Northeast Animal Hospital

Captain and Gracie love the staff at Northeast Animal Hospital. They are always so friendly and knowledgeable. They genuinely care about the dogs and take into consideration that they have different personalities and needs and treat them accordingly.

I've been bringing my oldest cat for years, they were the ones who caught her early stage kidney disease and got her on an affordable course of food and bi-annual testing that gave her 5 high-quality years after diagnosis. They never ordered more testing than what was necessary, and they always gave her lots of love. This extended to this week when she took a sudden, drastic turn. I appreciate all the vets over the years but Dr. Melissa Iverson provided us such warmth and care as we took an hour to discuss all options and outcomes but ultimately helped us come to the decision to put her to sleep. She and the tech (Alexa I think?) stayed with us past closing as we got her comfortable and said our goodbyes. We were able to bury her at home, at sunset, in her favorite place. I really want to thank Northeast Animal Hospital from the bottom of my heart for giving me 2-3 extra high-quality-of-life years with my beloved Nym and being there for her at the end. We will continue to bring our other 2 here for as long as we live in Pinellas. Thank you for everything.

After my precious vet’s office closed suddenly, I started taking my kitty here and have had nothing but positive experiences. The front desk staff is professional, friendly and helpful. The vet is also nice to work with!

I have been bringing my dog, Dennis, to Northeast Animal Hospital since the day I adopted him, and I truly couldn’t ask for a better veterinary team. Dr. Benham is incredibly knowledgeable and always takes the time to answer my questions in detail, making sure I feel confident and informed about Dennis's care. The entire staff is friendly, compassionate, and helpful, and Dennis always enjoys seeing all of his friends there. The quality of care at Northeast Animal Hospital is exceptional. I even moved an hour south but continue to make the drive because I can’t imagine taking Dennis anywhere else. It’s a comfort to know he's in such capable hands, and I would highly recommend Dr. Benham and the team to any pet parent looking for outstanding veterinary care!

Update: As hard as we all (it was definitely a village effort!) tried to keep him here Oliver was called home and crossed the Rainbow 🌈 Bridge 2 weeks ago. Dr. Brezicki couldn't have been more loving and compassionate. It absolutely broke our hearts to let him go but it was the right decision. I miss him so much but know he's always with me. Such a special boy that came into my life and SAVED ME. It's definitely a rescue story of "who saved who?". I gave him the best life possible for the 2 years he blessed us with. The condolence card from both of his vet's was the most touching. I have room in my ❤️ and home for 2 babies I'm adopting soon...of course I will ALWAYS have NE Animal Hospital & it's incredible staff as my veterinarian. When I got my rescue cat, Oliver, Pretty Litter showed me that he had a urinary issue and Dr Benham confirmed it. They have given me & my sweet boy so much help - even besides coming in for an appointment, they talk patiently with me on the phone or email me back with answers to questions I have. I just brought Oliver in on Thursday & Friday I had a call from them to check on him. I don't feel like they're doing that because they're "supposed" to but because they truly care and want to make sure he was okay. He is. 🧡 VERY grateful for NE Animal Hospital & the ENTIRE staff- thank you!

The best vet out there. Everyone is so kind, understanding, and very good at their jobs. Always 100% helpful. Dr Brezicki really understands Anya's anxieties and quirks and takes amazing care of her. Also a special shout-out to Martina, Eve and Alexa. You can tell they greatly care about animals and put their hearts into their work. My dog is very anxious and hates all other animals, and the staff here does not make us feel unwelcome and treats Anya with care, patience, and understanding.
