First, I want to say I have never taken the time to write a bad review ever but with that said I have never dealt with more impatient and rude customer service in my life. Everyone seems overly stressed, not willing to be patient and answer simple questions. I’m a first time pup owner and called twice this month to make and I’ve never been treated so poorly. When I asked a family member who takes their dog here if they are normally like that, she said yes! The staff are so rude and impatient!!!!

Welcome to North Smithfield Animal Hospital

Welcome to North Smithfield Animal Hospital, located at 921 Victory Hwy, North Smithfield, RI 02896, USA. As a Pet Hospital serving the North Smithfield community, we aim to provide veterinary services for your animal companions. We can be reached at (401) 766-7608 or our mobile number +1 401-766-7608 to inquire about our services or schedule appointments. It is important for prospective clients to be aware that online reviews for North Smithfield Animal Hospital present a mixed perspective on the quality of service provided.

Information regarding the specific environment of North Smithfield Animal Hospital is not detailed in the provided reviews. Typically, a Pet Hospital includes a reception area for clients and their pets, examination rooms where veterinary professionals conduct consultations and treatments, and potentially surgical suites, diagnostic imaging areas, and recovery spaces for animals undergoing procedures or needing observation. The overall cleanliness, comfort, and organization of these areas contribute to the overall experience for both pets and their owners. However, without positive descriptions from reviewers, it is difficult to offer specific details about the environment at this time.

Due to the limited and negative nature of the provided customer reviews, offering a comprehensive overview of the services, features, and positive aspects of North Smithfield Animal Hospital based solely on this information is challenging. It is standard for a Pet Hospital to offer a range of services to address the health needs of pets, which generally include:

Preventative Care: This typically involves routine wellness examinations, vaccinations tailored to the pet's species, age, and lifestyle, parasite prevention (for fleas, ticks, heartworms, and intestinal parasites), and nutritional counseling.

Diagnostic Services: Pet hospitals usually offer diagnostic capabilities such as in-house laboratory testing (blood work, urine analysis, fecal exams) and imaging services like digital radiography (X-rays) to aid in the diagnosis of various medical conditions.

Medical Treatment: Veterinarians provide treatment for a wide range of illnesses and injuries, including prescribing medications, administering therapies, and offering supportive care.

Surgical Services: Many animal hospitals perform surgical procedures, from routine spays and neuters to more complex soft tissue surgeries. Anesthesia and post-operative care are critical components of these services.

Dental Care: This includes routine dental cleanings, examinations of the oral cavity, and treatment for dental diseases.

However, the provided reviews raise significant concerns regarding the customer service and the quality of surgical care at North Smithfield Animal Hospital. One reviewer describes experiencing "impatient and rude customer service," noting that staff seemed "overly stressed" and "not willing to be patient and answer simple questions." This individual, a first-time pup owner, reported negative experiences during two attempts to make appointments and was informed by a family member that this behavior was typical.

Another, more गंभीर review details a concerning surgical outcome involving their cat, Zoey. The review states that Zoey underwent surgery for a lump removal and spaying, which cost over $1000. Post-surgery, the reviewer was informed of incidental findings (one ovary and one kidney). However, three weeks later, Zoey required emergency surgery at another facility due to a severely compromised abdomen with organs protruding. The emergency veterinary team reportedly found surgical errors, including a cut artery and a lacerated intestine, and deemed the initial surgery unconventional. Despite a prolonged and costly recovery, Zoey survived. The reviewer also states that North Smithfield Animal Hospital refused to provide follow-up care and advised them to find another vet. This review expresses a strong negative sentiment and alleges significant surgical negligence.

Given these serious allegations and negative feedback, it is difficult to highlight positive features or benefits of choosing North Smithfield Animal Hospital based solely on this information. The reviews serve as a strong caution for potential clients and indicate significant issues with both customer service and surgical competence in at least one instance.

Currently, there is no information available regarding any promotional offers or special programs at North Smithfield Animal Hospital. In light of the negative reviews, any potential promotions would need to be weighed against the reported experiences of other clients.

For local users in North Smithfield, RI, and surrounding areas seeking a Pet Hospital, it is crucial to consider the information presented in the online reviews for North Smithfield Animal Hospital. The feedback regarding rude and impatient customer service, as well as the गंभीर account of a severely complicated surgical outcome, should be carefully evaluated when making a decision about your pet's veterinary care. While every veterinary practice can have isolated negative experiences, the consistency of the negative comments regarding staff attitude in one review and the severity of the surgical complication described in the other warrant significant caution. It is recommended that pet owners in the area research and consider alternative veterinary hospitals to ensure their pets receive high-quality care and positive customer service.

In conclusion, North Smithfield Animal Hospital in North Smithfield, RI, is a veterinary facility providing services for pets. However, the available online reviews contain significant negative feedback concerning both customer service and surgical outcomes. Potential clients should carefully consider this information and may want to seek alternative veterinary care providers to ensure a positive and safe experience for their beloved animals.

I've used this vets for my animals for several years for different pets. I took my therapy cat name zoey to this place because she had a lump under her shoulder. The doctor said it needed to be removed. It cost over $1000.00 . They said to space her at the same time. We agree. Zoey did great after surgery. The doctor that performed the surgery was not the doctor that I thought was doing it. She came out. Really didn't even look us in the eyes. Her eyes were bloodshot red. Telling us that zoey only had 1 overie and 1 kidney. Ok no big deal. 3 weeks later. I'm rushing my cat 1 hr away to an emergency room with her stomach wide open and her guts hanging out. We got to the emergency vet room and 8 doctors said they never seen anything like this. And have never performed a surgery like this and her chance of living was 10%. . It's been another 3 weeks of hell with my cat and family. But thankfully zoey is alive and doing well. 5 days in a row I had to back to the emergency room with her. The emergency vet was amazing. They can't throw people under the bus but they do believe that this should of not happened. One of her arteries was cut to deep. One of her instestins was cut when they performed the surgery. All her organs had to be put back in place. This was GODS will and the surgens who saved her life no thanks to this place. I was not going to blame this vet for what happened, not to mention this cost my family over 12,000.00 and had to be paid on full. Not including losing work. I wanted to take zoey back her for follow ups and they said they won't take her no more and told me to find another vet. Unbelievable. Now I know they are at fault. Calling a lawyer. DO NOT TAKE YOUR PETS HERE IF YOU TRULY LOVE YOUR PET!

I have always respected the Drs at NSAH. The front desk, aka Kim, is so friendly, keeps a smile on her face as she zooms around answering calls, checking clients out and in..., answering questions. Making sure everything runs smoothly.

Absolutely amazing staff! The Dr was so friendly, and helpful. You can tell that they genuinely care about your pets. The office is spacious, bright, clean and inviting. I'm actually sad that we moved and have to find a different vet. I would recommend this place to anyone who's looking for a thorough, caring vet office. I really miss them
