If I could give more than five stars, I would. I am pretty sure the vet that came to aid in our furry family member Zues end of life was a real life angel. Alyssa Watson has an angelic presence without a doubt. Usually, Zeus really dislikes meeting strangers. Especially if they are in his house. When she first walked in, he made an effort to get up and bark. But she walked over to him as if she had known him all of his life, sank down on her knees and gave him love, and he immediately was at ease. I was shocked. The entire process could not have been more beautiful or more personal. Zeus's end of life could not have been any better for him. She has a magical way of dealing with animals and grieving people. At such a very difficult moment, this is a gift. I can not recommend this place highly enough, or Alyssa highly enough. Thank you Alyssa and Nevada Pet Hospice!

At Nevada Pet Hospice, located at 7121 W Craig Rd, Las Vegas, NV 89129, USA, we understand that saying goodbye to a beloved pet is one of the most challenging experiences for any pet owner. As a specialized pet hospital focusing on end-of-life care, we are dedicated to providing compassionate, dignified, and personalized services to ensure your animal companion's comfort and peace during their final moments. Within the broader category of Pet Hospitals, Nevada Pet Hospice stands out by offering a unique and essential service: specialized care focused on the quality of life for pets facing terminal illnesses or the natural end of their lives.

Our philosophy centers on providing a gentle and supportive environment, primarily within the familiar comfort of your own home. We believe that allowing pets to remain in their familiar surroundings during their final days minimizes stress and anxiety, fostering a more peaceful transition. While we may have a physical address, our primary service model revolves around bringing our compassionate care directly to you and your pet.

The environment we strive to create is one of tranquility and empathy. Our team understands the emotional weight of this time and is committed to providing not only expert veterinary care but also genuine emotional support for you and your family. We aim to make the process as smooth and comfortable as possible, respecting your feelings and honoring the bond you share with your pet. While we may not have a traditional clinic setting for these specific services, our focus is on transforming your home into a peaceful sanctuary for your pet's final moments.

The core service offered by Nevada Pet Hospice is compassionate end-of-life care. This encompasses a range of services tailored to meet the individual needs of your pet and your family:

  • In-Home Euthanasia: Providing a peaceful and dignified passing for your pet in the comfort and privacy of your own home. This eliminates the stress of travel and allows your pet to be surrounded by loved ones in a familiar environment.
  • Quality of Life Assessments: Helping you evaluate your pet's comfort and well-being to make informed decisions about their care. Our experienced veterinarians can provide guidance and support in assessing your pet's pain levels, mobility, appetite, and overall happiness.
  • Pain Management and Comfort Care: Implementing strategies to manage your pet's pain and ensure their comfort during their final days or weeks. This may include medications, supportive care techniques, and recommendations for creating a comfortable environment.
  • Hospice Care: Providing comprehensive care for pets with terminal illnesses, focusing on maximizing their quality of life for the time they have remaining. This includes pain management, nutritional support, and addressing any specific needs to keep your pet as comfortable and happy as possible.
  • Grief Support and Resources: Offering emotional support and resources to help you cope with the loss of your beloved pet. Our team understands the profound grief associated with losing a pet and can provide guidance and connections to support services.

If I could rate more than 5 stars, I would. What a terrible day, but Dr. Toby Goldman made it the best it could be. So empathetic, compassionate, and incredibly detailed about the entire process. We couldn’t have asked for a better person to send our sweet boy off. Thank you Dr. Goldman!

It sure is tough being a doggie parent when you have to say goodbye. We were referred by good friends to Nevada Pet Hospice a couple years ago when we had to say goodbye to our Kimo. Dr Toby is a true professional. He walks you through the process patiently and with a lot of compassion and allows you enough time to process through everything and say your goodbyes. My wife and I would highly recommend their services. It’s hard enough coming to terms with having to let your baby go but they sure do make it as comfortable as possible

I agree with another post I read, I would give them a 10 Star if available. Dr Watson was a true angel and very caring and gentle. Mila never liked strangers. but she acted like she had known Dr. Watson forever. Was a sad day, but she made it easier to complete and REALLY showed compassion and caring. Can say enough about how well it went. A++++++
