I took my dog to My Vet Grassfield at the very last minute this past Saturday for GI issues, and they were able to see him pretty quickly. Everyone that I encountered there was very nice and helpful. I truly appreciate them being able to see my dog on such short notice. Thank you for making my little guy feel better!

First time seeing a veterinarian here, we were seen for a same day appointment. I called at 9:00 and we were given an appointment for 11:30. Everyone was very friendly and polite. Our dog had become sick after traveling from Michigan to Virginia, poor guy was miserable. He received necessary tests and medications. We had authorized an X-ray, the vet decided that it was not necessary unless our dog did not improve. I was pleased that unnecessary tests were not required. We were informed to bring him back if he did not improve. Our dog loved everyone there. We loved our experience there.

I have had a hard time finding a vet in the Hampton Roads area over the last 20 years, and I honestly hessitated to write this review out of my own selfish desire to keep this gem to myself. I'm also not one to do surveys or reviews because they are rarely used for improving workflow or practices but instead used by employers as justification to refuse raises and are solely responsible for the abandonment of human decency by creating Karen's and rewarding idiot's with free services in exchange for the verbal abuse of staff to keep employees in a state of acceptance of abuse to discourage them from protesting pizza parties and asking for a livable wage but I digress... and now that at least 30% of the Karen's have hopefully stopped reading this post... This office is AMAZING for the following reasons: 1. They offer urgent and wellness visits, so I am always able to be seen when I need care and their walk-in wait time is less than any other vet's scheduled appointment waits. 2. EVERYONE on their team is kind, smart, AND nonjudgemental. I don't have to make appointments with specific doctor's to get the best service and care. 3. They have the best prices I have found in the area, lots of parking, and they do not try to upsell services for profit. I had one very popular vet's office in Chesapeake casually offer a "declaw" surgery with my senior cat's dental cleaning. They also wanted to restart an ENTIRE vaccine series because the previous vet had completed the schedule in non-exact increments and the 2 shots were not "exactly 28 days apart". I also tried one office in Norfolk that would not allow you in the exam room and after completion of a wellness visit the vet noticed on the bill that they had "forgot to take their blood pressure" and took our cat back to the exam room and charged 20$ for that service. My point is that I don't worry about that with this office, and they are very upfront and transparent about cost breakdowns prior to and during every single step of each appointment. 4. When I had almost lost all hope in finding a caring and ethical practice, my dog ripped his toe nail and almost a dew claw off at 5pm the Friday before our Sunday flight to a non-refundable week long vacation, and this was the only non-ER vet open within 20 miles that had an open appointment slot for the next 3 weeks. Eventhough they were scheduled to close within the hour, they gladly waited for my husband (because the puppy is too big and too spicy for me to put into the truck OR hold down at the vet's office) to rush home from work and take him in. 5. They welcomed STRANGERS (not some special favorite client) in and stayed late without attitude, eye rolls, or protest from any staff members to make sure our spicy unmedicated jerk of a puppy was taken care of. Every pet and every pet parent is treated like family at this practice, and I was starting to think that only happened on shows like Dr. Pol on the Disney Channel. 100 out of 5 stars

I LOVE LOVE the staff at My Vet! They have office hours that acomdate my work schedule, you can book appointments on line and once you arrive they give you an itemized estimate for services! My pups are well cared for !

MyVet was able to see my dog when my regular vet had no appointments. Turns out she was having a pancreatic flare-up, and required intervention via fluids and meds. Even though it was a very busy Saturday in urgent care medicine, the staff and doctor took their time with us, and reviewed my dogs complicated medical history forwarded by her regular doctor thoroughly. I am very appreciative of the staff there and, now that I know they are there, I rest easier knowing there is an urgent care with such caring staff so close to me. 11/10!
