I had a very disappointing experience with the veterinary services here. Initially, I had an appointment scheduled for 4:30, but I was called and told there were multiple cancellations, and they had earlier openings. I arrived around 1:20, only to be told I would need to come back at 2:30 because they were in meetings. I understood that, so no issue there. When I returned at 2:30, I was told to wait in a different area because they needed to keep the exam rooms open for others. Again, not ideal, but I was fine with it. Then, when I told them I wanted to put my dog on a wellness plan, they quickly processed the paperwork and swiped my card, which was great at first. However, after that, I was left waiting for over 30 minutes with no updates. The staff was chatting and laughing in the back, clearly engaging in good customer service with others, but I was just left in this room on the other side of the building with no word on what was happening. After waiting long enough, I stepped out to ask if I needed to reschedule, and that’s when I was told there were two emergencies. While I understand emergencies happen, it would’ve been nice to be informed rather than left wondering. It would’ve been even nicer to experience the level of customer service others were receiving but I digress. What really set the tone, though, was the female nurse’s rude behavior. Her attitude, tone, and body language were unprofessional and unsettling. When she went to talk to the doctor, it was the same one who had checked us in earlier, and he was fine—apologetic and kind. However, the nurse’s behavior was so off-putting that I decided to cancel the wellness plan and let them know I wouldn't be continuing care at this clinic. She was absolutely rude and disrespectful. Overall, I cannot trust a place with my dog when the staff treats me so poorly. Customer service is crucial, especially in the veterinary field, and I didn’t feel respected or valued here. What should have been a simple visit turned into a stressful experience, and I won’t be returning.

Great place for pets depending on who the doctor is. As for how the company treats employees, I would give 0 stars, if a complaint is made to HR about your manager or doctor , HR allows retaliation and micromanaging following the complaint to lead to termination & will do nothing about it if you bring that to their attention with your proof. This company only cares about money and the company itself and maybe the doctors. But they care less about the rest of their staff, the turn over rate is high because of how employees are treated & the company honestly needs to do better.

Out of all the vet clinics I’ve been to in Jacksonville this is by far the best and most professional one out there !! Everyone was so helpful and nice, the receptionist checking me in was very patient and considerate along with the techs and the doctors, will definitely be coming back !!

I was so impressed with my experience at the Pet Paradise Resort Jacksonville - University that I decided to bring my dog to the veterinary clinic next door to the resort. I was happy from the the first contact via email and then phone. The staff is professional and friendly. So refreshing to be treated as a valued customer and trust that your pet is in safe hands.

I typically don't leave reviews, but I feel the need to share my recent experience to help other pet owners find the right vet for their fur child. It's crucial to find a vet who is both competent and compassionate, and unfortunately, my encounter with Dr. Joanne Connolly at New Day Veterinary Clinic fell short of these expectations. During our recent appointment, I showed Dr. Connolly an ulcer on the top of my dog's mouth. To my shock, she immediately declared it was cancer without any sensitivity to our feelings. Her blunt and indifferent manner left us feeling overwhelmed. She insisted we needed to get a scan with an oncologist urgently, emphasizing a hefty $2,000 cost. Her casual approach to the financial aspect was unsettling, assuming we had such funds readily available. When I suggested the possibility of doing a biopsy at their clinic before opting for an expensive scan with an oncologist, she dismissed it, claiming it would be a waste of our time and theirs. This left me distraught, feeling like my dog's potential cancer diagnosis was being treated as a minor issue. Adding to the concern, Dr. Connolly referred us to an oncologist who happened to be her friend. This raised questions about objectivity and impartiality in the referral process. Seeking a second opinion turned out to be a crucial decision. Beach St. Johns Animal Hospital provided the care and empathy that was lacking at New Day. He conducted the biopsy that Dr. Connolly denied, and to our relief, the ulcer turned out to be benign. Dr. Connolly's lack of sensitivity and negligence is disheartening, and I believe the clinic should reconsider their hiring practices. I share this experience to prevent others from enduring similar treatment and encourage them to seek reliable and compassionate veterinary care elsewhere.
