Took my cat there a few times out of convenience since they're close to my house and my cat hates car rides but was never impressed by this place. Antiquated clinic with backyard folding metal chairs in the waiting room, but overlooked all that for convenience's sake. Wish I hadn't. This place has been steadily and rapidly declining. Between the incompetent and extremely rude front office especially Crystal and the constantly changing inexperienced "vet techs" and the floaters, unknowledgeable "vets", this is a place you want to AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE! This last visit broke the camel's back. Took my cat in for a physical exam. New "vet" Brecht was unfriendly, cold, unknowledgeable and lazy. She didn't even listen to his heart and lungs. What kind of physical is that?!? Then the inexperienced "vet techs" couldn't draw his blood. They were afraid of him and he sensed that. You're in the wrong line of work if you're this afraid of animals. I reminded them that last year the "techs" then GASSED him a little (so they told me) to draw his blood. But they had no record of it. Hmmm shady. Another thing about them. Extremely POOR record keeping. They then told me I had to come back and they were going to either gas him again (and watch him for 1 hr, which they should've done the first time but didn't) or give him an injectable anesthesia so they could draw his blood. What? On a senior cat? Just to draw blood?!? Don't think so. Funny, because my groomer has NO problems clipping his nails (which incidentally their "techs" can't do it either). That's because he's experienced and isn't afraid of my cat and it shows. Anyway, save your $, save yourself the headache and possibly save your pet's life by STAYING AWAY from this horrible, shady and extremely subpar place!

As a local Pet Hospital, they aim to serve the community with a range of veterinary services to ensure the health and well-being of your animal companions.
Understanding the needs of pet owners, a local Pet Hospital like North Escondido Animal Hospital typically offers a variety of services to address different aspects of pet health. These services generally include routine check-ups and physical examinations, which are crucial for the early detection of potential health issues. Vaccinations, a cornerstone of preventive care, are usually administered to protect pets from common and potentially serious diseases. Parasite prevention and control, encompassing measures against fleas, ticks, heartworms, and other internal and external parasites, are also vital services offered by such establishments.
Beyond preventive care, Pet Hospitals often provide diagnostic services to identify the underlying causes of illness. These may include laboratory testing such as blood work, urinalysis, and fecal examinations. Imaging techniques like X-rays (radiography) and sometimes ultrasound may be available to visualize internal structures and aid in diagnosis. For pets requiring surgical intervention, a Pet Hospital typically offers a range of surgical procedures, from routine spays and neuters to more complex soft tissue or orthopedic surgeries. Dental care is another important aspect, often including teeth cleaning, scaling, and extractions to maintain oral health.
In times of unexpected illness or injury, a local Pet Hospital plays a critical role in providing medical treatment. This can involve administering medications, providing supportive care such as intravenous fluids, and managing various medical conditions. Some Pet Hospitals may also offer emergency services or have protocols in place for handling urgent situations during their operating hours.
To better understand the environment and features of North Escondido Animal Hospital, it's important to consider the experiences shared by other pet owners. Based on available feedback, some customers have noted the clinic's convenient location, particularly for those residing nearby, which can be a significant factor when pets dislike travel. However, some reviewers have expressed concerns regarding the facility's upkeep and the professionalism of certain aspects of the service.
Specifically, some feedback mentions an "antiquated clinic" with basic waiting room furniture. While the physical environment is one aspect, the quality of care and service are paramount. Several reviewers have raised significant concerns about the competence and demeanor of some front office staff, particularly mentioning rudeness and disorganization. Communication issues, such as being put on hold for extended periods or experiencing hang-ups, have also been reported.
Furthermore, some customers have expressed dissatisfaction with the veterinary care provided. Concerns include perceived lack of thoroughness in physical examinations, with one reviewer stating that a new veterinarian did not listen to their cat's heart and lungs. There have also been negative experiences reported with inexperienced veterinary technicians struggling with basic procedures like blood draws, sometimes leading to distress for the animal. One review mentioned the past use of sedation for blood draws without proper record-keeping, raising concerns about transparency and patient safety.
The ability of the staff to handle animals comfortably and competently is crucial in a Pet Hospital setting. One reviewer contrasted the difficulties experienced at the hospital with their groomer's ease in handling their cat, suggesting a potential lack of experience or confidence among some of the hospital's technical staff. The importance of accurate record-keeping has also been highlighted as an area needing improvement.
Scheduling issues have also been reported, with one customer recounting a follow-up appointment being scheduled on a day the office was closed, indicating potential administrative oversights. While some feedback acknowledges that "vets are great," the recurring issues with the front office operations seem to significantly impact the overall customer experience.
It's important for pet owners to consider all available information when choosing a Pet Hospital for their animals. While convenience can be a factor, the quality of medical care, the professionalism of the staff, and the overall environment play critical roles in ensuring a positive and effective experience. Visiting the facility in person, if possible, and seeking up-to-date reviews and recommendations from other local pet owners might provide a more comprehensive understanding of the current state of North Escondido Animal Hospital.
As a Pet Hospital serving the Escondido community, North Escondido Animal Hospital likely aims to provide essential veterinary services. However, the feedback suggests that there may be areas where improvements could enhance the quality of care and the overall client experience. Potential clients are encouraged to weigh the convenience of location against the reported concerns regarding customer service, administrative efficiency, and certain aspects of the veterinary and technical care provided.
Promotional information is not explicitly available in the provided text. Typically, a Pet Hospital might promote services such as seasonal vaccination specials, discounts on first visits, or wellness packages. To obtain information on any current promotions or specific features of North Escondido Animal Hospital that may not be evident from the reviews, interested individuals are advised to contact the hospital directly at the provided phone numbers or visit their premises to assess the environment and speak with the staff.
In conclusion, North Escondido Animal Hospital is listed as a Pet Hospital located in Escondido, CA, offering veterinary care services. While its location may be convenient for some, publicly available feedback indicates potential areas of concern regarding customer service, administrative processes, and certain aspects of patient care. Prospective clients should consider these factors and conduct further research to make an informed decision about their pet's veterinary needs.

Dec 24, 2024 · Denise MVets are great. But Save yourself a Headache! Front Office utterly lost , incompetent for lack of a better description. No organization, very chaotic ,Both of the front desk clerks are extremely Rude, and seem Lost with No sense of direction. Couldnt answer simple questions. I thought maybe its a bad day….so i gave them another chance, but again and again these same two ladies continue to Validate my 1st Bad experience. I called , i was put on hold for 15 minutes. Called again, on a different day, they hang up on me. To further demonstrate their incompetent work Ethic, they scheduled my Very sick dog’s follow up on a Day their office is Closed, No apology no accountability for the huge mistake…. Front office is trash. Absolutely terrible experience. Save yourself a Headache!
Nov 17, 2022 · R G-398This practice has declined in quality since Dr L retired. Today, despite numerous requests for a call back timely, I stressed TIMELY, to advise me that my prescription for my dog was ready, the “fill-in” Vet did not ring me back until 30 minutes before they closed on a Saturday. The vet was aware I like 1-2 hours away and could not make it in to their office time to fill my prescription. I pressed her as to what I can do as my dog is in severe pain, she said I had to wait until Tuesday to get my meds or I could try to get it filled at Wal-Mart. Wal-mart told me they never have offered the drug, my Vet was mistaken. Essentially this Dr cared nothing about the additional suffering my pet would endure, just because she couldn’t be bothered to ring me back. I should’ve know that with numerous signs on the walls saying they are “extremely short staffed” our patience is appreciated. Big red flag!!!!
Jan 20, 2024 · Stacey HaleTook great care of my two cats Siegfried and Roy. Have always gone here and always will.
Jul 23, 2022 · Gary MaruskaThese are compassionate vets and assistants who make it easy when a pet has to be euthanized. They explained everything, gave me choices about my pets ashes, had kleenex ready and gave me as much time as I needed with my fur baby. I also thought the price was reasonable. My dog had cancer and they and specialists tried everything to save her but it wasn't to be.
