Neartown Animal Clinic

My experience since transferring both of my dogs to Neartown has been amazing!! Dr. Miller is truly wonderful!!! I’ve been at the ease since moving my girls here and with Dr. Miller’s approach to their care. I wasn’t pressured to make rushed decisions or overwhelmed with lots of treatments/medications, etc. Instead she listened and truly took time to become familiar with my dogs to recommend the best treatment. I feel confident my dogs will never be over medicated or in a constant state of change and that they will always receive the most professional and well-informed treatment plans. It doesn’t end with Dr. Miller. William, who scheduled my first appointment and handled my checkout, was exceptional. He made the whole process easy and shared what options were available for getting my dogs’ medication. Daisy greeted us when we arrived. She could not have been kinder or more welcoming. My dogs loved our vet technician Alexis!! Even my shy German Shepherd puppy. She was gentle and patient with them. I’m pretty sure they’d be excited to go to their next appointment just to see her…and the rest of the team. Thank you Neartown Animal Clinic!!!

We recently had our first visit at Neartown Animal Clinic and had an excellent experience. The staff was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable, and they went above and beyond to make our new puppy feel comfortable during the visit. The facilities were clean and well-maintained, and the vet took the time to answer all of my questions thoroughly. A special thanks to Destine for making our visit special, she was so kind and took her time with us. I highly recommend to anyone looking for top-notch care for their pets!

I moved to Houston and was looking for a vet for my dog. Neartown had good reviews so I took my dog there. It was nothing special but they were extremely expensive. I walked out with around a $400 bill for just getting her regular shots. That's not where the 2 stars comes from. I was just gonna chalk that up to living in a bigger city. The 2 stars comes from my interaction with them after my dog was attacked and needed urgent care. She had gaping wounds from where another dog grabbed on and wouldn't let go. I called them shaking and frightened and the girl who answered the phone said no one could see her because they were understaffed. Ok. Fine. She then went on to say I could leave my bleeding dog with them and they MIGHT be able to see her tomorrow. I said "what? You want me to drop off my injured dog that needs immediate attention so you can get to her maybe tomorrow???" She was like "yeah, sorry." I said that doesn't even make sense. She was indifferent. She didn't offer to help me find an ER vet or anything. Maybe I'm spoiled by my former vet that would've seen her in an emergency or offered to call the ER vet and let them know I was on the way. Not neartown! They were not concerned with her wellbeing at all. If I could drop her off and let her bleed out while they did whatever, they might have seen her the next day and gladly charged an exorbitant fee for substandard care (if she was still alive by then). After that ridiculous phone call, I called Bayou City Vet and even though they couldn't take her, the woman was so helpful and asked me where I lived and found the closest ER vet to me. I will no longer pay for overpriced services at neartown and will be moving my business to Bayou City. I didn't like the prices at neartown but I paid them until they showed me, in one phone call, how indifferent they are to my dog's needs.

The entire staff is very nice and helpful when my dog is a little nervous. Treats in the waiting rooms really help!

I love neartown for their great care. I brought all my 3 dogs here when I moved from DC and recently had to put down my very senior dog and they were so sweet and respectful. Thank you Dr Miller for your humanity.
