questions honestly, and made sure that Max was comfortable. They gave us indulgent treats to offer him before saying our final good byes, and allowed us as much time as we needed with him privately beforehand, as well as afterwards. The entire staff went over and above what was necessary, but it didn't go unnoticed. ❤️ Sunday evening I answered a call from a Fort Wayne number, unsure of who it was. On the other end was a Grief Counselor from NIVES wanting to check on us to see how everyone was handling the loss of our beloved Max. She was incredibly kind as she gave me her number and offered her services whenever we might need it, as grief comes in waves. Thursday we received a hand written card from the staff at NIVES, as well Max's nose print and paw prints. Today we picked up his ashes, and were in awe of all the details in this as well. Max came back home in a beautiful wooden box, and was accompanied by a clay imprint of his paw, as well as a container of his fur. I can't recommend NIVES enough, or ever completely convey how much their thoughtfulness has helped us through this loss. Thank you!

I cannot express my satisfaction with the Northeast Indiana Veterinary Hospital. People are friendly, knowledgeable, and caring. I had concerns about my pets well-being post surgery. I’m so impressed that when I would call seeking advice how quickly I would receive a response. I can’t say enough about the staff and care my pet received.

I highly recommend NIVES! We had to bring in our cat because he had a string hanging out of his rectum. We tried removing it at home, but it was only hurting him. It was 830 at night and everyone was beyond caring and helpful. My cat had to have surgery, the surgeon called me before and after my cat’s surgery. She Explained everything so well and made me feel much more relaxed And less worried. He had to stay less than 24 hours, and the checkout procedure went very quickly and everybody again was so kind. If you have an emergency with your pet., At any time of the day, I highly recommend knives and their staff.
