We recently got a new bearded dragon, and needed to take her in for her first visit. The staff were so professional and were very encouraging about offering tips on caring for a reptile. We will definitely continue to take Pancakes here.

Our services encompass a broad range of preventative care to keep your pet healthy and thriving. This includes routine wellness examinations, vaccinations tailored to your pet's lifestyle and risk factors, parasite prevention programs (such as flea, tick, and heartworm control), and nutritional counseling to ensure your pet is receiving the optimal diet. We believe that proactive care is essential in preventing illnesses and detecting potential health issues early, leading to better long-term outcomes for your pet.
In addition to preventative care, Newark Veterinary Hospital offers comprehensive diagnostic services. Our in-house laboratory allows us to perform timely and accurate blood tests, urinalysis, and other diagnostic procedures, providing crucial information for diagnosing various conditions. We also have advanced imaging capabilities, including digital radiography (X-rays), which helps us visualize internal structures and identify problems that may not be apparent during a physical examination. These diagnostic tools enable our veterinarians to make informed decisions about your pet's treatment plan.

We are equipped to handle a wide range of medical conditions, from common illnesses to more complex cases. Our team will thoroughly assess your pet's condition, explain the diagnosis and treatment options in detail, and work with you to develop a personalized plan that best suits your pet's needs and your preferences.

Oct 16, 2024 · ShaneI absolutely love this vet. I have had nothing but great experiences with all three of my labs. They always get me in right away if I have a major situation and are super caring. They go out of their way to take care of our dogs as if they were there own.
Dec 16, 2024 · Marlene WilsonThis has nothing to do with your services except a hospital should include longer hours. That would be the same as going to a reg hospital for people but sorry the ER is closed till morning. We had to drive our border collie clear to Dayton for a midnight emergency and yes she had to be put down an hour after that due to an undiagnosed cancer. So will you be offering longer hours?
Jan 29, 2025 · dorothy GradyMy cat received good care the one or two times he was seen here, but when we had an emergency, the front desk bluntly said they're busy and take him somewhere else. So we are no longer taking our cats here anymore.
Jan 02, 2025 · D GMy little gentleman had never been to the vet before so he went in for a wellness check and to have an abscess checked. From making the appointment to the time we left, everyone I spoke to or interacted with was kind and helpful. I felt everything was reasonably priced and that everything I would be charged for was explained well. My boy isn’t a huge fan of being away from mama, but he was such a good boy for Dr. Houser, which assures me he felt safe while I waited for him out in the car. COVID curbside appointments aren’t ideal, but this fur mama felt her boy was in good hands every minute he was away. I definitely recommend Newark Veterinary Hospital!
