Went here for the first time today as a new patient last minute because I recently moved to the area and my dog was having diarrhea for multiple days. They got him in and were so kind and amazing with my dog. The first visit was also free with the exception of his meds and food they gave him
Dec 19, 2024 路 Gabrielle SmithEmergency visit day before my elderly dog (turning 16 in a few weeks). He had a horrifically bad upset stomach and could barely stand. He wasn't eating or drinking. I was devastated thinking that if I was able to get him into a vet he probably wouldn't be coming home with me. It's hard enough finding a vet taking new patients when you move to a new area, but it was also a major holiday. I was being referred to an emergency place that was a distance away (by a receptionist, but more frequently, a recording). I know people who've brought their pets there and they werent thrilled with the experience. I kept going down the list google gave me of local vets and I'm so THRILLED I didn't give up! My call to New Hope Veterinary was answered by an actual person with the friendliest voice. She listened patiently and empathetically. I believe she really cared and that she was as concerned about my dog as I was. I called them around 1pm and was given a 4:30pm appt that day! WOW!!! The gps was really off in the directions it gave, but I eventually found them right across from McDonald's. There was plenty of parking (I think it's their own lot). We were greeted warmly and brought to a room very quickly. My dog was having problems getting around, but perked up a little with all the smells and it gave me hope. The vet & assistant come in and they were perfect. Friendly, but concerned. Thorough, knowledgeable & informative. Wasn't quite sure exactly what was going on, but there was a definite plan of action. They took X-rays, drew blood, gave a shot for the dehydration and gave a prescription for antibiotics (they filled and gave it to me). They assured me they'd call the following day (Christmas) with results of blood work. I suddenly remembered he'd been making little excursions to the property of the venison butcher next door since they opened mid-september or so. The vet's face lit up! She knew IMMEDIATELY that he must be finding "scraps" and that the raw meat was causing the problems! She'd experienced a similar problem with her own lab because her father was a hunter. What a relief that the problem could be treated and it would be easy enough to prevent in the future. Yay!!!!! Later that night he finally was able to eat some poached chicken breast. He was accident free through the night and was wanting food in the morning like he usually did. Very quickly he started getting his strength back and getting back to his normal self. He's still doing GREAT! I highly recommend this vet's office. Not just because they took my dog as a new patient (and at the last minute on a holiday), but their personalities & mannerisms were outstanding! I was afraid, but they understood and were very caring & comforting. I know my dog is elderly and our time left to be together is very limited. Words can't express how grateful I am that my dog was able to be seen, treated and again has some bounce left in his step! I don't know what the outcome would have been had I brought him anywhere else. It was meant to be that we found this vet so locally in new hope. It was really a Christmas blessing for us. We have a new vet and I'm extremely confident that your pet will receive the same incredible treatment that mine did. Thank you VERY MUCH New Hope Veterinary Hospital!!! 馃グ
Jan 08, 2025 路 Sharon VarechaThis is my second review of New Hope Veterinary Hospital. Again, I have to say how wonderful they have been for our family. We have a 2 year old Yorkie mix with multiple issues ranging from allergies, anaphylactic to bees and colitis. Every single issue we have had the front desk has been accommodating and kind. They always get us in as quickly as they can. I cannot give enough praise to Dr. Struening, who is extremely knowledgeable and so sweet to our boy Moose. We have come in with mysterious issues and she has always gotten to a successful diagnosis. The vet technicians always greet Moose with a big smile and have been so welcoming to us with every situation. We highly recommend New Hope Veterinary hospital to anyone looking.

Dec 17, 2024 路 Tom R de JongWe had a big scare with our Yorkie mix Moose getting stung by a bee 馃悵. He had a severe reaction and I have been an absolute mess. The staff at the vet was so absolutely wonderful. Dr. G went above and beyond contacting me after hours as well as researching solutions for us for home emergency care. As well as Dr. Cerven reaching out to me during her personal time. Ally at the front desk is always so sweet and willing to help with all my questions. She was the calm when we brought Moose in for his emergency visit. This is our first dog and I can鈥檛 recommend them enough! Love them 馃挄
