They got me in fast and were very friendly but when it came to my dog it was very lackluster. Got us back there the dog was acting odd. The dr listened to her vitals and then blamed old age for the way that she was acting. The vet ended up pushing this omega supplement that she even said she got a kickback from. Did not take blood did not really do anything for the dog. Used a reference of my grandma fell over on thanksgiving and we’re not putting her down. The dog could barely stand up on her own. So needless to say I took her to another veterinary hospital and turns out she has a brain tumor. Needless to say I’m glad they only charged me 50 dollars cause if it was anymore I would be fighting for my money back.

Welcome to Northeast Animal Hospital

Welcome to the online introduction of Northeast Animal Hospital, a local pet hospital situated at 513 Green St, Freeland, PA 18224, USA. As a dedicated Pet Hospital, Northeast Animal Hospital aims to serve the local community by providing veterinary care services and potentially offering related goods for your beloved pets. You can reach them by phone at (570) 636-1877 or via mobile at +1 570-636-1877.

To provide you with a comprehensive understanding of Northeast Animal Hospital, we have gathered some information, including direct feedback from customers who have experienced their services. This will help you form an objective perspective on what to expect.

Based on available information, Northeast Animal Hospital operates as a physical location where pet owners can bring their animals for various health-related needs. As a Pet Hospital, the expectation is that they offer a range of veterinary services, potentially including routine check-ups, diagnostics, treatments for illnesses and injuries, and possibly surgical procedures. The physical environment of a pet hospital is typically designed to be clean and functional, equipped with examination rooms, and possibly areas for housing animals temporarily for observation or treatment.

However, it is crucial to consider the experiences shared by other pet owners. Some customer reviews raise concerns about the quality of care and the overall professionalism. One review mentions a situation where a dog exhibiting unusual behavior was allegedly dismissed as "old age" without thorough diagnostics like blood work. This customer reported being encouraged to purchase an omega supplement from which the veterinarian supposedly received a kickback. Ultimately, this pet was diagnosed with a brain tumor at another veterinary hospital.

Another review expresses discomfort and a feeling of unprofessionalism due to the behavior of a male staff member. This customer also reported that the primary veterinarian, Dr. Deb, seemed impatient with questions about standard care and allegedly pushed an expensive supplement for a cat's respiratory infection before mentioning antibiotics. This reviewer also claims that Dr. Deb promotes Bravecto, a product associated with a class-action lawsuit concerning pet deaths.

These reviews paint a picture that potential clients should consider carefully. While Northeast Animal Hospital operates as a local Pet Hospital offering veterinary services, these personal accounts suggest potential issues with the thoroughness of medical assessments, the promotion of certain products, and the overall professionalism experienced by some customers.

As a Pet Hospital, Northeast Animal Hospital would ideally offer a range of services to ensure the health and well-being of your pets. Typically, such services might include:

  • Preventative care: This includes vaccinations, parasite control (flea, tick, heartworm prevention), and routine wellness exams.
  • Diagnostics: This can involve blood tests, urine analysis, X-rays, and other imaging techniques to diagnose illnesses.
  • Medical treatment: Management of various medical conditions through medication, supportive care, and other therapies.
  • Surgery: Performance of surgical procedures, which could range from routine spays and neuters to more complex operations.
  • Dental care: Including teeth cleaning and addressing dental issues.
  • Emergency care: Handling urgent medical situations, although it's not explicitly stated if Northeast Animal Hospital offers 24/7 emergency services.

Given the feedback received, it would be prudent for pet owners in the Freeland, PA area to weigh these experiences against their own expectations for veterinary care. While the hospital is locally accessible, the reviews highlight potential concerns regarding diagnostic thoroughness, treatment recommendations, and staff conduct.

Promotional information is not explicitly provided in the given data. Typically, a pet hospital might promote services like discounted first visits, seasonal specials on vaccinations or parasite prevention, or loyalty programs. Without such information, we cannot detail any specific promotions for Northeast Animal Hospital.

In conclusion, Northeast Animal Hospital is a Pet Hospital located in Freeland, PA, offering veterinary care services. While they are locally available, some customer reviews suggest potential shortcomings in their approach to patient care and customer service. We encourage local pet owners to consider this feedback when making decisions about their pet's healthcare needs and to potentially seek further information or second opinions as deemed necessary.

Unprofessional and questionable ethics. The young man (vet assisstant? tech in training? his presence was never explained to me) is... well... creepy. I'm a young woman and did NOT want to be alone in the room with him. The primary vet, Dr. Deb, seemed annoyed by me asking standard care questions, as if she wanted to hurry up and get out of there. She also pushed me to buy an expensive supplement to treat a bacterial upper respiratory infection in my cat, adding antibiotics as an afterthought only AFTER I mentioned using real medicine. She also pushes Bravecto, which is the source of a class-action lawsuit because it kills pets. Seems like a seedy, money-focused place that hires questionable staff. Definitely go to White Haven Vet instead; they're more expensive, but offer far better medical care.

Awesome staff to deal with, got us in fast when my vet couldn't when my dog needed help, very thorough and starting to switch my animals to Dr.Deb from now on! Thank you so very much Dr. Deb for all you do! You and your staff are so wonderful!

My pets have all received excellent care here! Dr. Nahay puts your pet's care first! Other vets seem to only be interested in your wallet.
