My roommate brought her cat in for a checkup. Not sure exactly which doctor she was with but we nor anyone we know will ever be going back. The poor cat was returned shocked shaking and COVERED IN HIS OWN FECES. The doctor then proceeded to berate my roommate and tell her that she’s a “bad cat mom” and “shouldn’t own cats”. He is a perfectly healthy young cat and she loves him deeper than a son. It was unprofessional, inappropriate and uncalled for. A professional in any field should never talk to someone that way and an animal should never be returned to their owner is such deplorable conditions.

The online reviews for North Country Cat Hospital present a mixed perspective on the services provided. One recent account describes a deeply negative experience following a cat's check-up. According to the review, the cat was returned to its owner in a distressed state, exhibiting shock, shaking, and being soiled with feces. The reviewer further alleges that the attending doctor berated the cat's owner, making unprofessional and judgmental remarks about their pet ownership. This account raises significant concerns regarding the handling of feline patients and the level of communication and professionalism demonstrated during this particular visit. The reviewer explicitly states that neither they nor anyone they know will return to this Pet Hospital based on this experience.

In contrast to this negative experience, another review offers a long-term positive perspective on the care provided at North Country Cat Hospital. This client highlights their experience with Dr. Evans, who has served as their cats' veterinarian for 32 years. They commend Dr. Evans for her extensive knowledge across all life stages of cats, from kittenhood to old age. The reviewer describes Dr. Evans as "very helpful & compassionate" in her interactions with both young and senior feline patients. This long-standing relationship and positive feedback suggest a history of dedicated and caring service from at least one of the veterinarians at the practice. This contrasting review indicates that the experiences at North Country Cat Hospital may vary.

As a dedicated Cat Hospital, North Country Cat Hospital likely offers a range of services specifically designed for feline health. These services may include routine wellness examinations tailored to cats, vaccinations formulated for feline diseases, and preventative care such as parasite control. Given the specialization, the hospital is likely equipped to handle feline-specific health concerns and may have expertise in diagnosing and treating conditions common in cats. Dental care, nutritional counseling, and behavioral consultations are also services that a dedicated cat hospital might provide. It is reasonable to assume that the facility is designed to be a cat-friendly environment, minimizing stress and anxiety often associated with veterinary visits for felines.

Information regarding the specific environment of North Country Cat Hospital is not detailed in the provided reviews. However, a dedicated Cat Hospital typically strives to create a calm and secure atmosphere for feline patients. This might include separate waiting areas to avoid the stress of other animal species, quiet examination rooms, and specialized equipment designed for cats. The focus is generally on minimizing potential stressors and creating a comfortable space that caters to the unique sensitivities of cats.

Based on the available information, the features of North Country Cat Hospital are somewhat contrasting. A significant feature, highlighted by the long-term positive review, is the experience and knowledge of Dr. Evans, particularly regarding the various life stages of cats and her compassionate approach. This suggests a potential strength in the continuity of care and the depth of understanding of feline health by at least one of the practitioners. However, the starkly negative recent review points to a potential lack of consistent professionalism and appropriate handling of feline patients in all instances. This inconsistency in reported experiences is a key feature that potential clients should consider.

Currently, there is no promotional information available for North Country Cat Hospital in the provided text. Individuals interested in learning more about their services, current promotions, or to address the concerns raised in the negative review are encouraged to contact the hospital directly at (518) 793-0994. Given the conflicting feedback, it may be beneficial for potential clients to inquire about the specific protocols for handling cats during examinations and the qualifications and approaches of the different veterinarians on staff. While the long-standing positive experience with Dr. Evans is noteworthy, the recent negative account warrants careful consideration and further inquiry to ensure a comfortable and respectful experience for both the cat and the owner. It is important for pet owners to feel confident in the care their animals receive and to be treated with professionalism and respect.

Dr. Evans is AMAZING. I have taken my cats to her for many years. She is so compassionate toward animals, listens intently to your concerns & has always done a thorough exam on my cats. She has a calm nature and is very knowledgeable. She has accommodated me when I have needed her help quickly & has been a godsend. 🙏 She is the BEST cat vet in the area. I recommend her without hesitation. 5*****

Unfortunately they don't do spaying or neutering of cats but I just had the most amazing phone call with the receptionist and to me that's everything and if I ever need to bring my cat somewhere in an emergency situation absolutely would go here 🥰
